Im agnostic and I can see that the absence of religious belief and belief in God would contribute to increased rates of depression etc. However, if people dont believe they dont believe and therefore I derive little to no comfort from religion. But I remember my granny who was a true believer and I think of her and I hope she was right, and there'll be a heaven after this hell. But I dont believe as its not based on evidence.
