- For those that may have handled a SuperAmerica before you will understand. For those that haven't never pass up the chance to do so.
When good friend told me he was going to bring out a safe queen which had not seen the day of light in 10 years I was very curious. Not only was she gorgeous she shot well also.
Not only will it make you want one -- when my LOVELY wife saw the video she said you know, I don't think you even look at me like that anymore. I know what a shame, totally embarrassed lol. But she is so wrong she knows nothing or no one could ever replace her in my heart.

Worked for a gunsmith for years part time (TIG welding. Never charged him. When he sold his business he gave me a brand new super America with AAA French Carlo wood. It's truly a lovely rifle.
I have two K22's Hunter, HS. They make me smile every time I take them out, and squirrels absolutely hate this things.
Another fine looking and great shooting rimfire rifle.
Love 22 rifles best of all.
My Dad did business with Kimber from the start Clackamas I inherited the collection he had when he passed, and part of the collection was 6 Kimber's ALL serial number 17, of various .22 calibers, including the only .22 LR mod 84 with a flame maple stock. They were his prized posessions. They are a varmints worst nightmare.

Yep.Them Kimber 82's will get you in trouble. I own 4 of them, plus my Kimber K22 and my Kimber 84 SSV.

Picked up a Yonkers Kimber 22lr about 20 yrs ago. Beautiful great gun. Tackdriver. When I saw later they discontinued it due to lack of demand I realized I did not have enough mags. Scrounged thru ebay for months and finally bought up 8 mags in original pkgs.

I love these rifles for a number of reasons, particularly because the magazine is recessed within the action and does not stick out like a sore thumb. Other manufacturers could do that too but they won't and for the most part their rifles, although fine in other ways, are just plain ugly. And ugly never ends. I don't understand why manufacturers have departed from proven concepts in gun smithing and traditional style for some of the stuff the push onto the market.
I wish they still made that in .22😥

This looks like an 82B. These rifles were hand-fitted into the stock and the barrels were free-floated. I have a. 82C Super America. It will shoot well under 1/2" at 50 yards with good ammo... as accurate as my Winchester 52C target rifle. The only rifle I have that will out-shoot it is a Turbo Specialties benchrest action with a Shilen choked barrel in a McMillan stock... that will shoot under 1/4" groups at 50 yards with RWS R50 and Federal UM1 match ammo.

man! love me some super America!!! I still have not shot my M84 super America in .308 however kimber did contact me to let me know when i would get my rifle...... i cant wait!!!! Kimber has moved out of NY so i understand the delay.
A buddy of mine has several of these. The triggers on these are as good as it gets and the handling is amazing.... I will have one soon if all goes well....

There should be initials on the stock under the barrel if it sv I made that gun . Not trying to correct you but that's ebony not rosewood
I have an 82 that shoots one hole groups at 50 yards. Not the Super America though. I'd like to have a spare magazine but they are scarce.

You lucky dog! I have the original Kimber model 82 in the standard grade, it will shoot like that but it's no way as pretty! Nice video.
Lucky for being able to shoot it on this day but not lucky enough to own -- so nice for sure. Only bad part about this range session you can get on this never ending search for one. 😂

@@Dayattherange i believe they were guaranteed to shoot under .5" at 50 yards from the factory, but, I'm not positive. Can't remember where I heard or read that. But they are amazing guns..
Well....yes they're beautiful. Get yourself a Cooper .22 Jackson squirrel rifle now.... They'll put 5 shots through the same hole.

nice ! i ordered a kimber super America in a .308 on January 27th, 2020. Still have not received my rifle. I contacted Kimber and they said I probably would not get it until January 2021. Completely unsatisfactory to me, especially when you consider the cost of the rifle. Upon ordering the rifle I was told it would be a 2 month turn around. 12 months is completely unacceptable. I am sure I will love the rifle if I ever get it. And they will not refund my deposit.
