I've got a 30 dollar T6 XML ebay headlamp that is amazing. It's bright, has a variable angle beam and the batteries last for days. The only downside is it's pretty bulky and on the heavy side so not the greatest when weight and space is at a premium. But for 4wd camping, it's perfect.

But may have loosened enough for me to wiggle back n forth till it smoothly wound out.

The zoom ring is so tight that you need both hands to adjust it. With gloves on it is difficult to adjust it at all in fact. This way way better on the older models like the SEO5 for example. The light switch should be a little bigger and more tactile (not so round and smooth) so that you could feel where it is and operate it with gloves on. The light beam is not as evenly distributed as it was on older models. Feels like led lenser has lowered their aim a bit. Other than that, the light is bright and fits quite well around the head.

We'd recommend trying it with another battery to see if the current battery is faulty, if possible.
Otherwise get intouch with your retailer and the warranty team can take a look, see what may be the issue.

@@SnowysOutdoors I bought another one, new Ledlenser but it seems it works the same... before it was okay, it was working for 10h with 600 lumens. I send it to the retailer, but they said it is ok... how to program it? Instruction says we can use 3 diffrend modes and lock or unlock it, but it doesnt work... As is says i press the button for 16 seconds to set the mode. I think I need to program this somehow in other way?? or I got craped 2 ledlensers...

Мощные светодиодные фонари обычно сильно нагреваются, так что это не редкость.
Как правило, высокие режимы освещения имеют ограничение по времени, чтобы они не перегревались.

We have a HiTech battery, Holy Butterfly, check it out here (www.snowys.com.au/hitech-2600mah-rechargable-li-ion-battery). The MH10 uses a standard 18650 3.7V battery which you can pick up at most battery, electronic or even hardware stores. If you want the genuine Led Lenser replacement then get in touch and we'll see what we can sort out for you. 1300 914 007. ~ Ben

Not true, on high bream after 6-8 minutes it drops to mid power. So how can it run for 10 hours. You’ve not used this head torch in the field
    Very interesting on your take
    Thank you

    • @SnowysOutdoors
      @SnowysOutdoors  4 года назад

Hi Paul, we've not used all our products in the field, and rely on manufacturer information for data like run times and lumens. Led Lenser do state that the minimum run time is 10 hours, and this may vary a little depending on certain conditions, but if you are only getting 6-8 minutes then there may be an issue with your headlamp.
If you purchased your headlamp from us then you can use this form (www.snowys.com.au/returns-warranties) and we will look into it for you, otherwise I'd suggest asking at the place of purchase. ~ Ben

@@SnowysOutdoors No, it's not an issue. The headlamp has 3 program modes in which you can switch/choose operation. Have a look into the manual. By holding the green on/off button for an amount of time you can cycle through the different modes.

@@SnowysOutdoors this headlamps use a 18650 accu 3.6v 3400ma, all the other (honest) manufacturer of headlamp who use this (armytek/nitecore/go'lum for exemple) tell that at 500lumens it give about 3-3h30 of run time so at 600lumens no matter what you do you can't reach 10h (with 600lumens non stop)...so you have to cheat and drop the lumens after few time to reach 10h... you can get 10h with about 180lumens...
All the main brand are playing this game (and acting like asshole) they tell you the lumens after 30s and the duration when it drop under 10% of this lumens. Once you knew the ANSI reglemntation you understand all the crap they said.

Mike It is set to default and when I changed the mode it made no difference, it still drops to a lower power. All can be done is the order of which mode to use. When I take out the battery and replace it goes back to default. Due to where the on of switch is I’ve found it switches on in my pack so I turn the battery around

We don't have the facilities to accurately test all these specifications, Goldrush, so we need to rely on what the manufacturer tell us. In the instance of the MH10, Led Lennser specify that it has a maximum lumen output of 600 lumens at 150 metres, with a runtime of 10 hours. ~ Ben

@@SnowysOutdoors Goldrush is right, my MH10 does drop in intensity from maximum after a few minutes. However as you point out, the manufacturer states a "maximum" output of 600 lumens (doesn't say continuous) and a runtime of 10 hours (doesn't state the average lumens to achieve this). It is sneaky, but it is what it is. I still use it and it serves its purpose though.
