This was taken about 5 months before I left Conrail to work for NJ Transit Rail Operations. I hated to leave Conrail, but with the constant threats of furloughs, mergers and downsizing I left for a new beginning. I was hired as a Carman/Welder in December of 1991 in the South Kearny Intermodal facility. After staying at NJ Transit for nearly 19 years, I called it a day working for PATH. It had been a long Journey that thanks to Conrail hiring me, that made this railroad career possible. My hats off and extreme gratitude to Conrail !
