      Thank you Grisel! When I bought the little orange vanda (Ascda. Sagkrit Gold) in May they had lots of them, but maybe now you should call them to make sure they have what you want before you go. 💕💕

      Thank you so much!!! I have had a few orchids for 5-7 years, but I really started collecting orchids 3 years ago, during covid quarantine. 😷🌞💖

    Hi Lana, I have several type Coelogyne in my collections, I love them because their flowers have a very nice scent. I put some of my Coelogyne under fiber canopy but in shady areas and they don't have burnt leaf tips. But one pot I hang it high near the roof of the canopy and it has burnt leaf tips but also has so many new shoots. So it maybe because warmer temperature.
    But it could also because wet root or the media had broken down and it's too wet for the roots. A copper-based bactericide/fungicide like Phyton also should be avoided. This is only my guess, maybe it can help. Love your video very much! I always check to my local nursery if you show some orchids that I don't have hahahaha.

      Thank you so much! Both of your thoughts could be applied to my Coelogyne orchid, it was hanging very close to the top under the canopy and I have it in a plastic basket sitting in a clay pot so it maybe retaining too much water. I just recently moved it to a shadier area, but I was reluctant to repot because it sets them back so much. I will just watch it for a while, and I may need to repot it anyway. 💖

    Lovely blooms and healthy plants. Sorry about the sunburn, the sun is killing me here too.

      Thank you! This heat
      brings a lot of stress to outdoor orchids. I should have let them acclimate longer in the shade! Lesson learned! Stay cool, my friend 😎 💖💖

    What do you do to prevent or treat fungus on vandas? I keep losing leaves from the bottom and have two with droopy bottom leaves. Help!!

    • @orchidnewbee8786
      @orchidnewbee8786  Год назад

      Hello Nilia, I use two fungicides Thiomyl and Dithane . I alternate them so that the fungus will not develop resistance. Some times your vanda orchids may just drop their leaves when they are stressed, too hot, too cold, too dry, too wet. I hope it helps.💖💖

      Thanks for the prompt response. I was hoping I could use something less toxic. I am afraid of the heavy duty chemicals. Any suggestions?
      Nilia

      @user-cu9ki6io5b HI Nilia, I do not have any personal experience with organic remedies. You might try Physan 20, it is a topical and it is advertised as safe for pets and children. The droopy leaves on your vandas may not be cause by a fungus. If there is an orchid nursery or horticulturist near you, take your orchid to them for diagnosis. It could be just stress.
