I have 22 of these 400mm war planes, and I regularly film on my channel using a headcam and flying right past my head. I repainted a few and re-bought most as clear canopy version 2s with telemetry. I tried bigger planes but have gone back to these as they are no worries, can fly anywhere, even in strong winds (once used to it), and there are many more places to fly without endangering anyone. Super models. Your enjoyment sums them up George. Laurie.
Wow 22 must be hard deciding witch one to take out But if you have a van you probably take them all lol. Yes they are fun little things to fly. Glad you liked the post buddy 👍
Run the power lead from airplane through the one of the slits on door hatch, Then after batter is in run the power lead through other slit and close door. Bam you can then connect wires when ready. Your the first I told this and probably not the one who thought of it . But it works wonderfully! Brian Slugantz
Got one of these and I love it but there is one problem I should warn people about. Camouflage works! You will notice when there were trees in the background the plane seemed to disappear. That is how I lost my first one, however they will sell just the plane or certain parts so it wasn't that much to replace it.
Yeah, I can confirm. Flew the Mustang and then right after that the Spitfire. Had to put it back in self leveling mode a few times, because I lost orientation. The silver Mustang is much easier to see
after a few years flying quads ive just made the first jump into planes and wings, great to see you putting some vids out like this. Ive ordered the ARwing pro, the T1 ranger and the drift to get me started on my journey.
@@GeorgeCooper_LoneWolf Hi, Do you know if these can be bound to a Spektrum radio transmitter instead of the included cheap one, without having to make any modifications to the electronics inside the plane ?
@@HPPalmtopTube Yes, all RC gear can be certainly be bound to your Spektrum Radio transmitter. Just get some ordinary packaging tape and wrap it around them to hold them together! 🤔🙄 However, if you want to be better educated as to the limitations (in addition to the financial penalties of using WAY overpriced proprietary gear like Spektrum) of single protocol transmitters as opposed to a decent Multi-protocol Radio (like a Radiomaster) I suggest that you do some Googling. There's no shortage of intelligent videos on the Toob and advice on the RCGroups forums! 😉😊
The hatch behind the servo isn't glued. It can be pulled out quite easily. Beneath it is the flight controller and the two servos for elevator and rudder... On that board are sockets that allow a tiny DSMX satellite receiver to be connected, enabling you to use a proper Spektrum transmitter instead of the cheap and nasty Tx which comes with it 👍🏻
Up to you but to learn I would go for the Cub or the F4u because the spitfire won't fly slow because of the wings. However, that being said I crashed it a few times with no damage so go for it matey. 👍👍 🐺
Did you manage to convert it to fpv? Volantex i saw now has two warbirds with transparent canopies p51 and corsair if iam not wrong. I wonder if they r going yo release spitfire with transparent canopy also
You don't need the centre of gravity with this model as there is only one place to put the battery there's a little Hatch just underneath the front and it will only fit that size battery you so the C G is unimportant. Hope this helps
Hi just purchased the volantex Spitfire I already have the BF109 however when I unplug the battery from the Spitfire the transmitter beeps continually after about five seconds of unplugging the battery from the plane....does your transmitter do this where your Spitfire transmitter is concerned....as when I unplug the battery from the BF109 the transmitter doesn’t continually beep thanks
Hi, No mine does not beep however you say you've just picked it up so maybe the manufacturer has done it as some sort of upgrade so you know when your batteries unplugged either way doesn't sound like much of a problem so personally I wouldn't worry too much about it.
@@NoahJohnson7452 Yep. All the newer V761 Mini Warbirds shipped now will have the clear canopies and the new control programming with the "Auto Take-off" and Battery and Range Telemetry warnings.
Can you switch off gyro while flying? If so,does plane fly good or is adjustments and cg all wrong ? Then you should be able make trim adjustments either using radio in flight or manually with linkage...just would be nice to know since many of us like to fly without gyros also...thanks

Yes I used a cam from an old tiny whoop I'm connected it to a lollipop stick then just use a bit of velcro on the top of the plane.
I just ordered a clear canopy volantex 400mm spitfire, it just got released
