ABOUT THE GAME:
Dead Cells is a rogue-lite, metroidvania inspired, action-platformer. You'll explore a sprawling, ever-changing castle... assuming you’re able to fight your way past its keepers in 2D souls-lite combat. No checkpoints. Kill, die, learn, repeat.
ABOUT THE STORY:
Roguelite? Metroidvania? Roguevania!
You grew up with the roguelikes, witnessed the rise of the roguelites and even the birth of the roguelite-lites? We'd now like to present for your consideration our RogueVania, the illegitimate child of a modern Roguelite (Rogue Legacy, Binding of Isaac, Enter the Gungeon, Spelunky, etc.) and an old-school MetroidVania (Castlevania: SotN and its ilk).
RogueVania: The progressive exploration of an interconnected world, with the replayability of a rogue-lite and the adrenaline pumping threat of permadeath.
2D Souls-lite Action: Tough but fair combat, more than fifty weapons and spells with unique gameplay, and of course, the emergency panic roll to get you out of trouble.
Nonlinear progression: Sewers, Ossuary or Remparts? Once unlocked, special permanent abilities allow you to access new paths to reach your objective. Opt for the path that suits your current build, your play style or just your mood.
Exploration: Secret rooms, hidden passages, charming landscapes. Take a moment to stroll the towers and breath in that fresh sea mist infused air...
Interconnected levels and progressive unlocking of access to the island provides you with a real incentive to explore your surroundings. Add in a degree of evolution for your character and permanent weapon upgrades and you can see where Dead Cells borrows from the long line of MetroidVanias that precede it.
At the end of the day though, it’s YOUR skills as a player that matter most! Roguelites are about constantly getting better, until what was an insurmountable obstacle becomes a walk in the park. Unforgiving combat wed to the absence of any kind of safety net makes for an adrenalin pumping ride each and every run and unrivaled replayability.

Some advice from one bro to another two, ik you record in sessions but meh help comes late sometimes
1. The blueprints you get are permanent but not necessarily showing start start of each game
2. Damage will increase if you upgrade the scroll (brutality, tactics, survival) of the same colour as weapon used
3. The weapon you have damage will increase with the roman numeral to the right of its name (not all have the same damage but damage increase according to the weapon itself not all)
4. The doors you're knocking on are boss cell doors, the circles are how many cells needed (boss cells obtained by defeating the final boss at the end, hand of the king)
5. People claim the game chaotic and hard based on the boss cell active right now you guys are on 0 and it goes up to 5 (for now)
Nows the hard part where things get interesting (this is for long term knowledge not necessarily gameplay for the channel, your choice)
The teleportation rune is located in toxic sewer location: prison >toxic sewers, vine rune required (youre gonna find a blue guy behind cells leading you to an elite fight, not guaranteed to find him first time but its a start)
After that is the ram rune, it lets you down smash orange platforms, location: prison> promenade of the condemned (use teleporter to the left)> ossuary (the entire area will be hard for you chris, good luck on that, and you dont even have boss cells yet)
Finally is the spider rune, allows wall climbing location: prison> toxic sewers> ancient sewers> insufferable crypt (a hard boss, use a shield)> slumbering sanctuary
These are in chronological order of obtaining, would of added vine but you already got that, good luck on your gameplay boys. I wish you the best chris
Blaze, this is honestly some of the best advice ever. -Chris
@@TenMoreMinutes no prob man, good luck on your gameplay
I like that they survived for more than 40 minutes in their first run of the game... thats absurd
That's just how we do. -Chris
@@TenMoreMinutes well that's amazing
4:27 says „wasted that one“ and throws one of the strongest items in the game away XD
Fr best item imo
I am honestly amazed that these guys don’t get more views and likes. This is a very straight forward channel that is very fun to watch!
Thank you for your kind words Cy! We take pride in the fun we have here. Consider sharing us with friends and we can grow together! -Chris
So true my dude
The weapons blueprints you unlock enables it to find them anywhere, like as drops and in chests. Also you gan groundpound if you jump down while in the air.
Good to know. Thanks Koen. -Chris
Twin daggers are one of my favorite weapons. They're so quick, and there's a mod to make them even faster which is a lot of fun.
Also, you can downward smash from any high place, and there's no fall damage. It just stuns you for a minute.
You can avoid the stun if you roll mid-air!
Quality let’s plays as always my boys
I love watching you play and discover things for the first time. You do the same thing that I was doing when I first started playing the game - knocking on the doors. ;D My favorite weapons are the swords and bows. Some people love the shields. I have tried them, but I just really like using the swords and bows more. And those purple guys with the shields are a real pain in the butt! The thing that I don't like about the tonic is that after you use it you essentially only have an empty slot until you reach the end of the area and go to the Collector. So it's like you are short a weapon until you replenish it. Nice episode, Chris! I can tell that you are really enjoying the game and that's awesome!
Dude this second guy just saying all this completely incorrect shit and asserting himself as if he knows he’s absolutely correct is so irritating.
late lol but i was literally thinking the same thing while watching. why tf do they act so confident when neither of them have played before? and they also make guesses/predictions that make no sense. some stuff you can figure out as a gamer just from patterns in other games and basically universal video game conventions but its like these guys have never played a game before
yeah it's infuriating but I assume he's only trying to help and figure it out along with him by making guesses that are unfortunately unhelpful.
Sandals actually op.
Doing drugs heals you and makes you invincible!??! Brb gonna shoot up some speed.
With the power of narcotics I SHALL BECOME GOD!!!
I mean... think about all the crackheads in Florida that prove that point. -Chris
@@TenMoreMinutes I WILL RULE OVER THEM AS HEAD OF THE PANTHEON!!
Your current build is pretty solid, I like really like double dagger weapons in games.
Same. I’m pretty fond of the aesthetic of it. -Chris
Spooky
