I really really hope American manufacturers take time to evaluate some of the European ingenuity. With the size American companies have to work with, if they learned to streamline and multi-design like their European counterparts, the RVs over here could be revolutionary.
Don’t hope. US “safety regulations” are in place to discourage some people, to import foreign-spec vehicles. Imagine you forking €2M just to have this beauty, dismantled by US Customs! In fact, they won’t even ship unless is up to “code,” as in: -). Regular rearview mirrors, instead of HD cams/screens, -). That flat front, -). Engine is “too efficient” for US standards, -). Requires a non-socialist shifter, -). The garage has to fit a Dodge or a Camaro, instead of a commie car like a Mini or an AMG-Black Badge, Etc. They can sell it to you, but will warn you “THE VEHICLE IS NOT UP TO US CODE.”
You are 100% correct, but, sadly, don't hold your breathe. Any high quality America makes, you will pay an arm and a leg for. No one is interested in making a quality product for a great price.
@@roslolian11 shit ive looked into european rvs for the same thing prices tend to be similar their are just more cheap options here compared to expensive ones
It’ll be interesting to see their reviews on US models after they get back from Europe. The US market is no competition to Europe. They build much better RV’s over there. The quality and design is just in a whole different league.
Along with pretty much everything else they do, but a lot of people over here think they’re a bunch of socialists! Well, looks like they’re doing pretty well in the rv business!!
The quality of all cars, RVs, trucks, earth movers, etc etc etc is light years better than American build quality. It’s all about attention to detail. Look at Porsche. The cars are meticulously designed and assembled. A big problem with American RVs is the stayed look of the interiors. Nice for Grandpa and Grandma, but……..
@@samuelcain5426 No they’re not. They are good coaches but ALL North American coaches fall short when you get down to how they’re put together. It’s not just a coincidence that many Europeans who attend the Hershey RV show leave saying US RV’s are cheaply built, and Americans who travel to Europe for RV shows come home saying US manufacturers need to step up their game. The European market builds better RV’s and have for YEARS.
@@squeakD Exactly! Americans are so brainwashed that we are the best in the world, a lot of people in this country are so arrogant! Germany’s GDP is twice that of the U.S., and they do it with unions and many more regulations Than U.S. manufacturer!
This is a awesome Euro Super C. The digital side view mirrors are nice. The interior is beautiful. I wish more US RV makers would make toy hauler motor homes that could carry a car. Thanks for another great video!

These companies don’t run their countries like the U.S., the government protects the consumers from shoddy workmanship and hold companies to a higher standard!
Loving the European tour Matt. And your respect and humility in what could be a nervous time for you both, is lovely to see. Great work, a joy to watch.
I've followed your videos & channel for years. Matt & Andrea you are awesome ! It's so fun to watch you guys at this German RV Show. You are like "Kids in a Candy Store" ! Love from Washington DC.
Hi Matt and Andrea!OMG guys! These motorhomes aren't playing around! I'm glad that I got a chance to see this video-💯%worth it! A vehicle within a vehicle is just amazing! The European Tour with castles/walls all around was also great to see and be a part of! Thanks guys, and take care!🎺🎺🎺🎺!
Like the side view camera monitors. Maybe one day the USA will adapt this feature....I feel this is the way to go for sure. Even if the USA doesn't I guess one could have both monitors and mirros to get around laws. Like these types of coaches.... The Dembell Model S XXL Motorhome is my favorite to date.
Matt, kudos for gently holding and closing those exterior cargo doors instead of just dropping them and and not even bothering to close them like you normally do👍
I think the US RV manufacturers focus on quantity vs quality, it’s all about pumping millions of units out, Quality subsequently went down the drain 👎👎
Wonderful. It just adds so much to world peace...a tour of free economic possibilities and hope. I studied in Normandy...so the University of Caen was across from Chateau ruins and beautiful park of William the Conqueror....so great you can tie a little history in as well as the motor home tour. This is fantastic you guys,,,so excited for you.
Nice to see you in Düsseldorf,Germany. Vario is one of the top RV,s. I bought last year a Morelo LoftLiner. A good one some fits on the small roads in Norway.
The Miele oven is $$$. Miele is a high-end German brand. Miele appliances are common on multi-million-dollar Super Yachts. BTW, Dometic is also European, with HQ in Sweden but sold in more than one hundred countries. It also makes high-end stuff for super yachts.
Those slides look similar to slides made in Canada by a company called Valid Manufacturing. Valid slides are used by Prevost, Foretravel, Newell, and several specialty Super C manufacturers such as 1492 Coaches.
Hope Matt and Andrea do a review/walkthrough of the large class A Vario-Mobile with a tag axle. Would like to see how that one compares to a Newell or a Prevost in terms of price and features.
Ed I feel the same way I think the European Coaches are beautiful but I don't think they compare to a Newell build quality or a Liberty Prevost, I would love for Matt to answer that question.
Hey M/A this unit is really cool .. looks like a cab-over style class B chassis - look up: Chevy low cab forward 6500 chassis for a visual on the chassis construction (but imagine it big like a Renegade XL) and there’s nothing behind the back axle .. in motor homes I see this as a super C with the engine under the cockpit instead of in front of it .. I think technically it’s a super C bcz it’s built on a cut truck chassis .:. Cockpit is well trimmed 👍🏽 this is a mass production chassis so the nice trim is less expensive; Interior is gorgeous 👍🏽 love the J lounge and the two side chairs, cabinet work, colours and finishes; kitchen kudos for the finishes, stacked appliances and pantry 👍🏽 even though the fridge is a bit smaller; master bedroom is functional 👍🏽 storage behind headboard, walk space, good size bed .:. Interesting way to do a super C - bcz of the height (quite normal in Europe) the garage is dropped down behind the back axle and under the bedroom .:. Very cool .:. On the spec sheet the MSRP STARTS at US$ 685,000 .:. I see lots of comparison to the US units but with this one I see it as pretty similar in finish to a mega-bus like the Foretravel or the N / P .:. Really cool thanks M/A I will look at the second unit tomorrow
So the Mercedes Actros is a Euro Semi Truck. So this would be a Super C, kinda like your Renegade Ikon... Except no long nose and with a much better Garage IMO. I am curious how you'd get at the engine for Maitence since normally the whole cab tilts forward on an Actros.
Newmar made several interesting floorplans with this chassis branded the "All Star" including a motorcycle hauler with opposing slides and ramps for the bikes, a rear kitchen model, and a model with a master bedroom on the lower level and a second bedroom above in addition to a toy hauler with a ramp on the side of the coach rather than the rear.
European RVs = Major Leagues American RVs = Minor Leagues That's how I see the difference between the two RV Thinktanks after seeing so many of these reviews - amazing European precision
Looks awesome, but it must be me but all the ones that have the garage looks like the ramps are off set where the left hand side mirror might get knocked off.
I think we get all exited about how nice European motorhomes look, but we need to remember, it's Europe, it's not USA so of course they will be different. Some features I like some I don't. So far they are more minimalist than the ones in the US.

Yes kind of. All these units on the show are already sold. This company has nothing in stock. And on this show it is just first contact to arrange meetings for the build.
This is an impressive RV for sure. However, in the 2002 through 2008 timeframe, Spartan made a mid-engine chassis; the engine was just in front of the rear wheels. Travel Supreme (forerunner of Entegra) used this chassis to build a garage. Above the garage was the bedroom so unlike today's toy haulers you don't give up living space for garage space. See it with a smart car in it at smartrvguide.
The Mercedes-Benz is better than the Cadillac. I don't see why everybody so shocked. The door behind the drivers section is so people can't look through your RV when you drive in or Park. Smart!
The "ladder" in the bathroom is a heated towel rack. Pretty standard in European homes. 🙂
Also where I got to laugh a little :)
Continental tires and Truma was founded in Germany. Dometic was founded by the Swedish company Electrolux. Thule is also a Swedish founded company.
Hey Guys! The chrome "ladder" thing is a electric "towel warmer." Found through out the E.U.
Also in high end luxury motorhomes here in the U.S.

Hey y’all. That’s not a ladder in the bathroom. That’s a towel heater.😂😊. Love y’all! Thanks!
Iove the division door between the cab and cabin. If one has a hired driver they can focus on driving without passenger disturbance.
The 2 screens by the driver and passenger are a mirror cam system so you have cameras in place of mirrors. Works ok until it gets wet or fogged up.
