I seem to remember seeing Yoongi fall and land kind of weird one time back before they changed it... I immediately thought of his shoulder injury from that motorcycle accident he had back when he had a part time job delivering.... apparently it's still an issue for him, because they reference it in the "interlude: shadow" comeback trailer they just released... you can see a sticker on his left shoulder when he's wearing his off-white outfit in the beginning...it's just some geometric blue lines on a white background, but I think it's referring to the bones in his shoulder being injured...
I think the censorships are mainly for overly sexy dance moves, talking about sex or anything in that area. Talking about wine isn't something they would censor especially because in South Korea drinking isn't looked down upon at all, it's even encouraged and a way to "make friends" or "get to know someone better" "Suga's so tiny" He may be tiny compared to the other members but in reality he's actually 5'7" which isn't overly tall for a male but still on the taller side, especially for someone like me who is 5'2" LOL Watch at 13:24 of this video when BTS all sit down, Jimin's chair is ALWAYS late in this part of the choreo which means he is air squatting at least until it gets there while making it look totally natural.... I'm shooketh!
Yeah the fall in Dionysus hurt alot of them... I know for a fact jungkook hit his head a couple times but I think jimin got hurt as well... I miss that part of it so much but i glad they changed it so they don't get hurt anymore!!!
I love seeing your reactions. I like it so much when you share all that knowledge about dance and music and all those things. Thank u so much for putting your energy into making videos, I enjoy them A LOT. Lots of love!!
I think it didn't get censored because of the metaphorical nature of the "shots". They're talking about getting drunk on the artistic impulse, or the art. As far as the plank drop, I remember specifically in one of the earliest performances, we saw in some of the fancams that JK dropped and SLAMMED his chin on the stage. I suspect that as you said, there were more and more injuries of that sort, so they finally changed it. If you notice too... I have no idea how to describe the move. LOL When they're kind of swinging, throwing their elbows to the side? You pointed out that only Jimin was doing it one time, and then the others did it. ANYWAY... you might notice that move is NOT done as hard as it was in earlier performances, when they were literally jamming their heads/necks and arms. That has softened, which is especially noticeable with Jimin. I know he has serious issues with his neck and left shoulder/upper back, so I wonder if that's part of the reason they softened those hits a little bit. Doesn't matter, it's still FIRE! LOL Thank you for the reaction!
Alcohol as a subject matter wouldn't be censored in Korea since drinking (even over-drinking) is normalized culture. Even the elementary students I used to teach would openly ask my Korean co-worker if she was going drinking after work and who she was going to drink with. My students would also let me know if their parents drank soju 😅In Japan, it was crazy to see my boss and superiors at work staggering home drunk after our company dinners. 😂
YES THE LAST SUPPER I know he’s like the most famous painter in the world but I freaking love Leonardo Davinci I did a project on him and I just love him I just love art in general
Heya, this was such an informative and interesting watch! Thanks :) (Also, don’t worry about your ironman metaphor lol it was funny. And I think they might’ve changed that move because it was too tiring to do live, especially for the vocalists who have to sing and dance the high-energy chorus part right after. Overall the choreography is super dangerous and risky so I’m glad they made some affordances. The choreographer is Sienna Lalau fyi! *She also choreographed for their latest single On.)
8:30 its probably because south korea has a HUGE drinking culture... From age 19 (korean age so actually they would be 18) you can drink however much and however often you want...
it's because the song is not about literally being drunk. lyrics talk about metaphor that art=wine. idk why people talk about the meaning of the song without actually reading what the song is about
You should watch the "CHOREOGRAPHY BTS 2019 mma dionysus intro" the intro to this performance was AMAZING(especially the LIVE i think you should react to the live version rather then the dance practice)
I always enjoy your reactions! I get hyped along with you lol. Speaking of choreography routines where props are well-used, Seventeen's Pretty U dance practice is worth checking out (whether on your own time or via a reaction). I think you'd like that one if you haven't seen it yet ^-^
I don’t know if you noticed but when RM and Jin danced on the table, when Yoongi came up, Jin and RM fell backwards and switched with Taehyung and...was it Jungkook? I don’t remember, but I find that bit amazing how right after they catch them the next two are up
Can you please react to Dreams Come True, My I, Lilili Yabbay all by seventeen And also home and getting closer but the others first It would literally make me so freaking happy LOVE YOUUUUUU ♥️
The lyrics and choreo related to alcohol are not changed because drinking is a big part of the culture. Not just Korea but many other countries. Sexy concepts are changed or censored because they are considered lewd, inappropriate, etc. it’s honestly just a cultural difference as contrasted to the west, the east is more conservative. But I have noticed that it’s starting to get more lenient. This was just my perspective and thoughts. I’m not 100% sure.
yeah, I wondering that too why they had to change that plank drop move...I heard one of them did get minor injury or almost did from it but I don’t remember who, it’s understandable they had to change it but i am abit upset because it’s impressive daring move!
i think they changed from falling to iron man landing just to save some energy as they had already performed like 2-3 songs before dionysus and it would be too hard especially due to the upcoming dance break...i would not be surprised if they revert back to the original choreo but i hope they dont cuz we have already seen one of them get hurt
The part you said is your favorite part od the choreo, where they all sit down at the end, i ALWAYS look at Jin. He just always draws my eyes during that part. :)
I wonder who came up with the prop ideas? Also I liked the original choreo where they fell down to the push-up position. They don’t do it anymore , but was hoping at least do it for Mama or MMA
Reason I like that move is B.A.P used to do that similar falling to push up move in all their performances granted they were just falling from a standing position instead of turning to a falling position. They have a good technique ruclips.net/video/HznJNV-B8QM/видео.html
A little suggestion :) Maybe it would be a good idea to distinguish between a review and a reaction, because with a reaction I expect it to be a first fresh view of the piece and calling this video a react video is a bit misleading. The review is great though! Is nice that you provided some more background info e.g. about the African origin of the part of the choreo plus it was cool that you knew that the choreo changed and you also discussed that ^^ So my suggestion is to title a video a reaction when it's a first view and a review when you've already seen it, so we know what to expect :)
This song isn't actually about Dionysus, as such, but it is definitely appropriately named because the lyrics are all about partying and getting drunk. XD
The reason this song didn't get censored, or edited, or banned, is because even though Korea is a conservative country, they accept alcohol as a part of adult society. They really only censor overt sexual themes in music and music videos...which, in my opinion, is completely justified. Sexual liberation is absolutely not all it's cracked up to be... just look at the result of it in western countries... British doctors are over-diagnosing children as being "trans,"(look it up, it's public knowledge) and putting them on hormone blockers and inadvertently chemically castrating these children, who will never have the choice to have children when they grow older...
The lyrics are talking about getting drunk but in art. It's a whole metaphor.
Yup, it's drunk in art. That's why it passed cencorship. Lol
i guess it is kind of off topic but do anybody know of a good site to watch newly released tv shows online ?
@Israel Bryce Flixportal =)
@Ashton Hugh thank you, I signed up and it seems like they got a lot of movies there :D Appreciate it !!
@Israel Bryce Happy to help :)
Yeah they had to change it cause they kept getting injured.

"Suga's so tiny" He may be tiny compared to the other members but in reality he's actually 5'7" which isn't overly tall for a male but still on the taller side, especially for someone like me who is 5'2" LOL

isn't he 5'8 or 9??
@@sstarmice I remember others saying he's 5'9 while Jimin is 5'8... 😅
@@riality7302 they're a cm apart, not an inch apart lmao. they're pretty much the same height
I noticed in the GDA perfomance this month Jimins chair was pushed late again.
Yeah the fall in Dionysus hurt alot of them... I know for a fact jungkook hit his head a couple times but I think jimin got hurt as well... I miss that part of it so much but i glad they changed it so they don't get hurt anymore!!!
also taehyung said that he was scared of doing the fall, which if that happens, you should definitely reconsider the move
you should watch the intro for this performance.
I love seeing your reactions. I like it so much when you share all that knowledge about dance and music and all those things. Thank u so much for putting your energy into making videos, I enjoy them A LOT. Lots of love!!
You constantly praising hobi for his dance skill brings such joy to my heart 💖
Glad to see you decided to keep uploading!
if you haven’t already highly recommend their dionysus intro dance practice where they do their solo dances

10:12 she mentioned about the "Last Supper".

Yoongi is so tiny and cute with his gummy smile 🥰❤️🤯
Watch the intro for this performance, live and practice!
Still my favorite BTS dance practice video is Danger.

on one of the music shows Jungkook has literally bounced his chin on the floor :( there were at least 2 or 3 times memebrs got hurt during that move

I doubt it. the stopped doing at after promotions and after members got hurt doing it. I dont think they are ever going back to it
Did you upgrade your camera? Vid looks very nice
The part you said is your favorite part od the choreo, where they all sit down at the end, i ALWAYS look at Jin. He just always draws my eyes during that part. :)
is it okay if you react to their MMA solo performance dance practice????
I wonder who came up with the prop ideas? Also I liked the original choreo where they fell down to the push-up position. They don’t do it anymore , but was hoping at least do it for Mama or MMA
I believe that JK hit his chin during a practice. I don't know if you are aware, but if the chin is hit in a "sweet spot" it can lead to a concussion.
I understand why they didn’t do it, but was hoping they would do it once for either MMA or MAMA since they are major award shows.
Reason I like that move is B.A.P used to do that similar falling to push up move in all their performances granted they were just falling from a standing position instead of turning to a falling position. They have a good technique

@@inquisitvem6723 Yes, I liked that move too, but concussions can be career ending, so sadly a sound decision.
Please react to BTS’ Black Swan art film. Thanks.
i think drinking in korean culture is pretty normalized, they drink on camera and talk about it somewhat regularly.
Please do the intro too
Hello, can you please react to Black Swan? I desperately want to know what dancers think of the art film.
Wasnt the one with white shirt at 12:35 ish that you said was yoongi wasnt he actually jin? Lol
I don’t think so, I can recognize all the members rlly easily so it was probably just confusing with the video :)
Please reacts to bts new album shadow song 2020

Drunk in art. Not alcoholics
I heard some 18 yr old came up with choreo
This song isn't actually about Dionysus, as such, but it is definitely appropriately named because the lyrics are all about partying and getting drunk. XD
have you atually read the lyrics? it's not about partying or getting drunk literally. the whole song makes the metahor of getting drunk on art
