I played this game once four years ago during a tipsy birthday stream. So, lucky for me, I don't remember too much! What I do remember is that two out of four characters died, almost directly at the end. Hopefully, this time they all get to live?

The very wide range of of endings in all the playthroughs I've done or seen of this game still amazes me.
I LOVE Games like these because of that!
For starters, having never heard of this game until now, I am utterly blown away by it, seriously stunned. As for your playthrough, Lizz, from the bottom of my heart, I want to thank you for the laughs, as well as the tears. You truly entertained as much as this game did both with style and originality. I hear a LOT of good stuff from folks about Quantic Dream Games.. I got Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls as well, I HAVE to play them. Maybe even Fahrenheit!

Got through this entire gameplay series lord so many emotions and anxiety ugh 😫 but the way you went about this I loved every minute of it I think my absolute favorite part is when you choose to sing towards the end of the stand off. And you getting so into with wanting things to work out Is why I love watching you're channel

😄 In my PT, I figured out Alice is an android after Kara escaped with her. How? She didn't behave like a child would. Able to simulate illness, tiredness but not hunger or thirst. A child would seek solace in an object, a person, a place or a pet in a home with abusive parents. Alice never lamented that she missed that item that gave her comfort. And of course as this is a game about androids, every person is suspect. 😁 Great PT. Enjoyed your vids. 👍👍
I dunno, as a deeply traumatized kid, she could act unpredictable. Also, you never know for certain if it's intended like this by the developers, or an oversight by them.

@@LIZZgame I think Alice had already seen the worst; Kara's first initial accident. I think Todd was responsible for it. I should think the incident took place outside. Kara was trying to protect Alice and she was badly damaged. Her memory was wiped in the repair process. Alice was already traumatised when Kara returned to the household.
You're an amazing RUclipsr. You make great analyses of the situations and you are so emotionally invested. This is a great game too. I also cried playing it.

As you say it raises some really interesting questions and there are a lot to serious issues raised that need thinking about. I have to admit to liking the lack of zombies too (I'm too wussie for horror stuff).
I've watched you play Legacy, Jedi and Avatar and now, between this and finding the clip of funnies from your playthrough of Stray I'm sold on acquiring an X-box/playstation and joining in with the fun (if I can take the 'emotional damage). Christmas is coming.

@@LIZZgame No Idea Lizz, given that the last games I tried to play were the original 80's Space Invaders and Pacman. I'll probably have to grab a 12 year old off the street and ask them. My son seems happy with his X-box so he'll probably say PS5 so he can have access to both :D

This area where the last standoff is really looks like this in downtown Detroit. The spirit of Detroit statue. The Joe Louis fist. Hart Plaza... Woodward Ave lol Woodward and Jefferson cross. Detroit gets a lot of crap. But I love my city. And I'm still not over such a huge game being set here

At the Carl peace place Marcus met with Leo, that met showing that android have more humanity than human itself (Leo). What a dope cool story like a movie.
I don't remember half the stuff from your playthrough, I feel like I have to play it again now 😄 Kira's story is heartbreaking though.

In my playthrough I figured humans were never going to understand, so I decided to take the fight to them. And things were going really well at first, but then there's this segment where you have to fight behind cover and the controls got really weird. I didn't understand what I had to do, so it all went down hill and I almost died. I was pushed back into some warehouse. Luckily I still had the nuke that North gave me, so we decided to nuke the city... And since humans are affected by the radiation, they couldn't come near and thus the city was pretty much ours. The president had to admit defeat for now and said they had to reconsider things... So yeah, It's been years since I played it but that's about what I remember from my ending.
Anyway, it's an amazing game and I really enjoyed watching the different choices people made. I noticed that most people tried to go the peaceful route though. Which was different from me. But regardless of what choices you make, it's a really good game. The way I see it, it's basically got 3 stories, a romance, a bromance, and I guess just a family. Since I'm all about the romance, my favorite characters were probably Markus and North but I think Connor and Hank were the most popular duo overall.
If you look back Alice never not even once actually ate anything. As far as being cold they can get cold since in the escape by boat scene it's possible that they die from the cold water. I think certain models may not be susceptible to cold maybe.

Contrary to chat in 1:07:23 you were actually spot on in what you stated about the boat scene. If you make no progress with Connor by failing every mission thereby collecting no evidence for the evidence room, you are taken off the case. Also by not completing any mission, you never get a chance to develop a relationship with Hank or he just looks down on you cause you suck as a partner so he has no problem with being taken off the case himself in the end. You never find the boat so the speech is given on Jericho instead of the sacred place and play continues the rest of the game without Connor or Hank which sucks.

Yes!!! Play heavy rain and beyond two souls! But there’s also 2 more games by quantic dream. Omicron and indigo prophecy. (Also known as Fahrenheit.) great games as well! 😃

I love that song Markus and the other androids sing at the end. I would love to hear you sing it. In my playthrough, I decided to kiss North at the end. They both essentially end up having the same effect if public opinion is supportive enough. I had two reasons for deciding to kiss north. The first was that If I were going to die, I would want to spend my last moments in the embrace of the one I love. The second was that I thought it would help sway public opinion in favor of the cause to witness an act of love. It was only when watching somebody else's playthrough that I heard that song. I sing it myself sometimes while I'm working.
The great thing about this game is it really does have a lot of divergent paths. I think I've watched about 8 people play this one. Some had similarities but some were drastically different. I've never seen a 100% saved everyone which does exist. Pewdepie made one mistake that had Kara and Alice end up in a android concentration death camp stripped of their hair and clothes. Really dark ending. Heck, it was real easy to get both of them killed early on which happened in a few plays I watched. Lots of games claim to have major consequences for your actions but this one has to be near the top for actually showing real consequences.
This game was my best gaming experience a ten years ago. I felt something new. Not just that amazing futuristic world with stunning graphic design. Very detailed storyline, three different character personality with a lot of drama. Memorable npc characters. There is more philosophy in moral questions. Of course i played first with my own decisions when choiced routes. After that i played all routes and ending. I thinking that Fallout series using this mechanism now. They used three character dramas individually and their path crossed in a point. 🤔

Has been a great gameplay; i wasn't sure at the begining, it's not my kind of game even if remind me of the 1st Blade Runner, but has been nice and you made it more interesting, i'd liked it.

Kara's story just never ends.
You escape Jericho.
Then you have to get to the bus.
Then you have to get through customs.
I was skeptical that walking out of customs was the end point of their tale.
Fun fact: During the Androids singing, it's not Markus's VA singing, it's Luther's. :3

another great play through on part 6 i really enjoyed you playing this game as the game in self it great game but just watching you play and see what choice are made and path you in is great as well . i was absolutely gutted first time i played and got kara and alice killed in the camps. i am really looking forward to when you do beyond 2 souls and heavy rain there is a few others i would love to see you do as well if you ever get time if you have not already done them The Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope

It’s good to see that you’re human. This game and other things in our media test our humanity. It’s interesting to see in movie and game reviews how different people respond and honestly one could probably diagnose psychological problems based upon these videos alone and their reviewers reactions. When I see people actually have strong emotional reactions to sad things or extremely tough ethical decisions, It gives me a bit of hope for humanity - which this game focuses upon.

You got marcus and north to, instead of kissing to convince the nation, they can sing a song. I have never seen that. Now I have inappropriate thoughts of detroit become musical.
What I don't get is the abusive "father" living with androids. It's kinda wierd.
he scares and pushes everyone who is "alive" away with his abusive behavior. He basically purchased humanoid beings that he can abuse and have repaired and reset when he wants.
@@LIZZgameThat’s not the reason why. All I can say is since I’ve played this game around 20 or 30 times I have done almost all the decisions so I know the reason. I have to speak vaguely I don’t want to spoil it for anyone.

I look at you: you are young, beautiful, have a good shape, a nice personality, go in for sports, have the opportunity to do what you like. Looks like you have a good life. But there is something sad about that - it's all temporary. No matter how long and wonderful life is, it will end one day. We will die and we don't have the technology to "upload" our personality into a new body, as was the case with Connor. But another path is open to us. Jesus Christ proclaimed that He knows how to conquer death and enjoy eternal life with God. He promised salvation to everyone who would trust Him. According to the testimony of His many disciples, Jesus was killed but rose from the dead on the third day. Many people believe that this is not true. However, I believe that they have come to this conclusion hastily, without having researched the subject thoroughly enough to judge correctly. And that's not wise, because we don't have many options that would allow us to live and enjoy our lives without time limits. You managed to reach the ending with Kara and Alice, which only 5% of players managed to achieve by making sensible decisions. I wish you to make wise decisions in your real life as well, because even fewer people reach the ending with God. Bless you, Liss

Those two died in my first run 4 years ago. I wanted to see something NEW, see what happens to them when they LIVE. And I did not want to replay the entire game for a mistake I did in the end.
