    I think this will be a great bike to compare to the CFMOTO 450ss.

  • @Tazytots
    @Tazytots 11 месяцев назад +45

    The CFmoto 450SS has a single Brembo front brake and it's more than enough for that power. You absolutely do not need dual discs up front. Also like, propping it up as the cheapest Aprilia bike is kind of pointless. It's made by an Italian company. That automatically implies it's still going to be more expensive than all of the alternatives for no reason other than MamaMiaMeItaliano.

      Agree 100%, my money is going CFmoto, dealers everywhere so that's a plus, I'm guessing this Aprilia will retail for $9k.

      It's fully manufactured in India from scratch like the smaller KTMs and the word here is that its going to be very competitively priced in the same segment. I expect this to be under $6200 for sure considering the similarity in setup. Else they're DOA considering the competition.

      @@SASA-dj7bf Doesn't matter if Aprilia MSRPs the bike at 6k. After all the dealership fees it's going to end up being an 8k expense.

    The last thing a new rider needs is the headaches that come with eurobike reliability, poor dealer service, poor dealer network, and expensive parts and service.

      I'll agree but all dealers are absolutely useless nowadays when it comes to service. I had to take my bike to an independent mechanic to get my Suzuki fixed because I think dealers hire anyone that says they're a mechanic

    The honest to god best part of the ninja 400 is that it's so popular. So many people buy one, then realize motorcycle riding isn't for them. Which creates a very robust market of near new ninja 400s that can be purchased for thousands of dollars less than you'd spend at a dealer. I bought a used 2023 Ninja 400 KRT for $4500 with 1400 miles on it. No dealer fees or surcharges. It'll be interesting to see if the same thing happens with the Aprilia RS 457 or if it'll be too high in price to truly compete with entry level bikes.

I'm in India and these are 3 completely different flavors and attention grabbing and now I'm super confused. As per my requirements for beginner and easy to ride, with great low end torque and quick and easy to navigate for city rides the Triumph 400 feels the right choice but man this year there are tons of great options to choose from, bike lovers are eating good this year foh sure.

    It's a great looking bike but exceeding 400cc is basically a death sentence in the Japanese market at least. We have tiered motorcycle license with your standard license allowing up to 400cc displacement, hence why Japan makes so many 400 bikes in its history. I doubt anyone would take the time and money to get a unlimited license only to ride this bike, especially considering they won't be a beginner.
    Interesting that it has 47HP despite bigger displacement than the N400 which has 48HP (in Japan). Between the Italian reliability, no dealer network, parts availability and pricing, this is lukewarm offering imo. Aprilia should have gone higher in displacement or given us an in-line 4 instead. Ninja400 ain't the most exciting bike out there but at least it is proven reliable and very customizable with crazy amount of aftermarket support.

    The engine sounds pretty good, but I'm not much of a sport bike guy. I personally kind of wish Aprilia would take this opportunity to make a less high-strung successor to their SXV/RXV/MXV bikes from a decade ago by putting this engine into a Supermoto/Dual-Sport chassis. They could make a bike around this engine that will be equally good at carving twisty canyon roads, hopping curbs and navigating traffic in the city, and tackling gravel fire roads for a weekend camping trip. At the same time it won't vibrate your hands numb on the highway like many single cylinder Supermoto and Dual-Sport bikes. If they can shave off 40 or 50 pounds from the sport bike version by removing the bodywork and tweaking the rest of the bike here and there, even better. It won't be as light and nimble off road as a competition dirt bike, but it will be much better on road and would be a worthy competitor to something like the DRZ400, which frankly is a segment that could use some competition.

    • @sebastian8294

      This is followed by Tuono 457 and Tuareg 457. Let yourself be surprised.
      Less weight with the same performance is not possible in many countries due to the large number of driving license classes.
      They could build lighter, but would also have to reduce horsepower significantly.

      @r.j.bedore9884 11 месяцев назад

      @@sebastian8294 I heard from another video about this bike release that they weren't going to have a Tuono version of this bike. A Tuareg version would be interesting, but it will likely be heavier with less wheel travel. I have really been wanting to see someone bring a lighter weight 2 cylinder supermoto that would be as good as the DRZ400 at all of the things it does well, but with a smoother 2 cylinder engine for more tolerable highway commutes.

I think the quality of Aprilia is more premium than a ninja 400. Im am adult, I appreciate quality, Im not as worried if it may not be as reliable as a ninja 400. They look pretty junkie stock. The RS 457 will be more reliable than most haters think. Any first year kinks will likely be honored by Aprilia as well. A New Engine, from Aprilia, already with sketchy reliability issues and with this model made in India, thats the formula for a reliability Shit-Show.
    Good luck to the beta testers dopey enough to get a first year model of this Bike.

      I have Aprilia RS 660 serial number 92 and 40,000 miles and 2x Tuono 660 first generation.
      Zero point zero problems for 3 years.
      The main thing is to always claim something without having experience!

      Have you seen the conditions in India? Indian vehicles are meant to be tough and cheap to maintain. I don't think reliability is going to be an issue here. You are just hating on India.

      Many smaller bikes are made in India, from all the big brands.

    Aprilia’s are awesome. The performance and styling is great. But they will never be a Ninja killer….because Ninja’s don’t breakdown on the freeway💯✔️🏍️🔥
