I'm from the great Commonwealth of Kentucky where our motto is United We Stand, Divided We Fall! I wish people would get back to that mindset! Love the recreation of this song!
I am also in Kentucky. I have met Daryl and he is a very humble man. I stumbled on to this song less than a month ago and it got my attention. I am retired military and this song is so on point with what is going on right now. Thank you DW!
Another fellow Kentuckian here. Been here my whole 33 years. I wish our federal government and all citizens would adopt our state motto, because it's so true. A house divided against itself cannot stand.
I HATE the state of our country today. Too many people HAVE forgotten, and these generations that came after us millennials were either too young, or not even born yet, to see and realize just how united we used to be. They've never lived through ANYTHING even REMOTELY close to 9/11, so we really can't be surprised. I just think it's such a shame that this polarized, divided, outrage- and hate-filled version of America is the only one they've ever seen or known. It's truly heartbreaking. I just pray we're not broken beyond repair.
Thank you for your service to OUR country.
I’m Canadian and this song speaks truth for us up here as well. After the trucker convoy people started opening their eyes up here as well. We are all in this fight against the government and media.

l might not agree with your politics, religion, sexual orientation but l’ll die to protect your right to express it🇦🇺🇺🇸
My stepdad was a marine so I grew up with that stuff and like I can understand people's different point of views and I'll still be friends with them as long as they don't make me feel like I'm not good enough cuz my point of view
His songs are great & have deep meaning! It's sad we have forgotten It's close it 9/11 anniversary again & the country forget we came together than, I was a 911 dispatcher that day. We need to stand together again! Ty
Truth! United We the People Stand, and that scares the hell out of few who hold the power. Wake up people. Our enemy isn't the folks next door, down the street, in the next county, or even in a state on the other side of the country. We are all the same, and we don't always have to agree. It's OK to have different points view! It's not about who is right, or who is wrong, it's about being a good neighbor, a mentor, an American! God Bless y'all
Yes united we stand with God as long as God is with us and we believe that God is with us will always win
We all have so much more in common than realized. United we stand, beyond time to get back to that. So many in my family served & are serving now. Still hurts that I lost my cousin David a couple years ago, homeside, after all his years of service in the rangers & special services later, so much he couldn't talk about. It's time to get the government straightened out & get back to our roots
I don't understand that either, it doesn't make ANY SENSE how if there's a difference of opinion it's an automatic I hate you. Not from myself or my friends and family, but I see and hear it everywhere. Thank you for your service!! God bless you and your family!!
Good morning sunshine! You speak the truth 100%! Thank you for your service God bless you! Much love from Henderson Ga USA
I completely forgot he did this second song kinda like a follow-up almost 14 years after the original. I like that you choose to do this one. The first one is more directed at individuals asking if we have forgotten the events that took place on 9/11/2001. I think 13+ years later he realizes the answer to that question is by and large yes. As a country we have forgotten. And now as a country we are starting to forgetting who we are as a nation. We are forgetting what made this country so great. We are forgetting the feeling of coming together as a nation and embracing our neighbors in times of tragedy without required to their political beliefs. We have forgotten how to just be Americans and instead we are divided into political ideations.
I was only 6 on 9/11 but I have very clear memories of that day and the weeks that followed. I remember strangers gathering to comfort each other and to pray together. I remember people questioning what they could do and feeling at a loss. Sadly, I think if an attack like 9/11 happened today, instead of coming together we would divide and blame the other side for the attack.
This song is so needed in today's world. Thank you for covering it!
shamefully ,i have to say this is my very first time ever hearing this song
@@peacemaker-du4hz I wouldn't say not having heard it is shameful. There is so much music out there it would be impossible for anyone to have heard all of it!
The important part is you have heard it now. I believe it is an important song to hear because it forces people to stop and think and remember, and in doing so, pay respect to those people we lost on that day and in the years that have followed.
thank you for the response and i totally believe that.we need to unite again or we will fall again just like we have in the past @@MrNiccholas
I’m with you. I’m slowly starting to see a shift and people opening their eyes. Finally had enough.
Thank you so much for your service! I come from a Navy family including my son who came out as a disabled veteran and I am a retired US military civilian contracted nurse. It breaks my heart that we can't just have conversations with people and have it be civil. We don't have to agree on everything that's the privilege of being an American and people seem to have lost that somewhere in translation. I miss the days of BBQ sauce with your neighbors on Fourth of July and Labor Day and veterans Day and I miss the days of Sunday supper with your family Saturday barbecues with your grandparents that was a good period of time in this country. I pray that we can someday get back to those kind of values. For all of you out there who have given your life in one way or another to this nation and to our freedoms I cannot thank you enough.
Thanks for your review, you even got it right with your guidelines. Be respectful, listens to others, and come together. The song is so meaningful. I wish everyone would play it and listen to it and then play it again.
Thank you for your service
Hadn't heard this version, but it's so true. We have differences of opinion but at the end of the day we are all Americans!! What are we doing?! The world looks to us for leadership too, let's not forget that.
I'm from Pennsylvania and come from a military family that's served in each branch except the Air Force. I believe we truly have forgotten and it breaks my heart
Dial Worley also had a song called have you forgot it was right after September 11th I think it was like 2002 that he came out with it
The word respect is that word . I would love to see us literally walk towards each other towards a middle ground and sit down face to face to talk .....
No phone , no text , no social media

I remember when we could actually talk about are differences and maybe change minds. Now its if we dint agree we're wrong I've lost friends because of this
The ENTIRE world has lost its mind.
This is a cool version I have never heard, but he has a totally different version, talking about 9/11 & the war to get Binladin. The original version is 'Have YOU forgotten', instead of 'we'. It has different lyrics with the same tune & is even more powerful. You need to hear the other one as well. Especially being a veteran. Also thank you for your service. You are correct. It's hard these days. I am certainly not thrilled with Biden but detest Trump & the hate he has incited in our country & our people. I don't know if we will ever recover.
This song is essentially a sequel to have you forgotten, even came out about 20 years after the original. The original is amazing
Never heard this one before. I’ve only heard the original which I like better
If we all agreed on everything and we all thought the same, this would be a boring world indeed
🔥🔥
I think Daryl Worley was talking more about all we have been through in our lifetimes. It feels like part 2 of his song "Have you forgotten" about 9/11 terrorist attacks.
Seems more to align with what our country has been through in its history to me. Feels more applicable.
@TormentedVet Thats a fair assessment. I can see it both ways. Perhaps I am thinking the way I am, because of what his first song meant to me back then. Either way, I think America needs to hear it! Thanks for sharing!
All of us were taught how to deal with the strong emotions of anxiety, fear, grief, depression and anger incorrectly. See the book titled: " Chose Wonder Over Worry" by Amber Rae. Also people, especially young trying to practice Perfectionism. Also people who have disabilities, including weight issues don't know how to deal with being teased about their disability in public. In schools, disabled students have an IEP, this relates to academic goals. See book:
" Youth Violence, How Do We Protect Our Children" by Joseph Kolb. Thus there are people who overreact.
Absolutely we have forgotten. We no longer know how to have respect, we no longer know how to cope with the big feelings we get when we disagree. There is no respectful debate, no discourse..bit is agree with me or else on every tiny thing.. I don't have to agree with my neighbor to love my neighbor, i just have to be decent. I also don't have to take offense, even when it's intended.n
IMO I don’t think we are as divided as the media want us to believe.
I love heavy metal. I like some country for the message of the lyrics. I have my best friends that also love heavy metal but they are into rap. I dislike it. It’s just button pressing. But they hate country because it’s too much about god or stereo types and I can see what they mean. But we agree to disagree on that specifically. We still grill some meat, have a drink. Hang out for birthdays and holidays . And want to enjoy our lives overall.
Daryl came out with this song after 9/11.
This song came out last year. The one most are more familiar with. "Have You Forgotten" came out in 2003
Have you checked out..the birth of the song star spangled banner..?
Is this a different version? The one I know is ". I hear people saying, we don't need this war. But I say there's somethings worth fighting for. What about our freedom and this piece of ground ect.) Iv never heard this version
Yes sir. Same music different lyrics
We need the unity so bad right now. My biggest fear is another 9/11 situation..I was 28 and teaching the day it happened it was so terrifying...and I hope I never see it again in my life
I agree. I don’t think we are ready for something like that as a country right now. Sad.
It’s hard to stay positive about a country that wants and is taking away so many of the rights I (as a woman) grew up with because of a religious agenda. I have considered leaving America many times, and am still considering it. Our politicians are bought and paid for by corporations. It feels like everything we try to do by voting just puts us at a greater disadvantage. I don’t know how to keep feeling proud to be American some days.
What right have been taken away?
Where's the rest of the song? What happened to "when those walls or buildings fell down" part
Different song
@TormentedVet_Reactions Same song. Doubt, he would have two songs with the same title. He may have taken this song and added another verse. You should play that version. In fact, this was the first time I ever heard it without that verse.
@@celiagorleski2716 The reason this is the first time you have ever heard it without that verse is because this is in fact a different song. Same music, but different song/lyrics. The song you are thinking about is "Have You Forgotten." This song is title "Have We Forgotten." An entirely different song. Hope this clears things up for you.
@Tormented_Reactions wow. One word difference in title. Same tune. Different words. Different years. Finally got it figured out. He should sue himself for plagiarism. John Fogerty was sued for sounding too much like himself.
@@celiagorleski2716 lol it will be ok. it's a good song just like the other. stay blessed friend
This song uses the same rhythm. As his other song. Have you forgotten
The reason why we can't get along is because our politicians courts schools and a lot of people don't want us to get along which is so sad
I know this song but this is different! The original talked about 9/11
Did Darryl change the lyrics?
Turns out he made a different song with the same music
@@TormentedVet_Reactions Yeah, the other version is called Have you Forgotten, its about remembering 9/11. Its pretty good as well.
this is not the original song of HAVE YOU FORGOTTEN the song had different words about 9-11
Yo Torment, Samson's (The Mullet King) Rapper's Back Bro!!! "Price Hike" plzzz react to it when u get a chance... Still desperately want him to get his recognition🙏🙏🙏
Just uploaded it bro.
I had to go back and listen to the beginning again because it didn’t sound right. This must be an updated version. I’m sad about this. The original was about how we shouldn’t forget about 9/11. But he kinda does by changing the subject. I’m not saying that the lyrics are wrong. But he should have written a song that doesn’t take the focus away from 9/11. He’s contradicting himself. I want to ask him. Have you forgotten??
turns out this is the same music but different lyrics
@@TormentedVet_Reactions yeah. Have you heard the original?
Why! won't they close the Southern Border?
I feel like they are still trying to get more votes before the end of the year.
This is NOT the same version that came out after 9/11.
That is correct.
Gosh❤ …there’s so much ugliness going on…thank you for sharing this song…
This all started under the Trump vs Clinton election. We had issues with Bush and how he handle 9/11.. others had issues with Obama but really it boils down to the hate Trump spread and it has progressed. My opinion take it or leave it. 🤷 agree to disagree.
I'm curious what it is you feel Bush did wrong?
Are you blind bro the nation has never been more divided and its only getting worse its not even optimism its just willful ignorance
