Each time Brez loses by one vote in a Quarter Final I feel like he deserves to win the whole thing. 2021 and 2019 his two rounds were up there on my favorites.
Brez deserved the win not only for his flow but just for the simple fact he is showing true talent rocking the mk1 most loopers jumped ship to the mk2 true talent working limited tools and still rips the roof off!!

Also fun fact, Brez said that Rythmind told him after the battle that he felt weird saying what he said about Brez winning a competition for once, because Brez technically won more competitions than Rythmind on the loop but Rythmind won GBB. The MK1/MK2/Second device discourse is so tired. Extra devices means extra ways to make mistakes. It's literally looping on hard mode. Yeah, only having an MK1 is impressive, but it's also less impactful.
I think if he kept the same energy he started with it would’ve helped the delivery. He changed tempo as soon as he started singing and it went off from where it could’ve gone… amazing work regardless!

Can someone explain how he’s getting that kind of sound using only his voice? Is it “simply” distortion while he does the descending vocal notes? It just sounds INSANELY good and if I listened to it blind I’d have never guessed it was made with his voice
the sound design of this track is top tier definitely. the short melody is made using filter with distortion and reverb. and the arpegio was made with autotune and vocoder with distortion and reverb. that's why it sounds like a guitar
