Fun trip and nice walk about too. Cheers to that. Nice sunset. Those woods got dark quick. Glad you made it back. Awesome deer sighting. Well done. Have a nice trip!
Thanks so much - glad you enjoyed our first trip out in the van We had just so much fun - we learned a lot and still have a lot to learn!!! Hope you're having a great weekend
Hi Dave & Sue, a lovely little campsite, those are the ones we enjoy going to, plenty of nature to see and nice and quiet, looking forward to watching part 2 of your trip 😀 David & Shell
Cheers Andy - that's really kind of you mate Yes it was fantastic there - we were so lucky with this being our first trip out. It's near Bradgate Park - by sheer fluke the Red and Fallow Deer were all easy to spot as the rutting season was starting. So managed to get some good photos of them We learned a lot and still have a load more to learn and resolve But we had just a brilliant time!!! Hope you're having a good weekend mate
Oh it so was Bill. We loved every minute. Even the scrabbling about in the mud underneath when we ran out of water. 😃😃. I think we’re going to have a lot of fun with Florrie. Hope you guys are well. 👍👍👍
Great to see your first motor home trip and you unpacking everything and getting settled! You went in a very scenic area - hope you had a nice time! Thanks for sharing
Cheers, yes we were very lucky. the wildlife was fantastic around there. And very close to Bradgate Park where the deer rut was just starting We were really lucky to find that site for our first time out Hope you're having a great weekend 👍👍
Hi Dave and Sue. Looked a great little spot for your maiden voyage! Pub looked decent (used to have Everard's Tiger years ago whenever I was working around there 😁) and a lovely walk to and from it👍 All the best and take care👍☺
Cheers Des. We learned a lot and have a lot to learn. But really enjoyed it. I think we will always go for the small sites - this one was great. They had Tiger on as well as the Green Hop - dont think I’ve had Everard before. Delicious!! Have a good week mate
So pleased you found such a wonderful camp site for your first excursion, it looks a wonderful walk from the site to the village, with a great pint to finish, All the best, Ivor.
Fun first trip in your new motorhome! How exciting! Looks like you have all the comforts of home. Fun walk to the Pub- and back in the dark.. lol. That’s the best way to go camping … eating dinner out, no dishes! Looks like you go to see some amazing animals- I’ll have o tune in for the next video… 😄 Have a great weekend Dave and Sue! 👍👍☀☀- Jen
It was just brillant Jen - we learned a lot, the site was great, in fact I reckon we might struggle to find better. So for a first trip, we absolutely loved it We will try and cook in most of the time, but when there's a cosy pub within hiking distance....... 😃 Wildlife was amazing, was very lucky to get some good shots Thanks again, and hope you're having a good weekend 👍👍
Congrats on the first trip! The trees and greenspace look very nice! The old mill was very neat to see in the brush. It was fun hearing you two chitchatting as you walked.
Thanks Donna - we had such a good time. We were very lucky with the weather but it's a beautiful area that we've never discovered before. That's what we are trying to do - to get to places more out of the way - and to just enjoy the countryside in the UK and also in Europe too. The wildlife there was beautiful too Hope you're having a good weekend Donna 👍👍
Indeed - survived until the next day - when they had moved across the path to an ambush position!! 😨 Not my favourite creatures, cows! 😃😃 Thanks for watching Anne - hope you're having a good weekend 👍👍
Hi Dave and Sue, Well you did amazingly well on your first journey out in Florrie. You did brilliant in packing up the van and all those lanes. Well Done. Nice park up at the campsite. The walk across the fields to the pub was a good end to the day. The walk back with the cows in the field was a little nail biting (I'm frightened of them ha ha ) nice ending to the video too. Take care x Julie and Tony x
Thanks guys - that's kind of you Yes, the Cow field was worse the next day, we had to walk right through the middle of them, but Sue lived on a farm and dragged me through 🤣🤣 Great campsite - highly recommended - so peaceful and tranquil Hope you two are having a good weekend 👍👍
Nice set up Dave and Sue. I would be nervous backing the right up too for the first time. Nice private spot and the price seems fair with shore power. You two had a nice hike to town. Good memories to be made...Have a great weekend.
Cheers Duane - yes it was a lot of fun, we learned a lot and have alot more to learn But we loved the site - so tranquil - and the wildlife was just amazing!! Hope you're having a good weekend mate
Dave and Sue, I like your little van icon on the map. So cute. Do a lot of your caravan parks have a gate you have to open yourself? What a sharp looking van. Glad you figured out the hot water. Nice walk into town. Long day, but you can relax now. You better get a step in it Dave, Sue is leaving you behind. Nice wildlife. Can’t wait to see them in your next video.
Hi Bill and DeAnna, We had an amazing first trip - loved every second - thank you guys for your travel inspiration 🙏🙏🙏 We learned a lot, we have a lot to learn 😃 UK sites come in all shapes and sizes DeAnna - there are the big club sites, run by one of the two main Clubs in the UK. These are normally large, up to 150 pitches, with all facilities. There are also "certified sites", so only club members can go there - these have a maximum of 5 pitches, like this one we stayed on. They can be very quirky, these are the ones that attracted to this van life us really. As well as "off grid" park ups, but these can sometimes be problematic. Finally there are "independant site", not affiliated to either of the clubs which can small up to very large. We will hopefully get to a lot of all these different UK sites over the next few years. Then there is Europe which has an even wider variation of sites. Ha yes, Sue wanted to get back before it got too dark, she was leaving me behind waffling 😃 I caught right up when we had to go through the cow field though!!!
Lovely park and great hike. That's one of the things I always look for is a place that I can hike to while out camping. Now that the inaugural run is out of the way, you're officially past the newbie stage! lol Enjoy! Bruce and Otis
What a wonderful place for your first excursion with Florrie. The woods are alive with the sound of music! Fantastic first trip Dave and Sue. Can't wait to see the rest of your trip. Thank you for letting us tag along.
Ha. Yep I avoid cows every time if I can Cara. We much prefer the quiet small sites and we are going to be doing a lot of them I think. We had a brilliant few days.
Nice trip Dave & Sue. You were more than prepared, just don’t run out water💧🌧️😀 looked like a fun trip & it’s always so much fun to explore new areas! The van looks awesome!
It was brilliant mate, but the water guage didn't work - said we were a quarter full when it was empty. Guess who took the wrong connection for getting water in🤦♂️🤦♂️ Ended up with two 1.5 litre bottles going backwards and forward to a tap 50 yards away 🤣🤣 Must have walked miles!!! 😃
We enjoyed coming along for the maiden voyage, Dave and Sue. Like you mention it's an absolutely beautiful place you were staying! Loved the stroll to the pub and seeing the deer. Thanks for bringing us along and we're looking forward to next week. The white heart (I believe you called it) is stunning!
Thanks so much Dave and Kathy Yes, we were so lucky to get this site and that pitch by the woods. It was so beautiful The wildlife was amazing around there. We learned a lot and still have a lot to learn!!! Thanks for your kind comments as always guys and hope you're having a good weekend 👍👍👍
Thanks so much Lindsay - it was a really beautiful place. And we got perfect weather so were very lucky Absolutely loved it. Off today to sort a couple of issues, but overall, wonderful 😍
Dave what a stunning first camp 😍 Loved the pitch right next to the woods. And well done on getting straight into a walk. I’d have chilled for a day 😁 Love that abandoned mill and that stunning sky on your way home. 👌❤️
It was sush a lot of fun Phil We learned a lot and have a lot to learn. But loved every minute - even scrabbling about in the mud underneath the van had some positives - I learned I didn't have to do that again if I had bought the correct equipment!! 🤣🤣 Charnwood Forest is beautiful!!
Thanks as always Dave. I can't get used to left-hand traffic, especially in time-lapse mode.🙂 Once again, congratulations on getting a motorhome, it's a very interesting experience. I look forward to the continuation.
Ha thanks Serge. We had a lot of fun although a few small issues. Driving that is so much different than a car. It did take me a while to get used to it I must admit!!
Florrie is already looking like a proper home from home guys, loved this!🥰. This site was right up our street too, so quiet and peaceful, and what gorgeous surroundings, so green and tranquil. As you said, must be teaming with wildlife 🦌🦉🪶🦢🦆😊. You lucked out for your first site. All good trips away start with a visit to the local pub! Cheers to your new adventure mobile Dave and Sue 😊🍻🥂. Lots more memories to be made with Florrie we hope Have a great week guys Take care Shell and Pete😊👊👍
Thanks so much Shell and Pete. - we really did strike lucky with that little site. It was brilliant. So peaceful with wonderful wildlife. We filmed a bit of the Deer rut too which was fantastic to watch. All in all loved our first trip out. Off again at the weekend to Norfolk. Forecast looks grim but who cares 😃😃 Thanks for being so kind as always guys 🙏🙏🙏
Love the motorhome guys and that campsite is beautiful and quiet in the woods. I'm with you Sue on the dogs though, I get so scared walking in isolated places where there are dogs and I don't like walking through cow fields either 😳The pub looked nice and the walk back with the sky looked beautiful. The woods were dark ! That was great, you are going to have so much fun in Florrie and that white deer was gorgeous :) ~ Anna 👍
Well when I saw the Cow Field I was going to go a different way. 😃😃 But Sue wasn't and it was fine. The next day we had to walk right through them which was much worse!! 😨 I think the dogs were in a big garden so that was fine too. Couldn't believe the deer Anna, I've been searching for one around here for years!! Thanks for all your kind comments and your support 🙏🙏🙏
Wow what a beautiful place to stay. So glad you finally got Florrie. Look forward to following your adventures and maybe meet you on the road Steve & Anna ❤
It was brilliant Anna. We loved every minute. And lucky with that site and the amazing weather. We’re going to love this life. 🎉🎉 See you soon Dave and Sue.
Awesome stuff day. Very cool giving Florrie our first outing. She sure looks fabulous, Loved the split screen editing and the time lapses. Sounds like you dropped on one with the camp site. A lovely hermit friendly walk to the pub. A great place to relax after a long day and even managed to get back before the very last of the light. Looking forward to the next adventure 👍
We loved it there Paul. Edu quiet and tranquil. Hardly saw anyone else and the wildlife around there was brilliant. May be hard pressed to find a better site!! Peaked too early mate 😃
Oh, this is fantastic. We never camp with camper and we are a little bit jealous...only little bit. 😄You found a great place not just for camping but also for a wonderful walk. We also get a little lost on every hike.😄😄Refreshment after all is always welcome. Nice adventure and see you soon. Take care. Sretana and Zac. 🤗🤗❤❤
Thanks you two. We had an amazing trip. Loved every second. Lucky to choose such a beautiful and tranquil site for our first overnight stop The walks and nature around there were fantastic. And a great little pub too 😃😃😃 Hope you’re having a good week you guys.
😃 Yay... that's your first trip sorted. Looked like a beautiful little CL, there are so many nice ones all over the country. A yomp to the pub is always a good idea ! It's the getting back that's the problem 😂 Love the walk through to the village. Sounds like you have found your happy place. Good luck and safe travels. 💙 Trev n Sue
Thanks - yes the walk back without the head torch was “interesting” especially through the cow field 😃😃 We loved that place - so peaceful and quiet there in the woods and so warm for the time of year. Completely hooked on this life!! Just about to leave for home after a wonderful few days in North Norfolk. Sorted a lot of our minor firsts and planning the next trip already 😃😃
This is so brilliant! I can’t believe you navigated those small country lanes so easily and the first cuppa must have tasted amazing (if yours wasn’t cold!) The walk to the pub looked stunning! Such a relaxing way to live! Can’t wait to see the next instalment especially that beautiful white dear 😍😍
Thanks Sah - it was just wonderful apart from taking the wrong water attachment and then running out completely 😃😃 But we've learned a lot already and already looking forwrd to trip number two 👍
This was fun to watch! Thanks, Dave and Sue! We'd be a bit nervous on our first trip out, too. It looked like a success! We're retiring in 3 short years and can't wait to live the nomadic lifestyle. We'll most likely get a truck camper. That sunset at the end was glorious! Have a great day! 🥰
Thanks so much. Gosh yes we were very nervous. We had no idea what we were doing. 😃😃. It was a fantastic first campsite though We’ve learned so much in the last five months, visited some cool places and had a lot of fun. Hope all your plans come to fruition. We had a few bumps along the way but so glad we’ve done it now. We’re off to Scotland for the Spring, Europe for the Autumn and then Spain for Winter. Cant wait. Hope you guys are well and that you’re having a good week. 👍👍👍
Congratulations on your first road trip and camping experience ! You found a great camping spot, so peaceful and pretty. The little village is charmingly picturesque 🤩 There is always issues, I’ve never taken a road trip that something unexpected didn’t pop up ! But it’s all part of the experience and you’ll learn a lot with each issue. Looking forward to more of your adventures. happy travels!🤩🤩👍😃
Thanks so much Dave The campsite was really perfect - we may have peaked a bit early with that one 😃 We've definitely learned a lot, we prepared well but as you say there will always be something Already looking forward to a trip to the coast in two weeks 👍👍
To be honest, I would be a bundle of nerves driving it for the first time, especially as I hate driving anyway lol. A nice site to go to for the first run, so quiet and looked in the middle of nowhere, which I would have enjoyed. Looked a nice albeit long walk into the pub (despite the cow field) and at £22 a night for an all electric hook up sounded a bargain to me. The village looked real quaint and that pint/wine looked well deserved but I think a touch/head torch would have been a good friend on the way back to the van. Cannot be an outdoor evening tipple, especially when your bed is only a couple of feet away! Cheers Alan
It was a brilliant first time out Alan. Lovely peaceful site and close to some amazing scenery and wildlife. Didn’t like the cows though! 😃 Good tip on the head torch. I didn’t take it - but just put it into the pack for this weekends trip. 👍👍👍
Great video but please don’t fall into the trap of too much music and time showing us your drive, which we have to watch on double speed to get past. Love to hear you talking and discovering what to do, Thankyou so much for sharing
Thanks 🙏🙏🙏 I must admit that I wasn't going to show any of the drive, just the arrival - but as it was the first ever campsite, I left it in. It does get a bit boring but glad you enjoyed the rest of it Have a good rest of the weekend 👍👍
Fantastic vlog of your maiden journey in Florrie. Places like that I could happily get lost in for days on end, lol. Some wonderful sights and Linford looks an idyllic place to visit or even live. Will catch up with the rest of your videos today, been a bit hectic lately but looking forward to watching part 2.
Ah cheers Jay. Hope you’re doing ok mate. Yes it was a brilliant first stop. We loved it there. Very peaceful and tranquil! And the wildlife was brilliant!! Very close to a ancient deer park - so many Red Deer and Fallow Deer around and just about to start the Rut too. Loved it there.
Happy Weekend and congratulations on doing your first trip in your new motorhome! I loved the visuals at the start showing how you rigged the home for the journey and later on in the movie there is a lot of enthusiasm from you as you explore and live a mobile life! I think this will give you a lot of freedom in the times ahead and the chance to see a lot when you have the time for a trip! How are your plans for cooking in the van? Will you depend on pubs, or will you gradually improve your culinary skills as you get more experience with this way of life? So looking forward to the excitement of the nest episode; be it the case of the missing water or the mysterious weighting of the van:) All the best, Ant
Thanks so much Ant - we had such a brilliant time. looking forward to our next trip to the Coast in a week. We've planned on cooking most of the time, with a good ol pub meal or two thrown in. We have a few issues to resolve, running out of water wasn't great, but fairly easily resolved. We just know that we are going to love it, a lot of hiking, bird and animal watching, and just being out will be just the best!! Thanks again mate
👍 #41 Hi Dave and Sue, I can't believe how fast you were at loading the gear into the cupboards etc lol ( ͡ ͜ʖ ͡°) I must say, the motorhome looks fabulous! 5 pitches on a sight is great, nice and quiet and out near the woods. Lindford looks like an amazing and beautiful place to live, wow. I see Sue was happy to get you to the pub, not that it took much persuading lol. A great watch guys and thank you as always. 👍◕‿◕
Thanks Jane. I think we were really very lucky to pick this site as our first!! Hope it hasn’t peaked already. It was a special little place - loved every minute and very close to Bradgate Park. Ha yes the pub was definitely required after our nervous first day 😃
Hello, I have watched all your RUclips videos, and your video quality is good but there is some problem with your RUclips channel. There is no eye-catching youtube thumbnail design that is not professional, you have more videos, but very few subscribers, video seo score is 20 out of 100, you need to change it to grow your youtube channel. When you optimize your channel, it will go viral, get more views and subscribers and it will get organic views.
nice video my friend
good sharing❤
Thank you very much! That's kind of you 🙏🙏🙏

Isn't it amazing how much stuff you can get in to a camper???? Nice outing guys, you look like pros already!!!! Looks like it was worth the wait!!

Wow what a beautiful place to stay. So glad you finally got Florrie. Look forward to following your adventures and maybe meet you on the road
Steve & Anna ❤
It was brilliant Anna. We loved every minute. And lucky with that site and the amazing weather.
We’re going to love this life. 🎉🎉
See you soon
Dave and Sue.
What a journey! The roads look a wee bit narrow haha great job navigating them
Thanks Ryan. Loved it - absolutely hooked now! 😃
Lucky to choose such a beautiful and tranquil site for our first overnight stop
The walks and nature around there were fantastic.
And a great little pub too 😃😃😃
Hope you’re having a good week you guys.
😃 Yay... that's your first trip sorted.
Thanks - yes the walk back without the head torch was “interesting” especially through the cow field 😃😃
We loved that place - so peaceful and quiet there in the woods and so warm for the time of year.
Completely hooked on this life!!
Just about to leave for home after a wonderful few days in North Norfolk.
Sorted a lot of our minor firsts and planning the next trip already 😃😃
Seems like you and Florrie found a great CL 😁 Well done on the first trip of many! Keep those wheels 🛞 rolling & enjoy! Em 💜
Thanks Em. Such a lovely place in the middle of nowhere it seemed. Loved it there.
Hope you guys are doing well 👍👍
Have a great weekend
Thanks for sharing my dear friend ❤
Thanks for watching. You’re very kind 🙏🙏🙏
Thanks Sah - it was just wonderful apart from taking the wrong water attachment and then running out completely 😃😃
But we've learned a lot already and already looking forwrd to trip number two 👍
This was fun to watch!
😃😃. It was a fantastic first campsite though
We’ve learned so much in the last five months, visited some cool places and had a lot of fun.
Hope all your plans come to fruition. We had a few bumps along the way but so glad we’ve done it now.
We’re off to Scotland for the Spring, Europe for the Autumn and then Spain for Winter.
Cant wait.
Hope you guys are well and that you’re having a good week. 👍👍👍
I enjoyed this. I have a feeling you two are going to really enjoy Florrie 😊
Thanks Kat. I think we are. A few hiccups but all in all a wonderful first trip out!!
A great start guys, you just look like you’re really gonna enjoy this.
Oh it was a lot of fun Keith. Can see us visiting a lot of wildlife and nature reserves in the future. Norfolk coast nest week here we come 😃😃
Congratulations on your first road trip and camping experience !
Thanks so much Dave
The campsite was really perfect - we may have peaked a bit early with that one 😃
We've definitely learned a lot, we prepared well but as you say there will always be something
Already looking forward to a trip to the coast in two weeks 👍👍
Quite a nice walk there too 👍🏻
It was a good walk. We’ve never been to that area even though it’s only an hour from home!! We will definitely go back!!
Good tip on the head torch.
Thanks 🙏🙏🙏
I must admit that I wasn't going to show any of the drive, just the arrival - but as it was the first ever campsite, I left it in.
It does get a bit boring but glad you enjoyed the rest of it
Have a good rest of the weekend 👍👍
Thats awesome. So exciting 😃👍🏻.
New sub here 😉
Hi Crystal. Thanks so much.
Our first trip. Reckon we will be doing some coddiwompling before too long. 😃. Just need to find our feet first.
You'll never regret the decision to buy Florrie, I promise. Warm wishes from Millionaire Paul 👋 🎉
Thanks mate. I don’t think we will. Was very nervous about driving a big van but it drives like a dream!! So no worries there at all.
Florrie looking good inside & oot. 👌 You'll have tae take her up to God's country. 😉🏴🥃
Would love to in the Spring Kev. - currently a discussion of Scotland vs Brittany 😃😃. Hopefully sense will prevail. 😃
Ha yes the pub was definitely required after our nervous first day 😃
@@NBNatureTrailvan Things can only get better and The only way is up... dammit I'll have those 2 songs in my mind now ( ͡ ͜ʖ ͡°)

Thanks so much for your advice. 🙏🙏🙏
