  • We delve into the lore of D&D Dark Sun with the fourth novel, The Obsidian Oracle, written by the campaign setting's co-creator, Troy Denning. This book is about the Psionicist and Master of the Way Agis and his quest for the Dark Lens and to stop his "best friend" King Tithian of Tyr from getting it.
This is part 4 of our 5 part review of the Prism Pentad book series that were incorporated into the Dark Sun campaign setting's Metaplot.

This was bittersweet for me. Agis is my favorite character I was really looking forward to this book. Upon reflection Agis does not have any solo victories with the exception of 1 incident. In The previous two books Rikis and Sadira overcome a lot of obstacles on their own with skills or magic. I feel it was the author’s way of not favoring the male human who would usually receive the lion’s share of the story. I guess it also sets the final book to be more interesting and avoids predictable theories.
