I disagree. I didn't hate it but I feel like there are too many characters and they are trying to tell too much. Bigger isn't always better. The Duffer brothers don't want to kill off any of their main characters, but are still adding new characters and they don't know what to do with them. Will, Mike, and Jonathon's storyline going all the way to Suzie's place just kind of felt forced to me, suggesting that they just didn't have anything better to do. And ep 7 was 1 hour and 40 minutes, and those three weren't in it at all. Half the stuff that happened just seemed like unnecessary filler, or something that could have taken half the time it did. I honestly feel like this is their worst season, because they're trying to go above and beyond everything they've already done, but that doesn't necessarily make a good show. For me, Mike always seemed like the 'main character' out of the four boys in season 1, and now all he really does is worry about El. I feel like they've ruined some really good characters by shoving them out of the way to make room for more elaborate and unnecessary plotlines.
