Never been a fan of Luminox. In the past they seemed to have QA issues, second-hand off-center etc. The case is interesting, but the crystal is hardened mineral. Too pricey for the value. Thank you for sharing.

Very soon I will make a review for the Luminox Master Series with Sapphire crystal. I have 3 more Luminox in line. 🙂

I have this watch too, the Luminox Bear Grylls LAND series watch. I receive so many compliments on the paracord strap. It is very cool. Thanks for the review!

Ok, nice review and I really appreciate your time spent making this review.
    Back to Luminox.
From my perspective as someone who really uses watches in harsh environments and really needs a tough watch I would avoid Luminox for several reasons:
    1. It is too expensive compared to other makers.
    2. It is not made from any special materials.
    3. It is just looking tough, fancy, good...
    4. Not normal for me does the model made from recycled materials is almost double the price of the model which is not made from recycled materials. Totally nonsense for me.
The watch in this video is nothing better than an average Casio AV-2000 whose price is around $50.
Even after 10 years it is still working without any problem. As a rescue diver I use it on all my dives and also in very muddy waters etc.
Casio was founded in 1946 in Japan. That means this company is 43 years older than Luminox and still on the market.
I have also watches from other companies which are much better than Luminox. I'm really disappointed in Luminox quality for the price they are selling it for.
If you buy a Luminox that doesn't mean you're a tough guy or a Navy ready guy...

Interested in this but do not like how the end of the band sticks out so far unless you have a huge wrist. Then you look down at your watch and the end is ticking way out

nice review bro,the only thing i like about luminox watches in genral is they glow more n more in darkness, not like others that diminish in darkness over a period of time.

      Yes, I totally agree.

That would be the tritium gas tubes. There are other (better) watches out there that have this feature that aren't that much more expensive than Luminox.

I like the Tritium, but would love in an Automatic, and the Diver model should be 300m min... but it's a nice watch...

Shoulve done a contract with Walmart. In a survival situation you survive on minimum resources. For him to sell them at outrageous prices to me it's ridiculous.Id rather buy G shock in my opinion.

Very nice Indeed, thanks I would put on a regular Nato though! 👍👍

I have already sent a suggestion to Luminox to add a free NATO strap to the kit. I think it's a good idea, that model on NATO strap.

no good survival watch is not self powered. either solar or automatic .
It is a pretty watch but 600 dollars! you can get a casio Mudmaster GWG-1000 on ebay for that much solar, atomic, sapphire , compass, altimeter ! that is a real survival watch . this is a watch you wear around town. this watch should be AT MOST 300 dollars.

    • @920WASHBURN

It would be if it didn't have his name on it. Or at least get a real surviver like the first guy. Grylls had a camera guy and a panic button. The other one was just by himself.

@@920WASHBURN luminoxes are really crappy survival watches in general.
A citizen diver or a casio would be the way to go.
Bear used to wear g shocks before he landed the sponsorship

  • @920WASHBURN
    @920WASHBURN Год назад

It's a good watch but it's probly double the price just because of that poor man's Survivorman.
