Jonathan Groff is definitely a Disney prince personified. He's gracious, good sense of humor, down to earth. This is one of my favorite interviews. I watch it often.

Okay after watching Groff in a multitude of settings, I’ve decided that he’s an energy matcher. He has an uncanny ability to have chemistry with damn near anyone, which creates SUCH an entertaining vibe. Class act.

I met him when he was in little shop of horrors. Husband and I went to the restaurant next door to that theater after Katherine mcgees 2nd to last performance of what was supposed to be the end of waitress. This man is by far the kindest most humble celebrity I'd ever met, and I've met quite a few before I moved from the NYC area.

I can't explain how excited I am to watch Matrix because of Groff. Glee, Hamilton, Frozen, Mind Hunter- There is nothing this guy can't do! He's phenomenal in every role he takes on!
Groff talks with such a gentle inflection and his chuckle is divine. I would LOVE to see (and hear) him in a full on rage!

Saw him in Little Shop of Horrors shortly after they announced him in the film. He couldn't tell us after what part he had, but so happy for him in this role. He kicks *ss!
In photos, he looked jacked for Little Shop lol little did we know he was fight training!

rewatched the matrix resurrections last night for the 5th time and groff is a PERFECT fit for smith, he carried a lot of that unhinged energy that he had in mindhunter. what i'm about to say sounds far fetched, but he seriously deserves an oscar nomination for acting his ass off in the amount of screen time he had.
I love this kid! Such a brilliant performer and clearly a terrific dude. ✌🏾🤟🏾

Stage choreography is like sex in that you have an understanding with your partner(s) that you'll only go as intensely as all participants are comfortable with. And in stage fighting the person getting hit and taking the fall is for safety reasons the one who is actually in control of the physical interaction. This is similar to any power dynamics in the bedroom, the submissive participant actually has the power to decide how far things go and which acts the dominant participant can do with them, again this is for safety/comfort reasons.
In both activities there's an illusion of lack of control, maybe of aggression, but ultimately the priority is that everyone is safe and comfortable with the physical acts they're participating in.
There are also similar hormonal responses in stage fighting as with sex, both trigger adrenaline and dopamine, both require a good understanding of what your partner(s) body/bodies can and cannot do, both can conjure very strong emotions, both are collaborative physical acts, and both require a lot of trust.
I'm sure there are more parallels, but that's all I can think of at the moment and it should suffice.

I've been a huge fan since Looking!
The original Matrix isn’t rated R because of any sex scene- there isn’t any. The violence is PG-13 too. It’s rated R because of the RATM song in the end credits, which uses the f word too many times. I never knew that until today.
There is a decent amount of violence in it too.
The violence did inspire the guys who went on a shooting rampage at Columbine High School. They wanted to be cool like the characters in the Matrix.

I'm not saying that the Matrix is to blame for the Columbine massacre, but when the event happened, news reported students saying that the two killers had seen The Matrix and raved about it and the way they behaved, it did seem like they may have been mimicking moves they saw in the film.
