I love seeing the enthusiam for physical releases, etc. As both a musician and a film fan who grew up before the internet took over, I always appreciate how collectors keep the old-school spirit alive by allowing the physical to co-exist alongside the convenience of modern platforms (Shout out to Astron 6 too, I like their work as well). Good ramble in this vid as usual.
I’m less than 16 minutes in and I HAVE to comment about Death Sentence - this movie is so underrated! I really like this movie and it is probably my favorite revenge movie. Kevin Bacon of course is great, but John Goodman has such a strong performance in this I think he overshadows Bacon. I’d love to see a review of this one! I love your collection of niche movies. My collection has glaring omissions of cinema that is embarrassing, while I also own movies that I wonder why I have. Your collection is much better than mine!
I’m also a lover of Jaws 3, so when you mentioned you liked it a lot too I was happy. Really great collection you have, thanks for the recommendations. It’s always great to find new horror movies.
Interesting addition to my collection… well I have various documentaries on various subjects. I have quite an extensive collection myself. I am missing a few titles I’d like to have but they’re out of print and I’m not paying those second hand market prices. I noticed you had a few of these . Good films that definitely need reprints. We definitely have a lot of the same taste.
This was fascinating. I particularly enjoyed all the small bits of extra information you gave us, like the story of why the rock means so much to you or why certain films in a series did or did not make it into your collection. If you are looking for inspiration for future videos I'd love to see you go into depth on any of the following: Female Prisoner Scorpion; The blood splattered bride; Lesbian vampire movies top 10; Deadgirl; Hitchhike; The last horror movie.
The rock from Martha's Vineyard reminded me of a license plate from there i found in an old collection, i guess i had family who lived there at one point. Anyways I understand why you love it so much because I think the plate is one of the coolest things I've found from a huge collection of interesting family stuff
I really enjoyed this video and trust me I understand running on fumes and getting content out. So many great movies you brought up, a few I'm glad to see get some love. I have to bring up the Last Horror Movie in particular because it's also my favorite found footage film, so incredibly creepy and underrated and I recommend it any time I can. I can't wait to see you do a video on it one day.
I saw Jaws 3-D in the theater looong ago... it was an interesting experience. One of my favorite piece in my collection is a subtitled copy of Battle Royale; it was a gift from a friend and I absolutely cherish it.
I was not expecting this video but I’m really happy you made it. You have a lot of great movies and as a collector myself I love your collection. You don’t do these videos often but they are great to watch. Awesome collection !
Saw a Copy of "The Entity" in your collection. which I think is a very underrated and scary horror movie that I recommend people give a watch. (if they can handle the plot and numerous scenes of SA.)
awsome collection! as luck would have it, i was able to salvage MOST of my blu ray collection in which i kept the collection relatively small to make the move easier (which turned out to be an emergency move long sad story there) and also i have 2 USB pen drives worth of movies to play in the USB port… had to leave my entire CD collection behind which again as luck would have it, i ripped and backed up on pen drives and mac computer… now that i’m settled in California with my sister i can now focus, relax and get my mind on my hobby of movie blu ray collecting. BTW, i saw “Chud” in your collection… love to hear your review on that one, i got that on my pen drive. and the actress who was in the first “Angel” movie was also in “Jaws 2” she’s the one who went out with Mike Brody on that sailing party…
Your movie collection puts mine to shame lol some of my movies are: cannibal hollacaust, Cathy's curse , superstition, Abby, orphan, the gore gore girls, the body shop, zombie Holocaust, fatal games, graduation day, girl school screamers, just before dawn burial ground, carnival of blood, the exorcist, wrong turn, don't go in the woods, don't go in the house mortuary, carrie 1976 ect..
That's hard to say. I started out as a horror collector and that led me to becoming interested in Grindhouse cinema. I'd say a combination between The Hills Have Eyes, Dario Argento's Opera, Thriller: A Cruel Picture, Zombie, And Switchblade Sisters got me curious.
Wish you talked more about some of the gialli in your collection. I also love seeing horror fans talk about other genres. I noticed you had Die Hard, which is my all time favorite film. I love watching mostly action and horror.
I enjoyed seeing and listening to you about your great movie collection, must say you like horror wise and other genres similar things to me and what I collect. I like my dogs and cats also. Maybe not interested in caliglia, but you got to be in right frame of mind, have seen clips of that. Like my James bond, all horrors, inc silent, universal, hammer, and my martial arts, Jackie chan, TAKASHI Miike, Tartan extreme, Yakuza, Triads, Revenge flicks. I too have a film room with canvas movie prints, toys, funko pops, figures, no Jaws. Look forward to your next video Maniac666. Bye.
Awesome collection mate My mind set is the same when upgrading . I don’t upgrade all my movies unless it’s something special or a favourite because why add something I own when I can add something new.👍
My Holy Grail in my movies collection are the VHS from Venezuela. I have 250 of them and bear in mind that like in 2008 I sold like 100. These movies represented an era in P.R.🤔
Really cool collection I love the James Bond collection l myself have all the Brosnan and Craig dvds. If you don't already have them I would like to suggest to good action movies Surving The Game staring Ice T and Hutger Hauer and Equilibrium staring Christan Bale
Love it! Your collection is similar to mine. And please review Cruising, and for a gay comedy that is from the same time period as Cruising I recommend "The Ritz".
Hey Justin. Great to see your collection. Would like to see your thoughts on Cruising. I like it a lot but not 100% sure on its total success as I get confused where Friedkin was coming from with the killers/killers angle. Great film but I find it a bit messy. Sorcerer is incredible. RIP Billy.
Mrparka did a video with a friend and they went in depth into Cruising. Very good video and they did a good job at explaining Friedkin's intent with everything :) I hope to cover Cruising soon, but until then I highly recommend that video. Here's the link ruclips.net/video/wCWmV1DwZDQ/видео.html
I may have overlooked it, but I didn't notice "A Bucket Of Blood" on the shelf. Have you watched it? If so, is it one that you would consider adding to the bunch?
@@TheManiac666 I can fully relate! There are several movies on my shelves that are still waiting to see the inside of my DVD player, and my streaming lists are exhaustive.
I'd love to see a Video Nasty ranking video! Although there is A LOT of crap on the list. The Nazisplotation being some of the worst (The Beast in Heat is the worst Nazisplotation for me). I've managed to see them all except Jess Franco's "Women Behind Bars"
Very impressive collection. I like your comment "You need to be in the right frame of mind to watch a natzisploitation movie" 😂😂 you should try to watch all the video nasties. For me that was a goal. I don't need to tell you the history of that collection. Most of them are utter garbage but the ones I have a problem with are the ones that contain actual footage of death. Including animals. I would like to recommend a Korean movie and there are a lot of good ones. I saw the Devil. Amazing story which is brutal at times. Maybe it's in your collection. I'm writing this about half way into your video. Keep up the good work "The Grindhouse will never die"
@@TheManiac666Justin, make sure you watch the original in French. The remake was awful. Same arrangement as "Vanishing" - Hollywood hired the original directors to do the remakes but with the typical crappo Hollywood ending.
Love Meiko Kaji the actress/singer, she has wonderful voice, female prisoner box set is way cool, awesome, I'd love for you to talk about that one day. Arigato
Hope you don't mind this extra rambley video :)
No, it's quite ok, I like rambley videos, haha :). Like your channel, find it very interesting. I enjoy it.
Rambley works all day long
I love to hear your rambles; it gives me a break from my own rambling, haha, and your obvious love for your interests is quite endearing.
The more you speak the better!!! I just saw the length and had to thank you before I even watch it!!! You are always super entertaining, thank you.
Ramble on...

"The Jerk"! One of the best Steve Martin comedies; I struggle to choose between it and "The Three Amigos".

Wow I Always Assumed From Your Background You Had A Large Collection
Very Impressive
I noticed Blue Monkey in your collection a very underrated creature feature
Canuxploitation aka Canadian exploitation doesn't get talked about as much

I remember telling people on MySpace about Death Sentence after seeing at the theater. haha Great camera work and awesome shootout at the end.

"Petey Wheatstraw" is my favourite Rudy Ray Moore film, as well!
Nice collection.
And I really like the 1976’s carrie, the omen, town that dreaded sundown, Alice, sweet alice, and grizzly and eaten alive.
And I also like a clockwork orange my favorite film from Kubrick what you have on blu ray.

Love Cruising and the movie is also really great! Do it! 🙂
Oh! And do Joe! I love that movie and even worked for it.

The Godzilla collection!!!!! Im jealous!

I haven't had a chance to watch it yet. My list of movies to watch is vast and constantly growing so some flicks tend to get lost in the fray.
