- Need to recreate 75 spindles for a historic staircase . So I shop made the tool to get it done . #woodturning . Making duplicate spindles , balusters for an old town Key West Inn .
You have an extremely efficient mind!👍
really works slick, duped' all the spindles for the job, looking good, thanks for showing how to do this......
Brilliant work Jason. Enjoyed watching your shop made lathe duplicator working and lol that must be the best painting method ever. Thanks for sharing. Tony
Glad you enjoyed it
Great video, do you have a link for the cutter used on the duplicator?
I particularly like the rig for
clamping a days worth of lumber
with one set of clamps, wood stacked
vertically, that's a game changer imv.
Tried to set this up today as my first attempt ever using the lathe. Gonna need to watch the video a few more times ; )
Great Job Jason. that works so well perfect finish saves time painting by hand plus a better finish that jig is so clever

Thanks 👍
Very nice Jason. Great job on the duplicator. Those are the projects I love doing even if I only use them a few times.
Yours worked like a dream.
Take care,
Gary
Thanks Gary . I appreciate it . Yeah we don't get many of these jobs , but they are fun when we do .
Thanks for sharing, awesome work and process. Full View and Like 👍
Thank you! Cheers!
Great video -- and that's a very clever jig! (But the music was too loud: I found it very hard to hear what you were saying!)
Thanks for the tip . I will be working on it for sure . Thanks again .
Amazing!
Thanks!
Would love to see more detail on how the jigs was made
Advancing on the material is a big
ghost area for me.
The longitudinal (sliding back and forth
part is evident, and a great idea) movement
seems like it would be better than the
free-floating rigs I've seen.
This is awesome 👏👏👏
Thank you!! 😁
Another great idea (well, to be fair 2)!! You keep those videos coming it's fun to see what you come up with next. 🌹🌹🌹
Thank you! 😊
nice work. that shop made duplicator from scrap was genius! I subbed to see what you come up with next.
Awesome, thank you!
Ingénieux!
You are a very talented guy!
Thank you sir
Excellent duplicator and perfect reproductions. Well done. How is it with small work like chess pieces?
Nice work. Do you have plans for the jig you created?
Talented in several ways. I like your homemade tool support and you are just plain smart.
Thank you very much!
Pardon my language, but that's fuckin' cool. Just sayin.
This was brilliant! I'm going to use the hook and dip idea for painting. Thanks so much for the video.
Brasil 👍👍
Curious what cutters you used
Way cool.
NOW, how is the OWL coming?
Hahahaha
Love from Maine 💜🙏
Did you have to sharpen the cutting bit at any point?
No , I was able to use the same bit for the whole process . And the same side .
Where's the money, Lebowski?
No offense, you look a lot like him :)
By the way, while watching the video, an idea came to mind - it is necessary to put a spring that will pull the carriage itself with a cutter to the part. So you will free your hands and will only move the carriage along the workpiece.
Dude !! Haha . My girlfriend says the same thing . That is a possibility . But I ended up not using the advancement screw at all , once I got used to the feel of it .
Wow, I’m super impressed. That took a lot of work. I watched it twice and don’t understand how the carriage slid forward and backwards. I would like to see a video on how you built the carriage and especially the slide mechanism. I’m glad I found your channel. I’m at Woodturner RUclipsr also and really appreciated this video. I’m a new sub now.
Hi, watched it the third time and caught the few seconds of the front back mechanism. Good job.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Was very interested in watching this but the music is louder than your voice is.. can't watch it. Sad.
Music too loud to enjoy the video!
Can we get a build vid of the duplicator?
I will make one
I know this was about the duplicator, but THE PAINT TUBE!!!!!
Thank You
that annoying music sure does suck
Thank you . I am never really sure about how to go about with the music and stuff . Still learning . Thank you for your input , I really do appreciate it .
Poplar for exterior work?!? Will rot instantly lol
Who said they're not going inside?
Nice jig, to bad you addet that anoying loud music.
Music is too loud and drowns out your voiceover. Let rid of the music, please.
Thank you for your input . I really do appreciate it . I am still learning and struggle a bit with music and voice over . All input is valuable . Thanks again .
Rough if interesting " machine " but Maaaaaaate! what is with the music, if you are going to use music at least have it at the same volume as you speak, I gave you a dislike as I don't want my hearing assaulted again.
