It's interesting how people monetize the tithe as a deliverable when the Bible doesn't present this as an option, with the possible exception of the land tithe redemption, and there was a penalty for doing so. There is no biblical promise of a blessing for continually paying money to a religious institution. Not New Testament or Old. But there's nothing wrong with practicing tithing as a form of discretionary, systematic, giving.

@@markb7067 Abraham gave the spoils of war.. 5 kings attacked four kings. They took all of their goods. It took all of their people, the women, and even the children.. and then Abraham came in and defeated the five Kings.. he gave a tithe off of all of the spoils. This meant that even the small cash that they had in their pockets was given as a tithe.. if you don’t believe this, then you are saying that they never cared one penny on them.. and that it is mathematically incorrect biblically incorrect to assume.. a foreign king would never go out to battle with any money to buy food with.. They would obviously keep some kind of a treasury with them..

@@calebgibson55 Still didn't see a scripture reference. Do you have one? And these Kings that toted around their vaults of treasure in a battle - I guess they forgot to bring their own food or forgot how to hunt(?) Incidentally, there's no biblical evidence that what Abram submitted to Melchizedek was compulsory per God's instruction so it has no instructional significance whether silver and gold was a part of the spoils or not. Abram also gave away the rest of the war spoils, keeping none of it except what his troops consumed. Do you consider that instructional as well?
The Bible contains no remedy for compulsory (systematic) tithing to be normalized, which superseded Abram's one-time submission. There's no such thing as a biblical tithe received from earned wages. Not New Testament, or Old.
