i went two teeth larger on the front iv got a ejk controler but it its bigest diffrence is more noise and a faster empty tank, so mines quite at 60+ [ Honda C.R.F.250 ]
Very informative video. Nice one. My commute is a mixture of high speed A roads and then central London traffic. Think that I have to stick to 16 teeth to get the best of both worlds.
I have a 2006 CG125 which was geared up slightly, must have been done by a previous owner for 'cruising', these bikes don't have the torque to pull higher gears, understandable on something like an Enfield with plenty of low revving pull but not on these, I have now geared it down slightly from standard and it's transformed,l; pulls away nicely instead of having to abuse the clutch! 0-30mph on these 125s feels fairly brisk, it's going from there to higher speeds that isn't so good, 60 seems like a lifetime to achieve but the sweet spot is around 50mph I find anyway and it's a pleasure to potter around at this velocity on a small bike.
I have an 07 cg 😃 by far the best bike I've owned and can see exactly what you mean with the top end issue (I ride a lot of 50+ zones) however I have a cbf back wheel on it and it's been a pain in the arse because the brake shoes are different and the sprocket bolts are in different places.. also tyres are tubed on the cg. Nice simple bike to work on though 👌🏻
A definite improvement of acceleration... Enables you to go for that overtake or gap in traffic you wouldn’t have before. I still got to 65, by which point it was reviving high but didn’t test the top speed. I hardly ever need to go 70...

Stock 2021 CBF125 came with 14 on the front, should we go up to 15?

Top speed difference?
Nice one would you say it's a noticeable difference on acceleration and did it effect top end speed much?as always appreciate your vids buddy😉👍

I think it was around 5- 10mph drop in top end
and whats the stock front sprocket ?

Quick one. Did you use a CBF 125 specific sprocket or did you just get a generic 15T sprocket? Thanks mate
GTAMASTER I just got a third party one, from JT to be specific.
