Well played! You really used here signet ring well and got an insane deck. I haven't played helena that much and everytime I do I keep forgetting she isn't blocked on green and blue haha. Keeps me from playing optimally. One thing I noticed: In round 7 at the end I would have probably used holoprojectors on dagger. This puts your discards into your deck and you have a very good chance of drawing opulence and web of power next round. You are almost guaranteed to get at least 1 persuasion for SMF and if you draw web of power you can use it to draw another card (or just early reveal). Luckily you drew opulence and web of power anyway for round 8, but the odds weren't great (5 out of 16). Would have been tragic if you hadn't been able to reveal opulence even once.
I know what you mean about forgetting Helena's passive ability, I've done it many times. That's an interesting idea about the deck reshuffle - I'm not sure exactly what was in my discard pile now, or what the odds were on drawing Persuasion but it does sound like it could have been a pretty smart move.
Funny moment i had with web of power is that i've played digital version quite a bit, about 300 hours on steam, and by that point anyone would assume you know every card/intrigue. So I always used this card on reveal to get a free faction step and I assumed that if you play it gives you 1 out of 3 bonuses that you choose. However couple of days ago I baught this card, I had all factions level 2 influence, used it on secrets to steal an intrigue card from an opponent. And i was like "wait, what? I get all of the bonuses?" Crazy powerful card honestly :)
Yeah the Reveal is usually the most useful it seems, still fun to try to get all those bonuses though! As for the Round 2 Holoprojectors idea, the Diplomacy wouldn't get shuffled into the deck because it would still be "in play". Unless I'm misunderstanding your suggestion.
@@bludgeontv maybe I was thinking of wrong round but the turn you bought memcorders and didn't play Diplo. Anything to draw through the deck a little faster to get to new buys is great even when not triggering reshuffles
@@sammacleod7950So that would be Round 6 - I got Testb of Humanity-ed putting me to 9 Persuasion. If I'd used Holoprojector's there would have been a risk of not drawing Persuasion and missing Spice Must Flow. Even without that I still might not have done it because I liked the cards I was drawing into but it could have been a good idea. But after the Test of Humanity I don't think it was worth the 2/7 chance of not being able to buy Spice Must Flow. In general though you make a good point, it's always good to pay attention to deck, discard, and think about opportunities to maximize efficiency.
Gutsy win, especially considering Baron was an early game monster ahead on VPs and basically everything other than solari. I also don't remember a single heighliner this game - just randomness or is conspire the new heighliner?
I haven't seen Conspire used that much so far. Heighliner is still usually a big deal, though maybe not quite as decisive with all the Techs that can affect Combat.

Don't worry about web of power's on play ability, the reveal is the best part. R2 you could consider using holoprojectors to reshuffle diplo
