Tying the Three-Dollar Dip

As part of our Bugs n' Brews fly tying series, this video is intended to be supplemental content to our latest video on fly fishing in and around the Yellowstone area. The three-dollar dip is a great fly for a dry-dropper rig and works like a charm in fooling selective trout. I like fishing this fly in size 18 and 20.

I use to counter-wrap my wire but it was a pain to get it to secure with counter wrapping the thread around it. Also a fragle body material is protected better by a normal wrapped wire since the wire protects the top side on its first half wrap.
