    #DidYouKnow: It’s impossible to sneeze with your eyes open. Your eyes and nose are connected by cranial nerves, so the stimulation from a sneeze travels up one nerve to the brain, then down another nerve to the eyelids, typically prompting a blink.

      Sometimes the best teacher are people who aren’t aiming to be seen as the end all of info, and I think a lot of teachers in schools do that. It’s like they get so stuck in their ways they can’t see how it could be done better.

    As someone whose worked in the eye world for years, I can say it is so important to be aware of how your eye works and checking the health of it. I would say people ignore eye problems more than anything else, and it really needs to be treated the same as any other no art of the body.
    After having a patient who thought he had cataracts he’d ignored found out he had a terminal tumor behind his eye,which took his life less than a month later, I’ve become ultra vigilant about eye health.

    Very concise explanation (this video and the other on myopia)! It would have been great if you had created a video that has ALL the eye defects so that you can show the differences between them in one place. You can animate to show differences in eye shapes (shortened, elongated, etc), cornea and lens defects and how they affect the vision. For each defect, describe effects on near objects and far objects.

    Hi ! When the eyeball is too short than it should be in the hyperopia then how can the distance between the lens and the retina be smaller than it should be ?? It should be greater because a small eyeball takes less space .

    • @Doctr_dope
      @Doctr_dope 4 года назад +1

      Axial shortening i.e small eye ball reduces the distance between lens and retina, distance objects are focused far like in normal eye so accommodation is needed for distant vision in hypermetropics. This is not discussed in the video.
