    Much respect to you and your guy (the one that looks a little like Dracula). The stop loss is the most debated issue in trading. All the wrong ways you demonstrated, i did. I always heard find the stop 1st. Sometimes this theory collides with a setup. But like u said, the market gives no ish about my plan to enter. Salute my brother

    Newer trader here. Recently I have been putting more thought into the SL position, but I wasn't entirely sure if that was a good thing or not. Thanks for going over it. I'll be sure to continue using this strategy.

      Hey Justin, welcome to the business. The stop is vital, it works the risk side of the plan, which is far more important than profit. Any monkey can make money when the trade starts off right, but a pro makes money even when it starts off wrong. Risk management is like insurance, you don't pay for the policy hoping your hosue burns down, but it's there if you need it. Love joy and happiness to you. - G

    please have a question? .... do you move your stop up if you go long or you leave it where it is when you enter?

    • @TradeProAcademy
      @TradeProAcademy  2 года назад

      Hey Max, that really depends on the type of day, so for a slow day with no vol, you want to start trailing it pretty soon to lock out the risk and go to a free trade for the core. On faster days with more vol, like today, you can give it some more time and not move it until you hit your first take profit target. Also, you'd have to have used a wider stop today - so that's why it's more risky on higher volatility, things get a tad bit messier. - G

    ATR that is all.

      That's one way to start out, but each market has it's own mechanics and traits, ATR is great for some, and horrible for others. Just my 2 shiny pennies....wait .. inflation... nickels. - G

    Hello George Hope you're having a great weekend
    Great video as always If I may suggest an idea, if the current market conditions are too volatile for a proper stop placement in the ES Possibly place the trade in the MES That way the trade can be taken and still use proper risk management
    LJH to you and your family

    • @TradeProAcademy
      @TradeProAcademy  2 года назад +1

      Hey Dan, switching down to MES is cool, but remember that trading more frequently will run up commissions much faster than the ES. You can flip to the MES to get proper scale and stop, but try to only go for high probability because too many shots fired will lead to a huge commission tab that can eat profits quickly. Ask me how I know? LOL. - G (LJH brother)
