what you are playing is from G Major7 to G7 not minor 7th

There is a G Major7 at the end of 1st verse, also at the end of verses 2 and 3 ... but the G Major 7 in both instances changes to G7. The F# goes to an F ... In Verse 2 - leading to the chorus (C chord); Verse 3 - the F is used to modulate to Ab ... the F is a common tone to start the melody in Ab. I must have not made that clear in the video :/ Good observation :)
