I really don't want to put up with it on youtube either. Please don't respond to me again. In the future you should ask yourself "am I adding anything of substance by correcting a simple spelling mistake".

Love the vintage studios! This one is an Icon.
Most people have no idea where Muscle Shoals is. But it’s one of the best known studios in the world! Particularly the south! Real music made here by real people in extremely confined areas!! On very rare equipment!! If you listen to an old 8 track tape, it was recorded on similar equipment! But made a sound that echoes today on iPhones, in cars and in Arenas.

@@jbenziggy Two points of trivia: In the photo with Lynyrd Skynyrd is Cassies Gains, who was also tragically killed in the plane crash. And the photo of Duane Allman with the gold-top Gibson Les Paul guitar, that photo was used to forensically identify that guitar after it was located in a pawn shop in Florida. It's now on display at the "Big House" museum in Macon, GA. The inlays on the fretboard are like finger prints - no two are alike. This photo helped positively identify that gold top. Very cool.

My friend Noel owned it when I was there. I stayed there in 2003 for a bit. When he had it, the downstairs was an apartment. I spent many nights on that couch listening to music all night. That place just had a cool buzz about it. Met some cool musicians in the few years I'd go down there. Hung out with Pete Carr at his house, Jimmy Johnson had a band he brought in to record, Bobby Whitlock, probably a few more I forgot..lol..it was over 20 years ago. If the buildings are still out back, I helped paint them. They were the same color as the studio building.

Awesome installment. The keys of that piano....the notes and tones, burnt in our memories. The couch and chair......the bar......the bathroom......the magic captured inside those walls is HISTORY.
BTW, We had tix to the 77 Skynard show in DETROIT.....tragedy struck the week of the show. We traded in the tix for the Alice Cooper Halloween show at Cobo Hall, where KISS ALIVE was recorded.
    Thanks and cheers

Good stuff. I live a couple of hours west of the Shoals. Unbelievable the music that came out of there as well as FAME. Btw, the Stones were there in December of ‘69. They flew straight from there to Altamont. 😳

Thank you for doing this video. My father grew up in Tuscumbia and went to High school in Sheffield. Growing up we would go down there every summer.
We went past this studio dozens of times in the 70’s, had we only of known what music was being recorded there. I need to go back there and take this tour.

I listened to “Wild Horses “ on the car radio yesterday. I knew about the Swampers but didn’t know the Stones recorded there. The perfect place to make music.
