When we first thought of having a MH we travelled to Oaktree and they were very friendly and it gave us chance to look around with no pressure as we had no clue what we were looking for at the time.👍
I'm not usually into this type of content but ended binge watching lots of your videos. Think your both likeable and very natural on camera and not irritating like so many pick me RUclipsrs. Keep up the good work.
You did right getting it into the workshop for the gas work, I always try and stay away from the gas as have always been unlucky with plumbing type stuff. More of a spark ⚡️ Some nice motorhomes there. Have a great week, all the best, David & Rachel 👍
Great video, Lindsey glad you liked the Bailey 79-2f bought our first motorhome last year a 79-4f and love it - we needed the extra seat belt for our little Westie to travel with us 😂 we love having the large rear bathroom - might have to get the domestic fridge for touring France (1st time) later in the year. Cheers Stuart & Karen
Another great video, always a pleasure to see you guys again, glad you edited out me stuffing Lindsey's very tasty BLT sandwich in my face! 😂Best from all at Oaktree! 👍
The compressor fridge will fit like a glove with the lithium batteries, solar and dcdc you and lynds are running on. It's so nice to just don't have to care about the fridge operating mode. It's just works and always on, no need to think about ferry's or gas stations. Our 150l compressor fridge has operated flawlessly in Croatia Montenegro and albania last couple of weeks in 30-35 degree heat
Fingers crossed but our 3 way fridge in our UK camper is currently doing sterling service at 40 degrees c in Arizona. What we did find was we had an error code on the boiler probably due to being around 3000m altitude as it has recovered as we came down, highest road in Europe 2400m so maybe not tested any higher.
Recently changed my 3 way fridge for a 12V compressor Dometic RCD 10.5 T. Will be interesting to compare notes after you have used it on a trip to a warmer climate. Also interested in what you do with your old fridge as I am still trying to sell mine
Hope the new fridge is good job. We are getting our 3 way replaced with Thetford T2160 compressor fridge. Very similar to yours but 70 mm shorter on the depth so hopefully not as big a job :)
Glad we have a Thetford. Our inside temperture is 5c. Outside its 25-30c plus and the fridge is still not turned full up. Its never let us down. No bad food and ice cream thats hard. I do wonder if that 2 way door had anything to do with it?
We’ve had this problem when ever we have gone above 30 over the last 17 years. We are expecting late 30s in Morocco, and it will be nice to keep the fridge stocked.
@RoamingRadfords Yes I understand. You seem to have such bad luck with fridges. Just one thing do you take a cool bag to the supermarket. It does help and they take little space if its the bag sort. We put it straight in the bag as we pick an item and offload at the till.
Great video! Binge watching you, guys! Love your videos. You are one very lovely couple! About the fridge though. I am having such hard time understanding how to travel with such a small fridge! You are 5 people! I would be grocery shopping every other day. This can be exhausting! The fridge in our motorhome in the US was probably triple the size of yours and it was merely adequate for 2 of us. Now we are planning to buy a motorhome or a van in Europe and I am getting nervous because I know how much smaller the fridges are (( For this only reason I think we will have to buy something much newer rather older because older vans have tinyyyy fridges. How are you guys doing it?
This fridge is so much better than our last one as at least it works when the outside temp is really high. We shop a lot less often this year than any other year.
Great video guys. Will you add fans to this one too? Looks like you’ve got great access to do this. We are adding some to ours this week to further cool the compressor. Not sure you’ll need it as you’ve that vent. Great video and thanks for putting it together.
Thank you. We’ll see how it performs but as you say we have the vent there so it can pull in fresh air. I’ll just whack the fans back on if they’re needed.
It came with the Cadac!! It’s ideal, as you can clip it on and move the plate, and as the plate has heat resistant feet you can put it straight on the table!
You will not beat the compressor fridges. As I have the dometic Crx 50L fridge for the last nearly 6yrs. And it's brilliant. One bit of advice is to make sure to let air circulate around the back of fridge in hot weather. Or it may shut down. But u will not regret the move over to a compressor fridge.
Genuinely interested in seeing how your Starlink modification works as I have been in the telecoms industry for over 35 years and never thought you can get satellites to work like that. Please let us know how it works so I can do the same with my Starlink.
Starlink mobility is s thing, but they currently charge a fortune for the hardware and it’s too expensive for the monthly payments to have the official Starlink Mobility, however we came across this hack that should work. We’ll let you know in due course
@@RoamingRadfords in my Elddis CV 40 our compressor fridge has a night mode but you can still hear it though its a more compact van than yours and I would think your bed is further away having said that I do prefer compressor fridge.
Hi. We really find your videos very informative, but please can Steve speak a bit slower. We recommend you to lots of people who have subscribed and they told us Steve speaks to fast. Lindsay speaks perfectly. You have a nice van. What is its mpg. Plus do u use shell vpower. I do. It keeps engine clean and better mpg. Great videos. Follow u both on all your travels. You have very well mannered children. Best wishes David and Beverley Norfolk
Thanks for the kind words and feedback David, and thank you for recommending us to your friends. We have a 2.2L diesel engine and get around 23mpg and sometimes use shell vpower. Can I ask where you and Beverley are from?
@davesdaze I’ll try to talk slower but it’s going to be tricky as this is how I’ve spoken for 52 years. You could also consider turning subtitles on if you’re struggling to understand me
Tony, you are wrong 🤦🏼♀️. We paid full price, actually I tell a lie. We took the time and shopped around and bought the cheapest on the eBay. Anyone can do that. Shopping around isn’t a special skill.
Nice conversion. I agree, the evapotating refrigerators just dont work properly abroad. The compressor fridge looks great! Nice mum dancing at 3:51 :D
I do love Oaktree such lovely and helpful people. new fridge looks cool :)

Love you Phil x

They really are!
Wise move with the fridge, leave the gas fittings to the professionals, every time x

Crickey those pants are distracting 😂
I’ll tell Steve not to wear them again then!

This has a night mode and I didn’t hear it when I was sleeping in the van last night

Thumb nail is good. I was told taking out the 3way fridge would devalue van
Hi, we don’t think it’s going to devalue the van, and it doesn’t matter really as we are more interested in using it in hot climates.
The boss wants to use the van..... we better take it around the Polish...... 😮
If only! It stank of feet 🤦🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️🤣
These vlogs are now just 20min adverts plugging stuff they get heavily discounted. Detached from reality
