- I love collections of trees on a table, bookcase, or mantel. They're suitable for the entire winter season! I had so much fun making these four trees (plus three fun bonus trees)! Come have fun crafting this DIY project with me!

A commenter asked which saw is best! I'd say choose a saw based on the size of the wood -- what you can saw safely, first, and also choose saw teeth small enough that they won't chew up your wood. Here is the yellow mitre box and handsaw I use, by Stanley:

I wish you had them, too! I try to make crafts with items that anybody can obtain because I think it's more fun if people can actually make the craft, but unfortunately there's no real universal resource (unless it's amazon). I'm sure you can find wooden snowflake decorations and paint sticks, but the peel-and-stick tiles might be more expensive.

The triangle with the snowflakes, all white was my favorite.
I was thinking the pool noodle trees would be cute in a bathroom or, if some one is lucky enough to have a pool house, or who decorates their pool area, they would be cute included in those decorations. And what about floating tree-like candle holders! Just some ideas how to use the pool noodle trees.

Oddly enough, I just recently bought the little wood snowflakes you used in the 1st tree along with 2 large ones to use with the spray bleach method onto shirts for my grandkids!! My first thought was when you added the frame around the base was to put little presents in the tray it created! The ceiling tin put onto the brown tree background was really pretty. And the pool noodle trees-how fun for the kids 😊

I also like putting out collections as decorations. Trees are one of the items I put out. I am always looking for interesting ideas and this one in this video is that! I do not have a mantle but a shelf in my kitchen which lends itself to be ideal as a place to put collections for Christmas. I am very thrilled with the idea of using the tin tile to create a tree. I see them in the dollar store and want them as a back slash for my kitchen but feel even at a dollar plus it would be too expensive. I live in an apartment where the hallway has this faux tin wallpaper and always thinking of ideas for how to incorporate it into a craft I create. Thanks for the inspiration. Now that I have this idea they probably won't have any of these tiles left. With hope they will have them for they will surely look great on my shelf. Also, I like how you used the corners for another tree idea. that will be incorporated into my collection as well.
I'm so glad you liked the tin tile ideas! I was soooo excited when I first saw them. Now, I was at a DT a few days ago (big surprise) and not only did they have the grey ones, but they had pretty blue and white ones that looked almost like Delft and I think there was another color combination. So I'll bet you'll find them -- but I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!! :D

I like the vintage looking tin wrap ones and the wooden snowflake the best, but those are my aesthetic. I am not a fan of modern but they were cute.
