And if it is announced that the first copies will appear soon, then it is certain that the first pair of these free aircraft over Ukraine can be expected very soon, and as for the more advanced phase of this project, it will probably be held for the next ones

    This drone will be ok if: will be invisible on radar, will be able to fly on hight altitude, will have long range action. It has reactive engine, which will be more easy for enemy to detect because of noise and heat. So it will be hard to use as monitoring tool. But if it can fly without be possible to be detected on radar or to be attacked by rockets maybe will be a good platform to launch attacks or to guide missiles.

  • @fallometr
    @fallometr 11 дней назад

    The biggest problem of this project is the cost and complexity of building each such drone (only slightly cheaper and simpler than some MiG-29). But of course it will be useful to the army, especially when flying near air defense saturated areas.

    I am surprised that the S 70’s engine is so exposed. One would think that the designers would have tried to place its power plant entirely within its fuselage in order to reduce its infra red signature like one sees in the American B 2 Spirit stealth bomber? The fact that the S 70’s jet pipe is so exposed makes it vulnerable infra red missiles. This design flaw also makes this design subject to long range IRST detection if an enemy fighter is positioned in its rear quadrant. This omission will adversely affect the S 70’s overall stealthiness.

      it is exposed for prototype versions, on production models the exhaust is flattened similar to the f-22 and the exhaust will be hidden and cooled while passing through heat conductive material after combustion similar to the yf-23 or b-2/b-21.

    The S-70 look like the Chinese CH-7 heavy stealth drones. I believe Russia has obtained the critical components from China for full production. Since China have highly advanced stealth recon and attack drones in service such as WZ-7 and GJ-11. Why didn't US use its stealth drones in Ukraine? This is puzzling.

      no, the Russians spent too long preparing for a nuclear war and did not bother with a long-range digital communications system.
