Hello lettering friend! I’m Sarah from Ensign Insights. I started hand lettering in 2016 during a really difficult time and hand lettering reminded me how to be happy. I dove in head first and haven’t looked back! I started teaching lettering and sharing that joy I found with others. My goal is to help you create hand lettering that feels like your best self. Most recently I've been doing that through a Hand Lettering Journal which is simply a journal filled with your own lettering! In 2021 my first book was published, Hand Lettering for Beginners. It includes everything I wish I had when I got started. I used to be addicted to buying new pens, and while I still love pens, I’m on a journey toward minimalism so I’ve been decluttering A LOT of pens. I’ve realized I’m more creative when I have just enough pens, not too many. I firmly believe that you can create something beautiful with what you have! How was your vacation at New York City? That is a nice pen haul and enjoying the variety of pen tests. Your handwriting and calligraphy are beautiful! It would be a special occasion to visit stationery stores in a different place. Thanks for sharing, would be overwhelmed with so much choices, would take far longer to land on a decision.

Yes exactly! It was a fun trip and it was really fun to go to special stores! But it was also hard haha!

Since crossing over from Lettering to Watercolor, I too want and "need" everything. But we must remember what's in the toy box at home! Tim Holtz says that and I totally relate!

Oh I love that!! Thanks for sharing! I don’t buy my kids every toy out there because I know they wouldn’t play with them! Our supplies are like toys where they would get too overwhelming if we had everything!

I think all stationery lovers go through some trial and error with testing different products. Have you made a list of what doesn't work/regrets to keep with you when at stores? No worries, you'll use up all that paper doing layouts and pen battles in videos for us, lol.
