All I can say is plants. They’ll really clear the water.
Live plants??
@@teejones__3802 yes, both aquatic and terrestrial
@@CHAISOICY Bet I’ll try that in my 75g
@@teejones__3802 do a ton of research bro and you’ll eventually find your niche
Lucky you. I have 7 goldfish that love to destroy any plant they see
Tried the Chemi Pure Blue for the first time with yesterday's filter clean and I can say yes, this is the secret sauce. My water is movie quality clear now. Thanks!
Love to hear it!
All good tips thank you sir!!!!!!
Good tips but sometimes people still get cloudy water.
I’d say water changes
No over feeding
Accuclear from api it’s amazing
Lots of Plants and rocks
Good filtration and making sure your filters are working right
And one big one a timer on your lights to much light will give a algae bloom and make water more cloudy
And if you guys do all this then it can come down to the types of fish you have like loaches are horrible for kicking up your gravel in your water Columnor or Cory’s lol but usually it only last for a little bit
I got a clown pleco a week ago and that thing shits a lot more than I expected lol. I have to use the turkey baster to maintain the poop everyday.
I did all of these and still have cloudy water I kerp only 4 chiclyds in 20 gallon and a cleaner fish 😢
Thank you
I appreciate your info
Thanks for the tips.
Thanks guys!
Finally speaking the truth and not selling junk well spoken thank you
Thanks, but we’re never trying to sell junk. We only say what works well for us
Great Tips. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
Great vid
I don’t see you as much now because I’m more on reptile side than fish side of yt
@@glub9075 could also be because i am more active on my alt account @Amazing aquatics and exotics or the fact that i am more busy. honestly idk
Wow super clear the water
Thanks for the info
👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks for a great video!
Thanks for watching!
I just started using a wavemaker on my African cichlid tank. It's a game changer and the fish love it!
Very nice!
Good result ❤
I know it’s not popular but with an under gravel filter, my water clarity is always very good. Thanks for all the great tips!
Chemi pure is great I've used green for heavily planted tanks and it works well I have elite in the goldfish and the Oscar tank rn havnt used blue though im sure it works well. All Great tips 👍
U are aware that chemo pure is actually Pumice stone broken into lil bits rite??😂 yall payin too much for it,. Go to Lowe’s, Home Depot,
true value,.. chemo pure is WAYYYY overpriced,. Jus sayin’m😅
@blkicemike4857 probably, but it's 10 dollars, so I don't really care...
I love the tanks!! ❤
Thanks!
100% agree with you. 👍
👍🏻👍🏻
That is beautiful
YaaY!! Thsnks
your aquascape is absolutely breathtaking
Thank you!
Your being sarcastic I hope
@@dallasbrat81 why do you hope that im being sarcastic
@@sallythedino have you studied aquascaping? If you have what's done here is elementary
@@dallasbrat81 no, why would i have studied aquascaping? im new at it, and yes I've seen better, but i still think it looks good. beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and i am beholding rn.
Water flow pumps and better filters are the most beneficial in my experience. Alot of amateur fish keepers are NOTORIOUS for over feeding.
So how many times do i have to feed 5 guppy,4 neon and some shrimp ?
Great job beautiful tank
Thanks!
I have a 75 gallon tank and 2 algae eaters. I think it doesn't take very long for it to get dirty because they poop a lot. I have a big filter that has charcoal and a sponge filter In it. I can take that out and clean it frequently. Someday I hope they make a filter that sucks the impurities out, condenses down the waste to be removed as a dry square block as the water is being returned to the tank. Constantly running like this. Sort of like purifying drinking water. I used to put a chemical treatment in it but it said it would hurt snails and stuff so I quit using it. Remember if you go on shark tank with my idea I get a percentage lol!
That’s really smart but would also probably start to stink up the room unless you set up an elaborate disposal system
@@thenelsonbruhs722 Well, see, that's where my friends come in. 👽👽((((🖐)))🛸They'll beam it up to their ship and either shred it over the land for fertilizer or water for fish food. Easy solution. 😁
Hey man nice tank do u know where I can buy those kinda tanks?
Great looking tanks
Thanks!
Love this, and Remember: Keep walls clean os algea; Magnets scribes are cool, keep your hands from tge water, for the fish benefit.❤😂🎉
Honestly, my most CLEAREST tank is the one with sand, soil, dead leaves and lots of plants and driftwood. I have one filter, and it is doing amazing. My other tanks that have gravel as the substrate are not as clear. And i do a lot of maintenance on those tanks. But the one tank with all kinds of plants and microrganisms, i also never have to clean it I'm noticing. Maybe topping off with some water here and there.
It's a science experiment I'm trying out and the trick is the use of natural materials found outside is the better way to go ran all of this equipment. Also, I'd like to mention that i use no chemicals or anything in that specific tank. The other tanks i have been using substances as shown in this video.
Have you ever tried crinum Calamistratum? I’ve had success with keeping it with my Oscar and Severum as of now, we’ll see though.
Wave makers help prevent algae from settling on new plants!
These tips are very helpful for me. I am experiencing cloudy water in my tanks. I am going to use these tips. Thank you so much for your information.
Astronotus 🧡
I added sea salt cristals to my sweet water fish tank. And another water conditioner, all the above at First Time tank Setting. Repeat every 2 weeks. Do not overfeed at one time, better small meals, for Clear Water.
I'm not sure how I'm supposed to use polyfill with my current filtration system that is not a flat disc they are rather filters on each side of the tank and circular going down into the tank against the wall. I would really love any advice on how I could incorporate this polyfill into what I have. There are bags with little round corks in them I don't know if I can just add it to that?
Beautiful tanks. What’s your “go-to” light for a cichlid tank where there are no live plants?
Usually the Fluval aquasky
Cool I probably need better sponges
That’s a huge tank! Super beautiful fish and love the set up
Thank you!
Hey can I use aquaguard RO water which has Active Copper & Zinc For My Aquarium will fishes thrive?
Poly Phil is by far the best way to polish your water
Trust
One of the best mechanical options for sure
Is that poly fill the safe one to use or does it matter if it’s not aquarium rated
What kind of wavemaker do you use?. I want one for my malawi tank but the one i bought was to powerful you could almost surf on it 🏄♀️ I have an 350 aquatlantis volga
Does anyone know what tank the first guy has thanks?
I have a submersible pump in my 55g sand substrate tank. I put a Wavemaker and the pump sucks in the sand and makes a mess out of my overhead. Any advise? Thank you.
Subscribe! Thanks for the advice!
Thx for tip ive been over feeding my fish and it became cloudy i followed ur tips and it did not become cloudy
Love to hear that!
Using Ultra Crear Flocculant is safe for good bacteria?
Change Half the tank water, declorizes in a clean container, tap Water resting ❤😂🎉Overnight.
What kind of fish do you have?
And tip # 7 use the dirty fish water for plants 🤗
I've done all this. My water is normally crystal clear. 55g with 2 seachem tidal 110s and lots of filter floss. I've recently adding some anubias, jungle val, and Java ferns, done water changes and filter clean outs, butvits still cloudy. This is all new because my water is normally perfect. I add more plants and now it's more cloudy. It's had plenty of time to settle in and I've vacuumed the gravel twice. I just don't get it
Beautiful bala shark!
Thanks!
🐟♥️
Use chem green if you have live plants 🌱
Yep
Question for you Troy so I know you use Chemi pure blue. I prefer using Purigen because I can recharge it. Can you explain why you prefer Chemi pure blue mainly? I don't know if it's rechargeable. So cost wise I lean towards Purigen. Or maybe I'm confused about the benefits. Maybe you could do a video talking about the two.
Both are great options! I’ve preferred chemi pure slightly. Seems to work better and for longer, but that’s just my experience. Good idea for a video though!
I need help, i set up a new tank 4 days ago. Potting soil substrate covered by sand. I used api quickstart currently fishless. The water is yellow and smelly, i am worried. Is this just the bacteria or do i have a bigger problem? Thanks in advance
Did you remember to add lots of live plants in the tank? If not, that's probably your problem.
Best person to ask about dirt bottom tanks is @Father Fish
Plants. Plants. Plants. And more plants.
If you can. There are many tank setups - especially that with cichlids that could not grow plants
@@CichlidBros true. I just do nano fresh water tanks so plants galore is my secret lol.
I have a bala shark and he digs up the rocks making bacteria clowd his water
Clearview lids
You don’t need any type of mechanical filtration or chemicals, as long as you change your water on a schedule you’ll always have clear water
in your tank is that real plants? Or artificial?
Can u put the chemi pure In the tank whilst the fish are in the tank or do u have to take them out?
Yes definitely do it without taking the fish out
Not done a water change in over a year, no chemicals added and all my fish have never been happier breeding like crazy. I hope you found my tipp helpful?
Nope, I didn’t. And not a “tip”
I want to ask, why is my aquarium not as clear as yours??? I have bought a pretty balanced filter for my aquarium can you tell me what should i do, on my vespa the video that i uploud is not as clear as yours
👍
I never change my water. I often don’t even have filters or if the tank needs extra oxygen, a simple sponge filter. I just use around 4 inch of good substrate. Never had a problem.
Yeah trying doing that with big cichlids that eat plants. Context matters. 🤷🏻♂️
It's says on the bottle for reef and marine aquariums does thst really matter?
Nope
Water treatment
Hello guys what live plants do you have in the tank with the south american cichlids?
In one tank, anubias and Java fern
@@CichlidBros thanks for the reply
I have got to re do my tank it is so out of order the water is so bad and to many decor
Plant is live ?
Love your paid!!! I have an aquarium page as well! I would love your support!
The actual secret sauce that nobody talks about is cleaning the glass
Is perfect clear water the best thing for the fish?
If your tank is cycled and nitrates are low, then yes
Can any one tell me why my water turns green when I use black carbon ??
What is your tank dimensions
Few different tanks in the video. The South American tank is a 180g, 6x2x2 ft
Would you recommend shitting off the lights for 2-3 days with a blanket in it
What food you give to your geophagus because mine shows no interest in hikari food even
Here’s a full video on it!

@@CichlidBros thanks 😀
Pterophyllum and various other Amazonian species do not like high flow. Mentioning mechanical filtration is key
ChemiPure and Purigen are just another expensive add on.I overfeed raising fry.and juveniles I heavily planted tanks
Jonny Bairstow 🤔
Is this a saltwater or freshwater tank?
Freshwater
Before adding new fish to an tank, let the bags rest on top of the water, to aclamaid fish to Temperature, and to look around to the New Home You made.❤😂🎉❤😂😢
Just remember some fish can't have wavemakers lol. Especially bettas
Didn't say all.
@@CichlidBros I know but some people who are less knowlageable on fish will think they are good for all. I posted the comment for those peeps, I know you know.
How do I use chemi pure blue
Just rinse it off for a bit, and then put in your filter
@@CichlidBros thank you
Carbo!!!!! Done
This is cool for
Non natural tanks that are more for show
But cleaning a fish tank that much better and good for the fish
It’s not like someone cleans the water for them in nature..oh wait PLANTS!! 🎉
Most of my tanks have cichlids that destroy plants
As far as over feeding your fish. If you think you haven't fed them enough you've fed them to much.
😢 Have a leaking TEST BEFORE SETTING. WAIT for 2 days Before adding fish to the tank. Have Air bubbles track bar in a separate motor.
Have a side wall Termometer.
Your tank size
Don't need wave makers if ya filter is good...
I don’t agree. Many tanks would benefit even if filters are great
Ummmm no sé, solo puedo decir que con un buen sustrato (tierra) arena cubriendo mi sustrato y muchas muchas plantas, mis acuarios gozan de aguas limpias y peces sanos, nada de químicos
Yeah that works for a small percentage of fish, but none of the cichlids we keep would allow plants
Why no body talks about having activated carbon in your filteration system. It just takes 8 hours to have crystal clear water.
I did. Chemi pure
Biological filtration > then all
Chemo pure blue ,.; all it is a pumice stone broken into small pieces,. Folks u can buy pumice in bulk for Pennies !!! Instead of overpriced lil jars,. Lowe’s, Home Depot, these type places usually keep it stocked,..
Is crystal clear water healthy? Algae is very important for aquariums and it looks like u don’t have any
As long as your tank is cycled, yes - clear water is healthy. Algae is healthy for aquariums, and there will usually be some on decor of my tanks - just not over running them or in the water column
@@CichlidBros oh okay thank u 😊
If you have the right substrate and filtration you do not need to change your water 😭😭😭I have a tank that is over 3 years old, never changed the water just added it. Never get Algae, never get cloud water, no problems
Yeah a very specific type of tank setup that about 1% of aquarists choose to keep. One way isn’t the “right” way either. It’s preference.
Tip 6 : remove substrate out of your tank.
No thanks.
he changed into a different guy
Lol, three of us brothers run the channel
Did anyone tell you other than wife and mother that you’re extremely handsome photogenic and you like fish? How cool is that? If you were a fish you would be the first one in my tank grandma
Water changes is not true if its a natural aquarium.
Maybe learn context before commenting?
