- Wart the Frog? Antasma? Fat Lakitu? That's right, Mario Wonder's villain was accidentally leaked by an ESRB description. Let's talk about the leak, and how it shapes Super Mario Bros. Wonder's potential. On June 21st, Super Mario Wonder was announced for Nintendo Switch. On July 29th, the main "true" villain was leaked on a news description on the ESRB website. Let's hop in!

Dangit, I wanted it to be Bowser's brother (you know the *BLUE BOWSER* from The Lost Levels). Well apparently there's still a chance. If that's the case that would be crazy for the lore and for the future games. A Mario Bros vs Bowser Bros. fight in a future game would be crazy.
That would be so awesome, I love that idea! There's always a chance they throw in a surprise villain at the end :)
@@MetateraYT That's also what I want. Besides, this first trailer didn't show Bowser at all, except for a ship that looks kinda like Bowser.
But if it's Bowser's brother, it makes sense that he uses a Bowser ship (he's probably still part of the Koopa army) and that would explain the slight differences some people seem to have spotted on the castle in the background at some point in the trailer.
Or maybe it's his own ship that looks like himself. If they're brothers, they look alike, but they're not EXACTLY the same (well they probably redesigned him to not just be Bowser but blue) and this ship could be his.
And if you compare it for example to Mario Odyssey's first trailer, in which Bowser was the final boss, he was in that trailer. While he's completly absent of Wonder's trailer.
Mario Wonder reintroducing Wart could actually be Nintendo’s test subject for the Mario Movie sequel. If Wart in this were to be welcomed by the community with open arms, then Nintendo would probably be confident enough to include him in a future film, even hinting that Mario and Bowser would (briefly) team up to stop him. The introduction of Yoshi in the sequel may also include Birdo in the sequel as well, further fueling the flame for Wart’s return, and expanding the Mario cinematic universe.

I feel like it’s a new villain because if you look at bowser jr’s eyes. They look a bit yellow and look like the ones on bowsers ship. Also no hate to my koopa buds, but I hardly believe they just gained reality shifting powers out of nowhere (unless it has something to do with their arsenal, like fire and their koopa features). So it’s probably a new villain that can not only hypnotize people, but can also make these weird wonder world sequences. Whatever the case I’m really excited for this game, AND DAISY IS IN IT WHAT MORE COULD YOU WANT 🤩.
These are awesome thoughts! I think it's possible that Bowser's at least being helped by another bad guy. But hey, regardless we got DAISY! Haha
Those who are predicting Antasma to be in the game are too optimistic for their own good. Mario and Luigi characters have never shown up outside the Mario and Luigi series.

@@MetateraYT Sorry dude. It ain't happening. Most of the one off villains in the series died at the end making it clear they're never coming back. Plus, I think bringing past villains back solely for fan service would devalue them in the long run.
Notice how in the trailer all the noises, yelps, gasps etc that the characters make sound way different than other games.

There is an old Mario fan-game where Kamek is the final boss (Bowser is present, but only as a secret final boss). I think he would be suitable for the role of the main villain of this game.
That could work as well! Kamek sometimes helps Bowser towards the end in other games (New Super Mario Bros. Wii, Dream Team etc.), so it's a possibility :)

(I don't know anything about what's to come in Super Mario Wonder, but...) Some say it's either Wart or Fantasma, others say it could be Bowser, again. I say it could be a new villain that we might easily forget, like Lord Fredrick in _Donkey Kong County: Tropical Freeze_

It would be rlly interesting if the main villain of super mario bros wonder was NOT bowser, we havent had a mainline mario game with a diff main villain ever since super mario land 2.

and those wonder seeds are the key to his power
after defeating the fake final boss "Bowser" or "king wart" he will betray you and reveal himself to be the true villain

I actually fell for this and thought to my self wow Nintendo finally reusing old bosses. Then I remembered bowsers ship and then u said u were kidding.

Perhaps the blue Bowser Jr could be the son of Dark Bowser from Mario and Luigi: Bowser’s Inside Story, that’s just a theory tho. I would love for Dark Bowser to return in a future Mario game.

What if the villain behind this are the shroob princess and elder princess? They might have escaped the freezer somehow and want revenge, (in bowsers inside story, they were in BOWSERS freezer, so maybe they escaped and mind controled bowser and jr) and since their plans failed in mushroom kingdom, they went to the flower kingdom to get their kingdom done there... Probably this wont happen but the theory really matches the games story based on trailer lol

Yeah I honestly think Bowser SHOULD be the main villain and it's a GOOD thing he is, because he hasn't been a main villain since Odyssey which was 6 years ago, ever since Odyssey Bowser has been on Mario's side in Origami King and Sparks of hope. And he has already been possesed in Bowser's fury, so its a good thing he's back on being the main villain since it's been 6 years since he has been the villain.
