in my opinion if you make the puddles away from the house only teleport you to the house and not to any puddle then the puddle at the house should either be bigger and more notable or the ones away be smaller the smaller ones have less options and maybe even kinda like how in hades you can get the contractor to upgrade and add new rooms like healing areas mid floor you could do something like that and have all puddles lead home and the home one not lead anywhere and be upgradable to be able to teleport you to any puddle you have been to sorry i really like the contractor concept from hades and cant not think of it for rogue likes since well it adds alot of replayability

I think a good feature for the slime pet would be to loose it's target if it teleports or moves too far away too quickly (the mage slime, for example). The slime pet could show a question mark above its head for a second to remark it. Also, it could be very interesting if you showed more of its logic through the sprite, like getting mad towards any slime you attack, and other things like that
Feel like having the player being invincible while capturing could lead to some exploits, maybe try making it so the slime you are capturing has its attacks disabled, so other slimes that you aren’t capturing can still attack you
I call it the “Slime Drake” , it would have like an underbite and some scales cosmetic wise. For attacking i think it could charge and try chasing the player (it of course would turn slower), whilst leaving some fire behind its path, the higher the stage, the faster the turning and more fire it would leave behind, once in its final stage it could maybe occasionally spit rolling fireballs that had a bouncy and rolling movement pattern to them. I am really excited for this game btw.

Ok i haven’t played the game so if i’m wrong someone please tell me, but is it just me or is the capture gun the ultimate “get out of jail free” card? For what i’ve seen it seems possible (when you get stuck in a corner for example) to avoid damage by just starting a capture, moving away from danger (which is easy because the slimes are gone and you are immune to damage) and then either failing the catch on purpose to save charge or completing it. Now instead of taking damage for your bad positioning you just lost some ammo, isn’t that a bit much? Again, correct me if i’m wrong please.
Yeah, I see what you are saying and I thought the same when I ended up making this change. There is limited capture gun ammo if that helps, but I'll probably have to come back to this at some point.
The computer in your house in the start screen should be like “press e to quit” and close the application, also for the slime pet there should be some sort of visual effect to upgrading it, I’m sure it’s a massive amount of work but it’s soooooo much more satisfying
Idea: Puzzle piece slime: Every 4-7 seconds, a puzzle picks slime appears. After 10 of them apper, they solve a puzzle. When that happens, they explode and deal 10 damage to the player and kill every slime in the room. They are unkillable and only go away when you kill all of the slimes in a room. Type: Assasin/Ranger
You could replace the square slime with a cavalry slime (slime with a lance riding atop a horse). It would dash straight at the player, and be able to slowly turn whilst dashing, but instead of getting killed when shot enough, it would fall of the horse, then rapidly doing small dashes at the player.
Add a bat for melee. Comes with a new shop. SlimeMart, every weapon and upgrades are in it but the bat is a SlimeMart exclusive weapon that deals 10 damage. Concept for the bat: throw attack.
For the Capture Gun make it so when capturing a slime so down time and make the slime’s attack that’s being captured to only happen every other second.
I feel like some of the text might be a bit small for some people, mainly the shopkeeper’s item descriptions text size is something i see many devs don’t give enough attention, even triple A devs
imo the hacker slime’s binary shield should first have 4 digits (nibble), 8 digits (byte), 16 digits, 32 digits, and 64 digits, with the larger stages covering a larger area and either being in two layers or following a folded path. also if 64 is too many (i mean i’d argue a hacker slime would be a fitting slime to be super hard), 4, 8, 16, 24, 32 would also be a good set. also some sort of occasional (scaling with difficulty) ability to dodge a bullet the minimum amount at just the right time, as a matrix reference
What about a setting that would toggle between the slime to switching to current player target- or the slime staying on first target until that target is dead (much more pet tank style)
A cool idea I had as I was watching this, What if the hacker slime's shield's 1s and 0s changed. Like if every...idk, 0.5 seconds, the 1s would change to 0s and vice-versa.
I use Sony Vegas pro 13. I don’t think it’s the best tool out there, and I’m sure there are better options for beginners, but I’ve just been using it for ages now.
For the pet slime being too aggressive problem, maybe add something like bowsers fury where you can choose if bowser junior would help a lot, help a bit or help none. Ok, I’m going to watch the rest of the video!
Idea for the hacker slim, minions doesn't sound as much of a hacker thing as a shield, maybe the spinning shield is made of one's and zeros, if you shoot a one it disappears and if you shoot a zero it turns into a one while adding another one to the spinning shield, on higher levels you have to have no ones to deal damage so it's just timing on lower levels then on higher levels its more skill based cause shooting zeros would make it stronger
You should make it so better weapons unlock through processing through the game. For example you can get a certain weapon only obtainable though the mech boss. Another idea is a crafting system. Slimes drop certain ingredients. Causing this game to have another reason to grind.
Also another random idea is maybe the hacker slime could have an ability once the shield is broken the players screen becomes sorta of glitchy or blocks view with like a 01010 pattern.
How about a slimer Rifle, this would be a slow shooting, fast bullet and high damage gun, and the gimmick would be that there would be a line coming out of the scope so you could shoot more accurately. Pls ad this I think it's a really cool idea so when your bord of fixing bugs, you can make a new gun
I feel like the part where you made the slime per attack the enemy you shoot. Would be very annoying if you for ex are fighting multiple enemies in one room and you can’t focus on one slime while the pet focuses on another. This would make it so that the pet constantly moves around and isn’t as helping. :) My suggestion would be to make it so that the pet targets a slime for like max 10 sec and the later go target the slime you last attacked.

Excellent job at fixing all those bugs. It sometimes feels awkward getting so many bug reports but you'd rather fix them then fully release with them.

The big square slime is the one and only real hacker slime. it can cheat death, teleport, randomly disappear, and so on
