I've definitely been a victim of it a few times before where other channels published a video on the same topic I was planning on doing a few days before me. Thirdly, it takes a while to make videos. There's a very high chance that BrainStuff was already working on this before SciShow published their video, and didn't feel like scrapping it just because someone else got to it first. A very similar situation occurred recently with CGP Grey and Vsauce3. Don't jump to conclusions of people ripping other people off when there are much more legitimate answers.

Why do eye boogers form a circular shape around the eye if removed? They don't just form near your nose, but all the way around your eyeball. I've slowly removed them before while they're still wet and it forms a circle of mucus.
