FINALLY something helpful in this space. I unfortunately bought a virtual address at start up of my LLC but it’s not accepted when opening a lot of biz accts. Sounds like I need a registered agent address.
This video is so helpful. I have looked at so many and you provided what I was looking for. I was wondering if I could use my local post office USPS street address with P.O. Box # as my physical/registered address. And you answered my question that it can be used. Thank you for sharing. Subscribed! 👍🏾
I mean you can, but, if you’re trying to build a credit rating for your business, if you used post office box street addressing, you wouldn’t be disabusing any banks of their knowledge that it’s a glorified PO Box address. The same goes for UPS store type mailing addresses, “virtual office” addresses (such as Regus) and co-working spaces (such as WeWork). The big (and small) banks (and credit unions) have database software that informs them of ALL of these places, and may see you as less credible without a bona fide commercial lease of an office space.
You just pointed out a great hack ( I think) So I can use a registered agent as my business mailing address? This would be such a great savings over paying monthly for a virtual office! Could you clarify?
This is very informative. I have a question though, still able to claim a portion of your residence during tax if you have a physical address other than your home
Hi Paige, I went to the Secretary of State website to change my address. I noticed you have to change it in 3 place there: one is Principle address, second is mailing, third is mailing for LLC. For privacy, do I change it on all 3.
I have a clothing business in California and I opted for Bizee registered agent and virtual address but also have an ups P.O. Box with street addressing. Could I get rid of the virtual mailbox? Or is it better to have both?
I've heard that when you use a registered agent company like ZenBusiness or Incfile, you can't use an address of theirs, and you still need to list your home address or get a virtual mailbox. But you're saying the opposite here... Can you clarify?
Although we can't speak for those businesses, most have an address you can use for legal correspondence. The ones listed in this blog are the ones we have heard great things about: thelegalpaige.com/blogs/blog/which-registered-agent-is-right-for-you
To clarify, using a registered agent will cover the registered agents address but what about primary address? My bank will not accept a po box or virtual address, do I put my home address then under primary? The registered agent I called told me after the first year the primary address is available to the public, so what is the point of the registered agent then and trying to hide identity?
This would be a great question for our Facebook group, The Legal Paige Community! Feel free to expand on your question there. facebook.com/groups/602195700208827
Thank you for you video, so clair. I formed my LLC with incfile and all went well. I took my Physical Address for my LLC that is already from this address, I didn't know that sometimes I will be asked for proof of this one, like an utility bill of internet connection or else. I don't really know what to do now because the physical address I used is telling me that they will not provide me with a utility bill on that address. It's a big problem for me. Please tell me how can I do

Which address do you use when applying for a Llc and you want to utilize your llc for government contracts?
It's best to use a registered agent's address or physical mailing address for this purpose if you have a brick and mortar location.

This is a state to state issue. You can try to put a business address if you can, but follow the state and bank's guidelines for addresses.
*What about virtual offices who are not agents??*

Hi
I want to establish a business in USA but I don't know how to register the LLC kindly suggest me what should I do?#foreigner
When applying for EIN,do you put your personal address or VIRTUAL address? I don’t want them to post my personal address
Virtual should work if you don't have a registered agent!
Thank you for you video, so clair.

I wanna know too.
Did you ever resolve this issue? If so how so?
Can I use my virtual address for a second business??
There should be no issue using a virtual address for your business!
You’re very cute
