sorry to be offtopic but does any of you know a trick to get back into an Instagram account? I was dumb lost my account password. I would appreciate any tips you can give me!
I'm 72 and after climbing the ladder of going up in larger bikes for 51 years from 50 to 1800cc I climbed back down the cc ladder and downsized to a '96 Helix 6 years ago and have never regretted it. I bought mine for $1200 and it is an identical red color perfect in appearance with 22k but the maintenance was lacking and behind for many years so I gave it a complete going over replacing all fluids, new clutch & variator, new tires, tune up parts, filters, etc, to bring it back to 100% total road worthy condition after spending another $1200, the Helix is so practical and reliable and fun to drive with it's lightweight 349 pounds, long wheelbase with a comfortable seat & rider stretched cruiser style leg position, centrifugal clutch with no shifting, windshield and body wind protection, digital mph display, easy maintenance under stressed 1 cylinder water cooled engine that can easily cruise at 60-65 mph all day long with a 70-75 top speed, 75 mpg, ample rear trunk storage, etc, etc. I've parted with all of my bikes over the years but I'm hanging on to my Helix until I die.
I'm really impressed. A guy who is so deep in the motorcycle business is referring so nicely about this scooter. Most bikers I know wrinkle their nose about scooters in common and this one in special. But I love mine. It's the best you can get for short distance commuting. But it also has it's streghts on longer trips. The short meantime between oil changes is due to the low quantity of motor oil. 800cc when you just change it, 1200cc after engine rebuild.
I just recently sold a Reflex and bought a Helix. The Helix is twice the bike of the Reflex. The Helix is more comfortable, it smoothes out bumps in the road where on the Reflex you felt every crack. Helix is just a much better bike period.
At 4:33 you say to change oil every 2,500 miles but its actully 1,000 the oil indicator will change from green to red at exactly 1,000 miles letting you no hey change the oil
Great Shape!! I owned a Black Helix ...bought Her brand spanking new back in 1994 and rode the Balls off of it. I love Scooters!! I recently bought a 2006 Yamaha Morphous which is technologically more advanced and performance wise an all around better Scooter than the Helix although the Helix has a better resale value and larger following..... That Helix wont be around long once it goes up for Auction.!! Btw...My 2006 Yami Morphous was like new....less than 3k mi in storage 10 years....I offered $1700 to the dealer who had it on Consignment for $2395.....Owner accepted....So I own a Work of Art for $1700 + $350 Door to Door shipping..... I get many negative , nasty comments from alot of Troll Douchebags out there who go out of their way to call it the Ugliest thing around or unmanly..... I think its Gorgeous....and besides my love of Vintage 70's Enduros....the difference between being a Scooter afficionado ...riding and owning a Scooter as opposed to riding and owning a " Motorcycle " have about as much in common as do a Hot Dog and a Warm Puppy!!! Great Video!! Love All your Bikes Ken!!!
If you cut out a swatch of material from a fuzzy stuffed animal , and glue it around the microphone port on your camera , it will reduce , if not eliminate any wind noise while your recording . I used the very end of the tail of a lifelike raccoon stuffed animal , and it works wonderfully . Give it a try … = )
I almost forgot to tell you my moped joke ! /°(-_-)°\ What do fat chicks , and mopeds have in common ? They're all fun and games , until you get caught riding one . = D lol = )
Man, you look just like Hugh Jackman and would make one hell of a "Wolverine". Just can't imagine "Wolverine" on a scooter, though. Lol. I have a 2014 honda forza which is a newer version of this particular bike and I love it. I am sure I'd like this one, too. There is one for sale locally for $900. It's a 2001. I may look into it.
I have a '99 Helix and I'll sell it to anyone who wants to pay $10,000 for it. Are you insane? These go for under $3000, and that's on the high end. Most of them go for under $2000.
I get comments like this all the time about my 2006 Yamaha Morphous 250. Guys who " Dick Measure " their Rides dont appreciate that these Scooters have a Cult Following.....They arent purchased because of a lack of Money or Testosterone..... but because they are COOL!!!
From 5:47 - 6:09 some of the wisest, most eloquent comments made and I was surprised he felt that way. Made me want to buy one now.
I agree, I actually slowed it down to be sure I would not miss any of it.
I saw this and waited for it... Can't even
I to was amazed by his wisdom and knowledge of the fate of the universe along with the meaning of life, I have been moved.

Honda will run forever. This scooter is much sought after nowadays.
Just bought one out of Iowa from the original owner with 1340 miles on it. He kept it in his dining room during the cold months seriously.
Love the helix I have an 87 with 8000 miles on it they are a joy to ride and good for over 100,000 miles
I have a '92 Helix with over 40,000 miles so far. Love it!
Me too. Awesome
I have a 2000 with 12,500 miles and I love it!
That audio quality during the ride...WOW.
I just got me a 1987 looks identical to this one. Im 6'3 330lbs and mine will go 70mph with me. Mine has 25k miles and still runs like a top.
I'm literally the same height/weight as you are, with a 1996 Helix and mine hits between 70-77 depending on driving conditions. Thing is a beast.

My god, imagine this guy on a sales floor.
This guy is awesome, a motorcyclist who isn’t insecure like many “riders” that thumb their noses at scooters.
My favorite part was when he rode around for 7 minutes and all you could hear was the wind.
We just found Hugh Jackman's replacement for Wolverine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
