  • New cancer treatment has been approved by the FDA and it is based on harnessing the power of our immune system to help fight cancer.
But how does it work and what could this mean for the future of cancer management?

Cancer is such a sensitive topic for everyone. I too had a family member who was diagnosed with it.
I am definitely an advocate of prevention.
One way of doing this is through limiting bodily inflammation. There are many ways of doing this, one of them being trying our best to
minimise the intake of ultra-processed foods, harnessing the power of our gut microbiome and ensuring we eat the diversity diet to feed different members of this community. The quality and amount of sleep we get is also very important and here, our circadian rhythm and sleep pressure play a huge role. Managing our stress and moving our body regularly are also other things we can address.
Small changes can make a big impact in the long run.

@@RobertaAngheleanu You're welcome. I want to know if you can offer me any recommendations. I have Ciprofloxacin Toxicity 6 months ago and still having side effects. My feet are so very sensitive to walk, and often feel very tired. I know you're a cancer researcher, but I hope you have some experience and recommendation with Fluoroquinolone antibiotic injuries. If not, I understand. It's a complex type of injury the pharma industry turns a blind eye to. Thank you and bless you!

Excellent, concise, eloquent explanation of T cell research, Dr. Angheleanu. As a semi-retired radiation oncologist with a background in pharmacy and nuclear pharmacy, I have watched the evolution of cancer treatments over the past 50 years. Some of the responses in patients who received targeted and/or immunotherapies has been nothing short of miraculous. The sided effect profile is different from conventional chemotherapy so training of medical staff to recognize the onset of side effects is necessary. GJBrownDO 5/24/2024 05:44 Pacific

You didn’t mention the name of the drug!? Am not gona be too hopeful here as someone who works in palliative my only qualm is the reality is there isn’t any “one size fits all” chemotherapy or immunotherapy drug that work to destroy all kind of different types of cancers and their sub differences.

Hi Melanomas are usually what are termed as ‘hot cancers’ in regard to the number of potential targets (tumour associated antigens - TAAs) to which a persons immune system is capable of responding against and the number of immune cells usually contained within a tumour, that are able to attack the TAAs. Hence, removing immune cells from a patient’s melanoma has a good chance of isolating immune cells that had/have the ability to attack the cancer. Selecting for the ‘best’ attackers, expanding them in numbers and then introducing them back into the patient is therefore a good way to ‘reignite the immune fight’ against the melanoma.
