I so appreciate your work and watch your video's so often! I have tried to post a comment previously, but for some reason they never appear .... I'll see if this one posts! I have tried several of your techniques and ideas and they have turned out beautifully for the novice painter I am. Currently, I am attempting your watercolor combination idea with botanicals .... I've tried the one with the smaller florals as well. Such wonderful ideas that I had never thought of but have been SUCH a help and so satisfying upon completion. And I have learned so much about drawing from you as well. I've drawn my own bird house and mushroom villages for fun ... for my eyes only ... and used your valentine card idea this past February. I've even tried drawing with my PEN instead of a pencil and was pleasantly surprised ~ but I've not put away my pencil. Thank you for your website and for all you share! So helpful and appreciated!
Love your style! You indeed took all the tension and “ must be perfect” out of doing this! In doing that, you ended up with VERY fluid, interesting shapes and botanicals that drew you in and pleases the eye! I don’t have to name the flowers and leaves, I’m just free to enjoy them! Great job👍👍👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 🎨
This was great fun. I love the pages you put together with your paint combo experiments. Fantastic way to keep on hand for reference. Your work is so loose and beautiful. Very inspiring. Thanks for sharing your ideas and talent!
Thank you again Michelle for a wonderful tutorial! You always inspire me! Just wanted to throw out there for anybody interested in color palettes. Denise Love who is an abstract watercolourist on RUclips, regularly uses two different color prompts on her tutorials. One of them being the Color Meditation Deck Set of prompts by Lisa Solomon, found on Amazon. The other is the Color Cube by Sarah Renea Clark found on her website. These both look super helpful and fun for those suffering from "breaking-the-blank-page" fear! Happy Creating!💫💜🌈🙋♀️
Michele, I was watching you do this for a few minutes and the calmness that you teach made me feel so comfortable that I pulled out my paper and paints and restarted the video to paint with you. Your technique is so amazing and makes me feel like I can do this and learn to get better at painting. you are really a wonderful teacher. Thank you so much for making me feel so good about wanting to learn more from you and learn to grow in this water color painting.
To be honest, I don't know how I found your channel - basically junk journal related - but you've opened my creative world. Ever since I drew along with you on that first mushroom and got recognizable results, I've watched, attempted and drawn, doodled and painted along with you. All of this is new to me, and you present things in an easy and user friendly way. I've always wanted to learn to draw and you are a great teacher. Love your style and no pressure approach, thanks so much.
I wrote the names of my pallet colors on little pieces of paper, put them in a small fish bowl, and I will randomly pick 3 colors. Those are the only colors I use. It gets interesting sometimes 😅 I love your work 🤩 it inspires me daily 🎨🙌🏻
The poor artist's solution to the Color Cubes by Sarah Renae Clark that are very trendy right now. Your color combo plays were great and I really enjoyed what you created from them. I would love to see more of these if you decide to do more and share with us. Thanks.
Ami il tuo stile e gli abbinamenti di colore che usi, sei di ispirazione e di insegnamento, soprattutto per liberare la mente da abitudini artistiche che non rispettano la propria personalità. Grazie❤
Your art style is so free, and your ability to experiment and just play with the different color schemes is amazing. Even when you were testing out the different paint trio's, they came out so beautiful; especially with the added ink. Love your art, thank you for this video!
On the video startup, the second from the left with the brown & blue combo… those were my favorites! Which brand and color of those two colors were those? I want to get them! Great video!
In my opinion, an artist is someone who creates. By that definition, you are absolutely a watercolor artist, and as far as I see, a very good one! Thank you for your wonderful, instructive videos!❤
Having been brought up in a world where colouring inside the lines was the judge of how good at painting you were, I find it very hard to be as loose as this 😂 but I love it so much and I'm working on it 👏👏👍
I am in LOVE with your color combo swatches. I feel kind of stuck right now and I think that would be a great way to just relax and play and hopefully get inspired!
The last one would yell gimme quin gold in the background; or deep teal. Yellow and purple make a beautiful series of brown. Magnenta and yelloows can make awesome reds depending on your yellow though.
@@thecreativecove6898 Awwww. I truly love your sketches and watercolor art. I sketched and painted a whole page of your bird houses...soooo much fun! Keep on creating, you are an artist 🎨
I believe that Fabriano paper from their 1264 series is not made from cotton. I bought it, too, since it was inexpensive, and only use it for things like swatching.
Thank you very much for another great tutorial. Always love to watch you create and hear you chat. Miya Himi and Arteza gouache are quite affordable to start with.😅 If they are available in your place. I'm from Holland Europe ❤
I've watched most of your videos now and I would really like to see you just build a junk journal and actually start filling it :-) You can draw, so you could even decorate the pages by just drawing directly onto the journal pages.
Ok thank you. I find I struggle with big project videos. I feel a lot of pressure to film it all in one sitting. But perhaps I should just make a long video. Thank you 😊
Sarah Renea Clark has a whole coloring cube you can purchase. It’s a boxed set of 500 and she even has a book that has them colored matched with markers and Prisma colored pencils. It’s on my list to purchase next.
It's beautiful. I have one and it was quite an investment. But I feel it was worth the money if playing around with color themes is something that interests you.
You might like to try himi gouache. It’s somewhere in between artists and student grade and awesome value for money!! Love the botanical drawings btw!!
LOVE the paint chip idea and will use that with my high school classes! thanks again for providing inspiration
Love your videos ❤ Thank you for sharing your talent ❤

You are so talented 👏 I cant wait to try these!! Thank you!
That's such a fun fabulous idea! Will try! Also, if you haven't already, please do a sampling/review of the watercolor brands you use! ❤
Arteza makes gouache that is not too expensive and with a lot of colors. Maybe you could try those. Inspire me to use my set, lol.
For not being a watercolorist, you do beautiful work! You are a wonderful artist no matter what you do!
Thank you so much!

@@thecreativecove6898 its addictive :P if anything you can do a watercolor smoosh like with inks. Just dry Inbetween to prevent mud.

Yes. Sorry about that 😊
❤ your videos! Had a little trouble following this one as the bottom 2 were not in camera entirely. Have learned SO MUCH from you
I know I am sorry. I thought they work but my iPhone holder is falling apart. I have to invest in a new one so I think it sank when I hit record. 😢

I am going to try drawing and painting leaves like this but first I must relax and draw bigger leaves. My leaves are too small.
