I know "they were dead the whole time" theories are cliche. This was just my best attempt to stitch together some of my favorite shows. This was one of my first videos ever. A couple things from the comments; No I didn't spoil the end of Lost at the end of this video, and I didn't add NewGirl in this theory because Schur had nothing to do with it. That crossover with B99 was awkward and it felt forced anyway. I'm not really sure how that crossover affects this theory, as I've never watched New Girl. Anyway, thanks for watching, and hope you'll check out the rest of my channel.

Dwight’s ought to be an angel then, he sent Kevin, Toby and Stanley to the good place, and when talking to Jan (A demon) about what he would do if in charge, he said get rid of half the people there, AKA the people he thought were redeemed. Not only does actively send people to the good place, but he uses himself as a tool for the others redemption. For example, he tried to get Darryl to stay at DM by playing with him but in the process pushed him away. He also made DM unbearable for Jim, pushing him to help start Athlead. If you look at it in this way you can see that Dwight’s a fantastic angel and friend, and is still helping people in DM as he was made manager

Creed may be a good place angel too. When the downsizing was happening, he urged Michael to fire Devon instead of him. Going along with this theory, it could be because Creed believed Devon had become good enough to be able to go to the good place. Similarly in the episode product recall, his orchestration of the firing of the paper mill employee was because he felt said employee was good enough for the good place. While the fact that in the second episode I mentioned he pocketed the money may throw a wrench in my theory, here's an explanation for that. He was testing them to see if they would give to someone who they thought needed money.

Holt being the architect for b99 makes sense as he is the one running the show and Kevin or Shaun is his husband popping in from time to time just to visit his husband. I would also guess Holt decided to give up his powers for the heist because otherwise what's the point of challenging a bunch of humans, and why when Kevin joined, he was so surprised he had been manipulated. It would also explain a lot about Cheddar.
And in Parks and Rec Mark was the original architect but since he proved to be unmotivated or creative aka season 1 he was replaced by Ben and Chris who brought up the first major conflict in the show, the government shutdown, and as they said in the show it was the two of them together because they balanced each other out, as Ben did enjoy hurting people with reality checks, and Chris's toxic positivity left people unprepared. But Ben did fall for a human which was against the rules but decided to join them to work through his issues and redeem himself so he could be with her. This could also be why it was important for him to put others in positions of power like Gary as mayor and Leslie as Govenor. And if Chris is a demon as well the first round of dating Ann was just to mess with her but over the series he actually does fall for her, but she earned her spot in the good place early and he can't go with her until he learns actual empathy instead of the toxic positivity he was used to spreading.

I love the partial "agent" theory and want to add another explanation.
Spoilers ahead for Beginning of S4 b99!
The sheriff in b99 (Jerry): The character pulled over Peralta and holt, eventually locking them up to then escape, to make them realize they were at such a low, they needed the 99. (If you don't believe me, in Coral Palms, after they escape they get supplies at a convivence store, and because of the breakout they escape with supplies eventually impaling holt and they realize they did in fact need the 99.) Not only did he do that, he also made jake and amy's relationship better. After the 99 arrives and the arcade thing happened, he comes and gives figgis another shot, eventually having amy shoot jake in the leg. Although this would end most relationships, amy and jake realize that they were meant for each other. Holt also realizes that he can call the 99 whenever, it's not bad to call for help. If Jerry hadn't been an agent, jake and holt would've probably been dead.

This was frighteningly accurate. But I have to add something.
Since now that we have confirmation that the Bad/Good Place are actively testing those who go to the Bad Place, this may dent your theory slightly. What if the characters who have been in multiple shows are actually demons who test multiple humans at different times. Like, it’s implied that Trevor survived being tossed by the Judge, so maybe he became a tester and helped test Leslie Knope. And while Jake Peralta may have been the one getting tested, perhaps, like Tahani, he also became a tester for Leslie Knope.

He probably just wanted to use it to make them think they were in the good place or because it was kind of torture to Eleanor. Anyway for the other shows Tahani or someone could’ve taken that over to the other neighborhoods for real once it was not to torture but improve. Those area Character Arcs and I can find evidence in same shows and their format that disproves your theory. These are episodic tv shows and hence have a conflict and a character arc. The good place has basically made that concept f conflict and character arc and made it the story. so this theory works as a theory and is only reinforced because the god place has made everything the rules of the world, which makes theory become self fullfilling.

A lot of prolific directors use a "shared universe", meaning that they repeatedly use the world fiction they've created, rather than needing to go through the tedious and unnecessary task of creating world fiction for each show.
So when a writer comes up with a fictitious automobile manufacturer for one show, and then they have another show that needs a scene on a car lot...guess which auto maker they'll use?
Using the same actor in more than one project is directing 101. George Lucas used Harrison Ford in American Graffiti, Star Wars, and Raiders of the Lost Ark. That doesn't link those franchises, it means they worked well together.
I see this theory pop up all too often as a way of adding intrigue to the humdrum world of producing shows and movies.

I think I had a solid explanation for that in context! They are assuming a different identity to go be a part of a different ‘neighborhood’

Another fun fact about the shows in the schurverse is they all get progressively worse as they go on

Have you seen the dumpster fire that was season 1 of Parks and Rec. That show didn't hit its stride until seasons 3 and 4. Season 5 was ok but it did devolve into a fan fiction for the last season when it should have ended soon after Anne Perkins left and when Leslie got the job with the EPA. Not to say the last season was "bad" it just wasn't necessary as the story had already reached its natural conclusion.

Could you make a part two of this theory changing it a bit to include season 4 of the good place because that would change this theory....a lot

Such a great video, I love how you've presented your ideas! The fact that you made people watch the good place makes us all a part of Schurverse, don't you think?

People in Pawnee got older which isn’t possible in the good place/bad place. Jake and Amy got a baby which isn’t possible. People got hurt and bled which isn’t possible in the good place. Since the system changed in the good place it isn’t possible because these neighborhoods don’t exist anymore it could be before the events of the good place but that also isn’t possible since Michael just started this idea. This isn’t possible

Though this is definitely food for thought, it seems like the theory is less that these shows are connected, and more that characters have arcs.

Mulverine Films stop it ☺️ ...I watch all the other shows, and Sebastian stood out to me...plus the character re-use, but I never looked to see why I see these correlations till your video created what I may as well have been thinking maybe or possibly so for better or worse than you can think of the greatest things that could be created on RUclips.... I swear Google is reading my thoughts, or maybe I was talking about this very thing... Who knows... It's crazy because this video just showed up, and I'm a gamer looking up FPS games lol and some open world blah blah blah.... Anyways I'm glad you made this video, my friends will love this... Keep it up
