vario-mobil.com/ ( Here is there website if you live in Europe and you want to buy )
Hey everyone welcome to another episode of Matt's RV Reviews Europe Edition. Today I am SUPER EXCITED we are taking a look at this MONSTER Beast Of a Mercedes Motorhome! This is the Vario Mobil! This Motorhome is so awesome and its HUGE for Europeans! But let me tell you this is the all in one MEGA bus! The best part is that this is also a Toy Hauler that has a garage in the back where you can bring your bikes and cars with you!
The "ladder" in the bathroom is a heated towel rack. Pretty standard in European homes. 🙂
Also where I got to laugh a little :)
Continental tires and Truma was founded in Germany. Dometic was founded by the Swedish company Electrolux. Thule is also a Swedish founded company.
I really really hope American manufacturers take time to evaluate some of the European ingenuity. With the size American companies have to work with, if they learned to streamline and multi-design like their European counterparts, the RVs over here could be revolutionary.
It's almost like USA RVs are about Quantity - and European RVs are more towards Quality
Don’t hope. US “safety regulations” are in place to discourage some people, to import foreign-spec vehicles. Imagine you forking €2M just to have this beauty, dismantled by US Customs! In fact, they won’t even ship unless is up to “code,” as in:
-). Regular rearview mirrors, instead of HD cams/screens,
-). That flat front,
-). Engine is “too efficient” for US standards,
-). Requires a non-socialist shifter,
-). The garage has to fit a Dodge or a Camaro, instead of a commie car like a Mini or an AMG-Black Badge,
Etc. They can sell it to you, but will warn you “THE VEHICLE IS NOT UP TO US CODE.”
You are 100% correct, but, sadly, don't hold your breathe. Any high quality America makes, you will pay an arm and a leg for. No one is interested in making a quality product for a great price.
@@SlipstreamDigital Except US rvs also cost as much as European rvs so there's no excuse for subpar quality
@@roslolian11 shit ive looked into european rvs for the same thing prices tend to be similar their are just more cheap options here compared to expensive ones
It’ll be interesting to see their reviews on US models after they get back from Europe. The US market is no competition to Europe. They build much better RV’s over there. The quality and design is just in a whole different league.
Along with pretty much everything else they do, but a lot of people over here think they’re a bunch of socialists! Well, looks like they’re doing pretty well in the rv business!!
The quality of all cars, RVs, trucks, earth movers, etc etc etc is light years better than American build quality. It’s all about attention to detail. Look at Porsche. The cars are meticulously designed and assembled. A big problem with American RVs is the stayed look of the interiors. Nice for Grandpa and Grandma, but……..
I totally disagree the Newell and Liberty Prevost are lights years ahead of these European Coaches IMO.
@@samuelcain5426 No they’re not. They are good coaches but ALL North American coaches fall short when you get down to how they’re put together. It’s not just a coincidence that many Europeans who attend the Hershey RV show leave saying US RV’s are cheaply built, and Americans who travel to Europe for RV shows come home saying US manufacturers need to step up their game. The European market builds better RV’s and have for YEARS.
@@squeakD Exactly! Americans are so brainwashed that we are the best in the world, a lot of people in this country are so arrogant! Germany’s GDP is twice that of the U.S., and they do it with unions and many more regulations
Than U.S. manufacturer!
Hey Guys! The chrome "ladder" thing is a electric "towel warmer." Found through out the E.U.
Also in high end luxury motorhomes here in the U.S.
"not a furion"... Haha
Miele is probably the most high quality appliance you can buy
You guys ROCK the international scene. Always be you Matt and Andrea, never apologize for being cordial, authentic, and fun!
America has to step it up with the interior designs.
You don’t think they’ve known for years what these European companies put out? They purposely lobby to keep these rv’s out of the U.S. because they know nobody could compete with them! These companies don’t run their countries like the U.S., the government protects the consumers from shoddy workmanship and hold companies to a higher standard!
Das ist der Premium Poopen Platz...
Love the classic look of these RV’s. They look so clean without the multi colored paint. Thank you for taking us on this journey with you.
Still jumped, but no skipping.
Andrea: "Come on, Matt. Stay true to the show." Love it.

"All the carpets" you see are mainly temporary protection for the floors underneath. To save wear and tear. Because it's an RV show.
I think the US RV manufacturers focus on quantity vs quality, it’s all about pumping millions of units out, Quality subsequently went down the drain 👎👎
Ya think!!!
12:48 is a heated towel rack. Not a ladder.
This is a awesome Euro Super C. The digital side view mirrors are nice. The interior is beautiful. I wish more US RV makers would make toy hauler motor homes that could carry a car. Thanks for another great video!
Like the side view camera monitors.
Maybe one day the USA will adapt this feature....I feel this is the way to go for sure.
Even if the USA doesn't I guess one could have both monitors and mirros to get around laws.
Like these types of coaches....
The Dembell Model S XXL Motorhome is my favorite to date.
awesome review matt, that 1846 code on the side means 18 tons of GVWR and 46 means 460 HP engine output. this motorhome is built on a semi chassis
That's not a ladder in the bathroom - it is a heated towel warmer. Very typical in Europe!
Matt, kudos for gently holding and closing those exterior cargo doors instead of just dropping them and and not even bothering to close them like you normally do👍
The 2 screens by the driver and passenger are a mirror cam system so you have cameras in place of mirrors. Works ok until it gets wet or fogged up.
I have no words. This is simply my ALL TIME FAVORITE!!
Hi Matt and Andrea!OMG guys! These motorhomes aren't playing around! I'm glad that I got a chance to see this video-💯%worth it! A vehicle within a vehicle is just amazing! The European Tour with castles/walls all around was also great to see and be a part of! Thanks guys, and take care!🎺🎺🎺🎺!
So the Mercedes Actros is a Euro Semi Truck. So this would be a Super C, kinda like your Renegade Ikon... Except no long nose and with a much better Garage IMO. I am curious how you'd get at the engine for Maitence since normally the whole cab tilts forward on an Actros.
Loving the European tour Matt. And your respect and humility in what could be a nervous time for you both, is lovely to see. Great work, a joy to watch.
Hey y’all. That’s not a ladder in the bathroom. That’s a towel heater.😂😊. Love y’all! Thanks!
The Miele oven is $$$. Miele is a high-end German brand. Miele appliances are common on multi-million-dollar Super Yachts. BTW, Dometic is also European, with HQ in Sweden but sold in more than one hundred countries. It also makes high-end stuff for super yachts.
GORRRRGEOUS! In the bathroom, maybe that's a heated towel rack rather than a ladder?
The twin beds convert to a king bed with a center insert.
12:50 🙂. That is not a ladder. It's for hanging and drying your towels
Hey M/A this unit is really cool .. looks like a cab-over style class B chassis - look up: Chevy low cab forward 6500 chassis for a visual on the chassis construction (but imagine it big like a Renegade XL) and there’s nothing behind the back axle .. in motor homes I see this as a super C with the engine under the cockpit instead of in front of it .. I think technically it’s a super C bcz it’s built on a cut truck chassis .:. Cockpit is well trimmed 👍🏽 this is a mass production chassis so the nice trim is less expensive; Interior is gorgeous 👍🏽 love the J lounge and the two side chairs, cabinet work, colours and finishes; kitchen kudos for the finishes, stacked appliances and pantry 👍🏽 even though the fridge is a bit smaller; master bedroom is functional 👍🏽 storage behind headboard, walk space, good size bed .:. Interesting way to do a super C - bcz of the height (quite normal in Europe) the garage is dropped down behind the back axle and under the bedroom .:. Very cool .:. On the spec sheet the MSRP STARTS at US$ 685,000 .:. I see lots of comparison to the US units but with this one I see it as pretty similar in finish to a mega-bus like the Foretravel or the N / P .:. Really cool thanks M/A I will look at the second unit tomorrow
This is an AWESOME motorhome!!!
Gorgeous 😍 and so tall. Interior is unbelievable and first ever radius shower that passed.
I've followed your videos & channel for years. Matt & Andrea you are awesome !
It's so fun to watch you guys at this German RV Show. You are like "Kids in a Candy Store" !
Love from Washington DC.
yeaaaaaaaa matt is being gentle
Great to see another European Rv Edition. Great job Matt and Andrea 👍
What you call DEF in America is called AdBlue here in Europe. Same stuff, different name
The “ladder” is a heated towel rack.
I like how they were dissapointed with the sls black series literally one the most badass cars on the planet not being a run of the mill porsche lol
They took the sharp corner off the bed. Smart.
It's funny Matt I don't see you slaming the shit out out of the doors outside 🤣
Matt, you never got up on das roof! 😢
Cool! A garage model that IS a garage
Iove the division door between the cab and cabin. If one has a hired driver they can focus on driving without passenger disturbance.
I’ve been looking at thee for years wondering why the American designers don’t go look and copy some of the features.
This is gorgeous. Why can't we get this in the US. Are we not worthy? I want this.
Wonderful. It just adds so much to world peace...a tour of free economic possibilities and hope. I studied in Normandy...so the University of Caen was across from Chateau ruins and beautiful park of William the Conqueror....so great you can tie a little history in as well as the motor home tour. This is fantastic you guys,,,so excited for you.
The "ladder" you seen next to the shower was actually a towel warmer 😂 great video guys
Those slides look similar to slides made in Canada by a company called Valid Manufacturing. Valid slides are used by Prevost, Foretravel, Newell, and several specialty Super C manufacturers such as 1492 Coaches.
Hope Matt and Andrea do a review/walkthrough of the large class A Vario-Mobile with a tag axle. Would like to see how that one compares to a Newell or a Prevost in terms of price and features.
Ed I feel the same way I think the European Coaches are beautiful but I don't think they compare to a Newell build quality or a Liberty Prevost, I would love for Matt to answer that question.
Wow, great ideas, North American builders should pay attention!
European RVs = Major Leagues American RVs = Minor Leagues That's how I see the difference between the two RV Thinktanks after seeing so many of these reviews - amazing European precision
You guys always bring the energy but it seemed like you were really hyped to view this one!
MATT REALLY CLASSING UP THE JOINT
What a beautiful motorhome.....even the 2nd one is great! I want one!!!
The European never mess up with their beer or wine but you can throw away the water 🤣. I don't picture them driving these large RVS through the small towns. We moved to Germany in the 90 and we decided no to buy an rv because of that reason.
I think we get all exited about how nice European motorhomes look, but we need to remember, it's Europe, it's not USA so of course they will be different. Some features I like some I don't. So far they are more minimalist than the ones in the US.
When was Uhtred/Uchtred alive? Uhtred the Bold, Ealdorman of Northumbria, my 29th great-grandfather, lived from 970-1016. His father, Waltheof, was 20 and his mother, Aelfleda, was 15. Uhtred died at 46, in Wighill, Yorkshire, England. Fun fact.
My dad and family is from Yorkshire!!!
The word they're looking for is FINISHED.
The Mercedes-Benz is better than the Cadillac. I don't see why everybody so shocked. The door behind the drivers section is so people can't look through your RV when you drive in or Park. Smart!
That was a heated towel bar, very european. don't you love how they do things over there? the prices are less there, too and better quality
You two have the best job ever!
Nice to see you in Düsseldorf,Germany. Vario is one of the top RV,s. I bought last year a Morelo LoftLiner. A good one some fits on the small roads in Norway.
These all great Matt and Andrea! I love these Rvs. It’s nice seeing how the Rvs look over there in Germany.
Thank you for showing these. Great job!
Yes, they actually digest their food. That's how they stay so thin.
These European luxury RVs, all include the infamous Alde water distributed heating system...
Definitely this is not ‘merica. Not a boring RV. So many UAUs for a single video.
Not a ladder a warming towel rack!👍🏻😊
Damn those RVs were Wonderbar. I am Utred son of Utred. Destiny is ALL.
If I knew you was in London I'd have popped down the road to say hi.
Even if you COULD get one of those over here--I wonder if any shops here would touch it to service! (maybe they don't break....)
BEAUTIFUL AWESOME RV’S THINK YOU BROOKLYN BEDDING WHO IS THE REAST OF YOUR FAMILY
Love the design would have preferred a Ford Superduty cab from a cost standpoint
Absolutely love you two, have learned so much about RVs that I never knew❤
That is not a ladder. It is a towel heater. They went 1st class all the way.
12:52 think that is a towel warmer.
Is the plumbing and electric on the door side ?
Price ?
Newmar made several interesting floorplans with this chassis branded the "All Star" including a motorcycle hauler with opposing slides and ramps for the bikes, a rear kitchen model, and a model with a master bedroom on the lower level and a second bedroom above in addition to a toy hauler with a ramp on the side of the coach rather than the rear.

newmar.imgix.net/wp-content/uploads/2019/02/27073517/2008-all-star-mid-diesel.pdf
Looks awesome, but it must be me but all the ones that have the garage looks like the ramps are off set where the left hand side mirror might get knocked off.
The 'ladder' in the bathroom is a HEATED towel rail.
Newell Coach has that slide system
Do people really buy a 1.1 million $ coach at a RV show…. ? With that kind of money…seems it would be a much more private/personal level . They are really nice . Thanks for all your hard work… keep those videos coming .
Have u experienced the quiet hours for there 2-3 hour meals and naps ? We absolutely loved living there for 4 years.
Yes kind of. All these units on the show are already sold. This company has nothing in stock. And on this show it is just first contact to arrange meetings for the build.
Yowza that's doozy!!! Beautiful !!!
Germany has some hella good engineers 🤯
were you able to get a price on the MB?
This is beautiful. We need this motorhome in America.
Beyond impressed with the Euro RV's wonder if they'll ever make it to North America?, Never say never.
I bought one of these units. Long wait.
Like the 3 point harness on the recliners.
This is an impressive RV for sure. However, in the 2002 through 2008 timeframe, Spartan made a mid-engine chassis; the engine was just in front of the rear wheels. Travel Supreme (forerunner of Entegra) used this chassis to build a garage. Above the garage was the bedroom so unlike today's toy haulers you don't give up living space for garage space. See it with a smart car in it at smartrvguide.
So one of those will never make it into America then? US spec bumpers, headlights???
Also, this chassis design is known as a "Cab Over" and was very popular with the US trucking industry in the 1960s and 1970s but fell out of favor for the less practical but more macho trucks we have today.
Not a Ladder in the bathroom that is a heated towel rack
Me watching this video … 🤤🤤🤤
This motor home is absolutely beautiful! I love it!!!
Wow just looking at it head on what a beast❤
That blue cap is D E F fluid
show the vehicle
I'm pretty sure Matt gave the side eye to see if anyone was there before he announced, "prime pooping position."
Are these sold in the States?
Not a ladder it's a towel warmer
