The dog seems full of energy. I would really think long and hard about a dog espeically if you want to have kids in the future. I don't think there is anything wrong with keeping the dog outside as long as it has a protected shelter and water. Nice to see you back Theo :)
Lovely to hear your voice again Theo. Did you hear about the dyslexic atheist? he didn't believe there was a dog.... that was a joke my 8 year old brought home from school a few years ago. Dogs are definitely man's best friend. Our Kofi (aged 18) passed away this year and I don't know if we will get another one. They become part of the family and we nearly feel as if we are being un-faithful to Kofi if we get a new dog. Our next door neighbour has the cutest little dog that you could ever see, she is tiny. She is so afraid of everyone and everything but she now knows my voice and smell. I feel privileged when she accepts me and comes up and licks me. Yep, they are mans (and womans!) best friends.
My dogs sleep in the foot of my bed. I have 3 very small dogs between 8 and 11 pounds. I never leave them alone. They have a “dog stroller” because they are too small to go jogging. It’s a jogging stroller. If you leave him outside put a doghouse or kennel with mosquito net. Otherwise can get worms. Heart worms. It might be easier to let him sleep inside in one corner of the house. Brush his teeth. I actually ordered a giant toothbrush and put police oil in it so they brush their own teeth
@@theoisback Yes they do Theo, that's why I said to think long and hard before you get one. They are a lot of maintenence, just like kids. They need baths, vaccinations, medical if they get sick or hurt, nail trims, they coats trimmed, some even need a special diet. Also brushing their teeth is super super important, you also need to wash the things they use daily, like their bowls amd toys that you can just rinse. Things like their blankets and other toys need to be washed when dirty (at least every 2 weeks). You also need to play mind games with them like hide-and-seek (games that stimulate their minds) it keeps them alive longer. You need to also look after their coats, like I said before keep their coats brushed and free of ticks and make sure to give them a bath when needed. Dogs also need a routine or else they can be terrors, so if you live an unpredictable lifestyle your dog would not be happy. Also very very important, instead of a neck collar for a dog,, get a body harness for them. Their necks are sensitive and should not be pulled by a collar, a body harness does not put any pressure on their necks. I hope a few of these tips helps :). Good luck
Hi I'm interested in getting a pet when I get to Rwanda. Can you tell me of any pet shops or shelters I can buy one. Also, are there kittens in Rwanda?
there no official pet shops, so all the dogs and kittens are usually sold by people themselves. I there is one dog shelter I know of in Kigali called WAGrwanda
Our dog sleeps inside the house on a very fluffy padded dog bed on the floor next to our bed .In fact he has three dog beds all over the house ! He also has a big bag of toys ! I am Nigerian but I have to admit we do spoil our dog!.The only thing I do not allow is licking of the face that is not hygienic , but if we put him outside at this stage he would start crying and wake up the neighbors!

You flat out shouldn’t have a dog if they’re not treated as a family member and allowed inside. I’d let a dog in my house before I let most people in.
ooh really
Man that title got me good, we call dogs "Imbwa" too. That's in Bemba, a local language here. Watching from Lusaka, Zambia.
whaha, what a coincidence
It's the same in the Kikongo and Lingala languages of Kongo.
Theo, yes 👍🏾 get a dog. A puppy… Get a dog house but no dog 🐩 in the house 🏠
haha, thnx
😂😂😂😂 Imbwa
