    A true master, even a novice can understand how hard it is to get this good. Very inspiring, makes me want to get into this kind of woodworking, albeit more simple than this work. That piece is just out of the park impressive

    A beautiful piece and amazing to watch you work. I used to design puppets and characters for TV and movies and could picture them three-dimensionally and draw them from all angles, but I cannot understand how you see "into" the linden wood to release the intricate shapes of your design. A wonderful talent. Thank you for your video.

    Incredibly beautiful work. Would have loved to see how you blocked it out first too. You are very talented. I love carving and watching it, but here in NZ we don't have such fine grained wood.

    a beautiful art form to say the least. I have always wanted to try my hand at this only on a much smaller scale of course.
    any advice? what tools should I get with out breaking the bank? and what wood do you use? how do you source it?
    thank you so much for your work! the world could use more craftsmen such as yourself

    • @TTTopDotCom
      @TTTopDotCom  8 лет назад

      +tabuma f Begin with small objects, ask people in a tool store they can advise you, you can start with lime wood
      wish you all the best in 2016

    Beautiful work! How are the "voids" cut out? I can't see doing this with a bandsaw.

  • @luisdiaz00
    @luisdiaz00 8 лет назад

    Tico! Very beautiful. As a matter of fact you have inspired me to carve. May I ask one question? What tool do you use to cut out the space between the leaves? I noticed the wood you are using is very thick and would not fit a powered scroll saw. Are you using a hand scroll saw?
    Congratulations on your masterful work.
    Happy 2016.

    • @TTTopDotCom
      @TTTopDotCom  8 лет назад

      +Luis Diaz Thank you for watching, I used a bandsaw. But you can try it with a powered scroll saw with long blades.
      Success with the carving.

  • @СергейКрамаренко-б3в

    Хорошая работа. Красивый орнамент. Но, я бы позаимствовал мастеру терпения, для того, чтобы Он закончил работу - довел шлифовку до нужного уровня, а потом уже отдавал под покраску.

      +TTTopDotCom ...its awfully hard for a lime wood.. is it the same as bass wood or linden? because dictionary tramslates lime wood as the same type of tree in my native language
