Hey. Long time FNS9C carrier here. Still my main. It’s about 12k rounds without an issue. Here is something cool. The 15 round 509C mag fits and functions perfectly in it. So then you can have 12, 15, or 17 round mags for carry options. So mags are available still! The 15 round mag in it makes it is slightly less tall than the Glock 19 also. It’s pretty great! New FN pistols were going for $360ish prior to 2020, except for the FNXs line ($860-1000ish). I bought a new FN 4in barrel in .40 for $360 in 2017 it shot well and felt good in the hand, but the felt recoil was disappointing as compared to the XD, XDM, and S&W 2.0 in .40s...it became a safe queen until I sold it at a gun show for $500 in 2021 during the ammo crunch (remember the .380 ammo going for $70 a box, ha). The FNX in .45 (15+1) shoots like a 9mm which I use as a home defense and the S&W 9mm 2.0 (5in barrel) stays on my pillow. It would be interesting to know how the felt recoil is with the FN 9mm compact compared to the Shield Plus. FYI for those unaware, you can buy 15 rd S&W mag for the Plus.
I got the portable laser target from Amazon that you recommended and I'm enjoying using it. I've been using it with my G3C so I do not have to rack the slide between shots. Thanks for the info.
I saw1 FNS9C in Burnt Bronze... Next week at Pay Day... NO MASS!!! I have an FNS9 4.0 with a 40 slide... GREAT GUN! I paid $109 for the 40 Slide, Bubble case, 1 mag and 2 straps NIB!

Horrible carry gun. *Reset is long *Slide is hard to rack *Trigger gaurd hurts the knuckle worse than a glock *Mag baseplate is too long,making it unable to grip properly Reliability is questionable. I got rid of it as soon as i possibly could
I’d take my HK p2000sk 9mm any day, it’s got 12+1 flush with new mags from vp9sk or P30sk. HK USP compact 9mm is my favorite even only being 13+1 and size of G19. But shoot them so much better than any other gun. But for micro 9 I like the CSX, shame the internet killed it bc it would be a beast as performance center model. Like your new FN always thought about getting one, seems like great gun.
