Good. It's honestly baffling that all of these Trump supporters are just now realizing that the bands they like have always had political lyrics that do NOT support republicans. Maybe they should have paid attention over 20 years ago. But don't worry Trump supporters! Bands like Trapt and 3 Doors Down will happily take you in as fans and it's the type of music you deserve.
I was at this show at one of the locations that they filmed and recorded. The Fall was absolutely the loudest song I've ever heard. The bassline rippled through my body and I swear to God nearly blew be back a couple feet. I'll never forget it.
I used to open up three or four bottles of wine and watch this in my younger years. I’d get wine drunk and destroy the house head banging and jumping around. Epic video.
Classic stuff right here. Saw them twice, awesome shows, but this must've been their best tour ever I guess. So badass. Al was completely on fire at that time...

Uncle Al is one of the coolest most underrated frontmen of music. I love his stage presence. I saw them in 96 at the Salem Armory in Oregon and my hearing has been fucked ever since.
well he had two things going for him during the early 90's....a lot of drugs, a LOT (read his book if you haven't) and before the internet...so he totally had this aura of danger about him. In 1992 when Kurt and Eddie were being grunge and emo, Al just had that wonderful "badass biker who gives no fucks" stance to him. I met and got to talk with him for like an hour in 2004 in Seattle and he was really hilarious. He literally did heroin for years no issues but around this tour when he started smoking crack, that's when the wheels started coming off.
All I have is this rip I made years ago too! I decided it would be a good idea to archive all my physical media at one point for that exact reason. Luckily the drive didn't data rot before I found part 5 of this. I love cloud storage now (dropbox, google drive) for that reason too!
According to me, this was the best Ministry band of all times.. I definitively prefer these musicians than the actual ones.. Today, watching a Ministry's show is watching metal guys checking their heads with long hair, boring..
It's really impressive. But I still prefer that one of the past tour. Which you can watch in the "in case you didn't feel like showing up". Magic team. The Sphinctour is my second favorite.
Well, they are really good again like right now...you should check it out...but I always loved them...only complaint I have is Sin Quirin but he’s gone now for good so I’m a happy clam again.
I think the montage of Al going into sonic battle has to be one of my favorite Ministry moments. The way he's messing with people all the way and reacting to fans. He loves what he does and I'm glad he's still fucking doing it today.
My adventure with Ministry through my life. 1989 with Kmfdm in Chicago. Lolapolasa Chicago. Filth pig with L7 in San Francisco. Spoon tour Florida, slayer farewell tour. To me 89 was my favorite but the always kicked ass
Went to their Filth Pig tour concert at the Capital Ballroom in D.C. that year. Got backstage after the concert (friend's sister dating their lead guitar at the time). Al was unapproachable - stood dead still against the wall in a dark hallway with a shaman's staff at his side for over an hour. He finally packed it up and left. Barker was cool though.
wombsnap, I saw them on this tour in AZ. After the show, I saw Al leaving the backstage area. I was scared to approach him because of all the crazy stories you hear about him. But I summoned up my teenage courage and walked up to him. He was super cool. Just a super nice guy. Talked with me a bit, complimented my 1000 Homo DJs shirt and autographed something for me.
That show is etched in my memory forever as one of the most insane spectacles I've ever witnessed. I walked out of there drenched in sweat - took off my shirt and squeezed water out of it for what seemed like forever. I still get goosebumps thinking about the impact of that night.
MInistry at their best IMO. Before Al turned the band into a glorified metal group. Paul Barker was at the height of his samples and the music still had it's experimental edge.
I'm not saying that Al is the best frontman on stage. But I never watched someone like him, for sure. It seems that he knew the exact point between sarcastic and professional during all the concert. He's not the same, of course. But the job is done with no doubt.
I saw Ministry in Adelaide Australia in 1995 headlining the Big Day Out Australia's version of Lollapalooza at the time. Also on the bill was Offspring, Screaming Trees, The Cult and a very young Silverchair and I also believe the Prodigy before they hit the bigtime. Great day, Ministry played their Psalm 69 Show, was very very loud and lots of fun . Mikey Scaccia and Louis Svitek on Guitar, Paul on bass of course, Ray on drums and Duane on keyboards seriously sick show
I saw them at the second Lollapalooza in '92 near San Francisco. The lineup was Red Hot Chili Peppers, Ministry, Ice Cube, Soundgarden, The Jesus and Mary Chain, Pearl Jam and RATM on a side stage.
In '91 the lineup was Jane's Addiction, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Living Colour, Butthole Surfers, Henry Rollins Band, Ice T and Body Count, and Nine Inch Nails. Great fucking day.
I had chance to see them on the Filth Pig tour 2x and Spoon and they never disappoint. I recall them doing a Black Sabbath cover at the end but the acid was peaking by that point. Spoon tour they were just as tight and loud as fuck.
Pre show, I was sitting on a terrace in the sun and Al was sitting at the table next to me. Later, I saw him screaming obscenities at passerbys from his hotel window. It was the funniest thing. It was on a Tuesday afternoon or something and he was drink, hanging out of a window having fun and giving people the finger
I borrowed this album from the library back in the mid-2000s. My first introduction to this band. I have always thought that these guys were the precursors to Sevendust, in terms of ham-hocked/ham-fisted, hard to take seriously metal.
Damn, Ray wasn't kidding about the whole Sphinctour being physically gruelling... he's absolutely ripped here, all muscle, zero fat. He looks great for it, but man, I've been there with the whole looking "shredded as fuck" thing, and it's plain and simple unhealthy. I was working 90 hour weeks when I was in that.. state... recreation was bullying (very gently I might add) my boss into giving me a long weekend off. I'd pick my bass up Friday night, and put it down when my fingers were almost bleeding. Good times in some ways, but truthfully, it's rose tinted glasses. My fingers still have the callouses, and they serve me well, but as someone said during The Fix...... "This is no way to live man...."
love you Dragonfyre for loving M enough to upload and make sure i get my fix of this magical experience ...yes u mother funkin rock lady.... oh..cant ya just smell that stage from here!? this is pure fucking essence
It's amazing that Ministry is essentially an Oldies Act like not unlike Iron Maiden. These bands just seemed so edgy and new back in the day. But they can't escape the gravity of their early work.
It always amazes me at how creative and productive Al was through till this tour. The fact that he achieved it all while he had a heroin habit just blows my mind. I'm not even 1/10th as creatively productive as he was, and I don't have substance issues!
thats how it gets ya dude, the drugs work for a while , he went threw periods where he was spo profound that most could not even grasp what he was dong , then boooooooooom you hit the wall and the monster takes over, takes alot of self discipline to be able to just record letr alone tour , but strong as he was he was no match for junk, no one s maybe william Burrows but thankfully hwe got it together, but make no misatake , he did not do it for the image or was a poser lke so many out there,,,poser from Crue knows bout that
It truly is the "flaws" that make the individual... Al was always just being Al, because he struggles to be anything other than himself and it shows in hindsight. And that's the magic every label as missed... we love Al for being insane, batshit crazy "doing his thing" Al. That's it. Fuck profits and crap. Ministry.
@@AlleineDragonfyre I love Uncle Al's safe space. He's so warm and cuddly. He always has kind words for the little ones. The only thing I don't understand is this "New World Order" he keeps talking about. You seem very intelligent. Can you explain that to me?
I hate to say this but after Paul Barker left, Ministry has just been another, crappy metal band. Ministry were unique and Al and Paul had a great synergy of their talents. Peter Christopherson of Coil directed the video for “Just One Fix”.
It's weirdly perfect, you almost don't notice that there's a blues harp solo in the middle of a crushing loud grinding riff… that damn harmonica just belongs there, it's part of the sound. I guess the best riffs are basically blues anyway!
oh FUCK, the days when i could take 10 hits of acid, smoke 3 packs of smokes by the end of the trip & run Up & down hills like as if a gazelle. What i would give to relive that again !

Agreed. Seen this tour in Dallas and that song shook the Bronco Bowl dome. Loudest show over even seen
