Lightning is not great, but it looks like MDF. With it being in a basement I personally would have primed it before install, especially the end sitting on the floor. MDF is easy to work with, but is VERY susceptible to moisture.
@@moeadeeb2862 Yes it was MDF and I believe he even said that in the video too. Wouldn’t be too worried about moisture either in a finished basement and this looks like it was. Moisture issues are usually more of a problem with unfinished basements.
No details just done a video for the sake of it Where to get wood How did you get it cut How much does it cost How long does it took to install Thumbnail image is finished but no video..
Not a "false beam." It's just a wrap for a metal support that's literally holding up the house. Nobody's dumb enough to think they could hook a hammock up on a basement support beam.
How did you fasten it to the post??
What a great method! Thank you for filming this!!
Wow that’s great
Love it. It looks easy, DIY. Thanks 😊
No blocking around the column?
You should show people how you secure it as well. The average DIY person wouldn't know what steps to take to ensure that wrap doesn't move.
ruclips.net/video/h40amsYQt6U/видео.html this is the best method I have seen so far.
My question exactly, I'm doing one now, I used no more nails for 1 box, wanna try expanding foam for the other
What is the thickness of the MDF board you used to cut the four sides?
Looks to be 3/4”.
Great idea!
Thanks!
where did you get that pre-cut wood?
what kind of boards are those?

The next homeowners are going to hook hammock on those false beams and break their back
