going first shouldnt be a big problem, going second chimera is the problem
therefore lord of the heavenly prison is a very good card
besides that maybe ferret flames and miscellaneousaurus

How can I get my traps to activate during my opponent’s draw phase like in this video? My traps only activate on card effects and other spell/trap cards…

you have to toggle on to do so
go into settings -> duel -> activation confirmation -> switch + hold
in the opponents drawphase you toggle on by holding left click which allows you to use your cards
if you want to hide your handtraps/activations, hold right click to toggle off
if you dont want to hold your mouse buttons you can also just click in the down right corner on auto/on/off to permanentely adjust what settings you want

I know on your Masterduel Meta site you said that this deck is essentially almost unplayable going second, but is that against every deck or just certain matchups? and how well do you do against runicks?

decks that either make too many negates (adam, spyral) or are able to destroy my backrow in the endphase (branded) are problematic to go second against.
anyway, you could also play 2-3 lord of the heavenly prison to counter guardian chimera, i just didnt feel like i needed it against other matchups.
decks to which this criteria does not apply, however, can be defeated. stuff like flunder or runick.
i have a higher winrate with dinomorphia than with swordsoul against runick for example.
thats mostly due to the brave-eyes pendulum dragon which negates all runick monsters.
so i'd say its a decent matchup against runick, going first oder second.

@@Hello-rr1or as i said, i dont feel that it is much needed in this deck. also it doesnt change the gameplay just gives protection. it definitely helps vs branded but there are more decks on the ladder beside branded. id suggest to try it out yourself. you could also play stuff like overroot and ferret flames since you will have additional backrow protection with lord.
the way i build the deck, i dont care too much about backrow destruction as i just want to activate my backrow as soon as possible.
the only weak point is the time between setting the traps and the mainphase of my opponent in which i can activate them.

dinomorphia + a plethora of negates to back it up cause its weak… anyways; my icejade/umi deck will shut your deck down period.
(you better have a sh*t ton of handtraps & negate spells/traps)

@@amigonts i dont give those or copy them; thats for scrubs… i believe everyone should build their own decks from scratch instead of repetitively/systematically copying decks from somebody else or because a youtuber is promoting or using it
