So happy you share your world with us. Pierogi are my favourite and my mother’s were the best ever! My others were her borscht, her homemade sauerkraut and barley soup with beef, and when we came home for lunch from school, the doughy deep fried pierogi. My parents were Ukrainian/Canadian and I miss them with all my 💗 Your channel brings me warmth and happiness. Sending love and hugs to you both ❣

Such a beautiful place.
We saw the same thing in the Prague Old Square Christmas market: it was so crowded the first night on Dec 2nd that trying to get to the square through the tiny medieval lanes became frightening with the tight-packed people shoving each other! Old ladies pushing! But we went back by other routes and it was SO beautiful in the lit-up square with 4" of new snow on everything.

I loved watching this video. The oplatki and the borscht made me think of Christmas Eve when I was a child. Sometimes we had mushroom soup instead. But there were always pierogi which my grandmother and aunt made and usually fried fish. Hope you had a beautiful holiday season!

Love your videos! Just made pierogi's this past Christmas. Although, I need to find a better flavored kraut. It was definitely missing some type of spices and tasted a bit "flat" but very good with the sauteed bacon, onions and mushrooms added to it.
