I can't believe how perfect she sings this... she's amazing the music sense/timing/rythm etc. are like perfect blows me away - can listen over and over and not tire...
Celine stayed true to John's version (it ain't hip hopped) and is truly lovely. I used to play this for my son and it means a lot to me. My 'beautiful boy' is now 26 and getting married. I couldn't use the John version for my mother of the groom song, so this is perfect. Thank you.
ooooooooh, what's the matter boys, Celine takes this song to a new level and as usual her version is BETTER, WAY BETTER... just face it CELINE ROCKS, her talent is without limit - but don't worry, she is honoring him by singing this so lay off - - CELINE IS #1
I agree with you, Celine can sing anything! I'm a true fan of Celine and I really love this song sung by Celine. Here, as you can see, there are lots of Lennon's fans and at the same time people who really don't like Celine... It's so sad that people who don't like somebody can't see talents, other talents than their idols... There's no respect for others... Love Celine! Great song sung originally by Lennon and wonderful by Celine! Something different!
@@leslierutledge6162 yeah I’ve heard his version but I think I like hers better. And so I have hers on Apple Music that is like the very first thing I added to my library.
This is such a love filled song, and you can tell that John would do anything for Sean, its a shame he couldn't really see him grow. We love you John. RIP
Dear giabeatlemaniac: John's gone. Let him go!!! I'm a Beatles fan as well but life goes on, man!!! Celine Dion is a musical legend as well. That's all I'm gonna say.
I love John's version, but it's almost painful to hear it because it's so heartbreaking that "the monster" wasn't gone and took John away from his little boy. Celine sings this very beautifully, and it's a love song to her only son as well, so I don't think she deserves to be called a "B" or told to "burn in hell" for covering it. A lot of parents felt this song spoke to them. No need to trash her for feeling the same. Great songs speak to people's hearts.
I respect and give him credit for that, however Celine has a gift that allows her to sing any song perfect... I have yet to see her screw one up -she's just that damn good! I love her... she's awesome
love this song i play it for my baby boy alot he smiles everytime he hears it jordon is a beautiful boy he dont know how lucky he is to be here after being 5 weeks preemie and everything else he has been through
My sister got me this CD and a great player when my Aidan was born in 11/04 - I played it incessantly and the nurses on the floor all loved it too - sooo beautiful. She is amazing - haters are jealous of her perfect voice in my humble opinion.
HAAA... once again, Celine sings it best by far... forget who wrote it or sung it first SHE SINGS IT BEST - her voice is so smooth and perfectly tuned from note to note - CELINE RULES
sorry, Lennon may have written it and sang it first, but Celine's voice is so much better, so smooth and perfectly in tune... Celine can sing anything and it sounds so good
Remember, without John Lennon this wouldn't of happened. He was the song-writer that created this song, and through him and Sean Lennon, this song and it's legacy lives on.
@giabeatlemaniac "Sacreligious"??? Obviously not a Celine Dion fan. Many people have remade songs of celebrities/singers that have passed on in honour of them and/or the meaning behind the song. I think Celine does a great job... She (obviously) was thinking of Rene-Charles at that point. Good job Celine, I love you (a Canadian fan). Je t'aime Celine!
I adore Celine, but John's has a heartbreaking vulnerability - and the fact that he didn't get to see his little boy grow up gives it a tragic beauty. That said, I do love this - and a big reason is, Celine shows off her vocal purity without the need to "sing big" - the vocal pyrotechnics a lot of critics slam her for. Very nice.
She has a son... what is your problem, she is a singer, she likes other singers and imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.... she has nothing to prove, if anyone is to sing a song- would you not have the best do it vs. some idiot-- CELINE IS THE BEST -PROVEN FACT -she's got the numbers man!
true but it is one of the few songs about a father and son relationship and the relationship a son has with their father is different then the one they have with their mothers
I think that john lennon original version is just wonderful. But, the most important thing of this song is not WHO sing it, but what the song says... and if the message of the song is deep and touching as in this case, it doesn't matter if is Celine or John who sing it. A song is not only made by the singer, but the meaning of the words! and i think that a father like john would have been happy to hear it form a woman: here Celine is not a singer, but a mother in first place.
this is a great rendition!!!!!! respect it as another version. cmon so many other songs are sung from different singers. so whats wrong with this one??
i dont think anyone is trying to denigrate anyone as you think...i admit there are artists who cover his songs fabulously but there are others like this one who butcher it.. so there its naive its true...naive is not seeing truth
lol not trying to be mean but has anyone noticed that when normal everyday ppl cover songs it sounds way better than celebrity covers? or is it just me?
you're just pissed because Celine's voice is perfect and her singing talent allows her to cover and SOUND MUCH BETTER than the original... all you die hard lennon fans can kiss my ass - CELINE IS GREAT - THIS COVER IS BETTER -TOO BAD!
I have to correct myself everything I said below this posting is exactly the way I want it 2 b. Except this is John Lennon's song not Jeff Buckley covering a Leonard Cohen song. Aside from that she still sucks really bad, but a really nice version of this song is sung by Ben Harper.
Lmao John Lennon/Beatles fans are the most pretentious fans in the world. If Jesus had been singing this, they would have said it was a disgrace. This entire album was a concept album about motherhood--everything on it is soft and breezy. Also, she would have had to get permission from the people who own the song to cover it on an album, so clearly they thought she was good enough to cover it.
oh come on... is about parental love... whatever theres no genres... it is strange how you dare to judge the intentions of lennon when you all know he was an open minded man. he made it personal he is a man singing it so his son...but theres no limits to it...did he ever say there was? i dont think so, TRUE ARTISTS DONT THINK THAT WAY. you can sing this to a friend...to your brother..to your lover...you take out it "daddy" and the "Sean" which are the things that make it personal to lennon
My sister bought me this cd, along w/ a blue CD player right after I had my Aidan - such happy memories - all the nurses loved hearing it over and over : )
I can't believe how perfect she sings this... she's amazing the music sense/timing/rythm etc. are like perfect
blows me away - can listen over and over and not tire...
Insanely talented she is
This is beautiful, she sings it with so much heart i love it so much. I dont know how someone can not like it, they just must be jeolous.(:
she made it sound like a real lullaby - such an angelic voice!!!
Celine stayed true to John's version (it ain't hip hopped) and is truly lovely. I used to play this for my son and it means a lot to me. My 'beautiful boy' is now 26 and getting married. I couldn't use the John version for my mother of the groom song, so this is perfect. Thank you.

Extremely talented woman! I mean, not as amazing as the original, but this version is very pleasing to the ear ;)
She's a legend. She's the best selling female artist ever. So what you said obviously isn't true. I love her so much!
I liked it... Celine just express her admiration for John...
I agree with you, Celine can sing anything! I'm a true fan of Celine and I really love this song sung by Celine. Love Celine!
Great song sung originally by Lennon and wonderful by Celine! Something different!
celine dion is the best. she's awesome
Love her Miracle cd and this is a great performance..thanks for clipping
Loving this version of this song! her cd is AWESOME!
I cannot believe that after a long time of not remembering who sings this, now finally I remember.
@Shianna M McClendon
John Lennon wrote it and performed it... but Celine does a really beautiful job!
@@leslierutledge6162 yeah I’ve heard his version but I think I like hers better. And so I have hers on Apple Music that is like the very first thing I added to my library.
beautiful song...
loveyou john
OMG, love this song, and my nephew too♥‼
This is such a love filled song, and you can tell that John would do anything for Sean, its a shame he couldn't really see him grow.
We love you John. RIP
I just learned about this song and didn’t knew she sang it. I love it. 🥰
Dear giabeatlemaniac: John's gone. Let him go!!! I'm a Beatles fan as well but life goes on, man!!! Celine Dion is a musical legend as well. That's all I'm gonna say.
I love it! I love heeeer! Celine's amazing

No need to trash her for feeling the same.
Great songs speak to people's hearts.
John Lennon actually wrote this for his second son (not Julian, sadly) Sean Ono Lennon.
Beautiful.
she is beautiful
I respect and give him credit for that, however Celine has a gift that allows her to sing any song perfect... I have yet to see her screw one up -she's just that damn good!
I love her... she's awesome
love this song i play it for my baby boy alot he smiles everytime he hears it jordon is a beautiful boy he dont know how lucky he is to be here after being 5 weeks preemie and everything else he has been through
I love Celine!!!! this is one of my favorite songs!!!!
no I'm just in love with Celine's voice
this song makes me cry
life is what happens to you ,while your busy making other plans... great cover celine, rip john
My mom played this for me when I was like a year old I’m 15 it pops in my head here in there and I usually listen to rap n trap but I love this song
omgg!!!! very beautiful!
She is very honest about not writing her own songs.
i put my son to sleep with this song every night!
love this song i play it for my baby boy alot
BEAUTIFUL SONG
Wow ! I don't know the version of John Lennon but Céline's version is totally amazing ! I love you Céline !
My sister got me this CD and a great player when my Aidan was born in 11/04 - I played it incessantly and the nurses on the floor all loved it too - sooo beautiful. She is amazing - haters are jealous of her perfect voice in my humble opinion.

SHE SINGS IT BEST - her voice is so smooth

This song has grown on me..I don't hate it anymore but I don't love it either! :p The Miracle album is amazing vocally though.
sorry, Lennon may have written it and sang it first, but Celine's voice is so much better, so smooth and perfectly in tune...

i agree with misaac. this song is about a father's love for his son. celine tried, but it just doesn't have the same emotion, she kills it.
john is not turning over in his grave...
he is "SPINNIN' LIKE A FRIGGIN' TOP!"
If you don't like it DONT WATCH IT, it's that simple.
Very nice.
NICE!!!
YOUR FULL OF IT....
Celine makes this song perfect...
I don't give a crap who wrote it or sang it first... SHE SINGS IT BEST! period.
i love this song much (for my son)
38 people don't haven't a beautiful boy...
JOHN LENNON LEGEND FOREVER
She has a son... what is your problem, she is a singer, she likes other singers and imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.... she has nothing to prove, if anyone is to sing a song- would you not have the best do it vs. some idiot-- CELINE IS THE BEST -PROVEN FACT -she's got the numbers man!

I know that this is one of Paul McCartneys favorit songs from John lennon..
John Lennon's song to his son. Love it.
i dont think anyone is trying to denigrate anyone as you think...i admit there are artists who cover his songs fabulously but there are others like this one who butcher it.. so there its naive its true...naive is not seeing truth
Wow...she just pretty much shat all over this great Lennon song!
2019
y aqui la gran version del clasico del Double Fantasy Ea Ea..
lol not trying to be mean but has anyone noticed that when normal everyday ppl cover songs it sounds way better than celebrity covers? or is it just me?
The original is not automatically better...
Celine I have to admit, does a better job!
Why are people arguing over who sings it best? Lennon would've wanted his song to go on after his death. He would've loved other artists sharing it.
Lennon version es unique it can even make you cry, celine version is just another song
you're just pissed because Celine's voice is perfect and her singing talent allows her to cover and SOUND MUCH BETTER than the original... all you die hard lennon fans can kiss my ass - CELINE IS GREAT - THIS COVER IS BETTER -TOO BAD!
Well.. John Lennon like this cover ;)
try "put it there" by paul mccartney
Uhmm it was john lennon who performed it not the beatles and he wrote it for his son Sean, celine dion just sings it she doesnt but heart in it
I bet she reworked this song for her three boys. It's not as good as the original though. John put a lot more feeling into this song.
Why would she write a song about Sean Lennon?
I have to correct myself everything I said below this posting is exactly the way I want it 2 b. Except this is John Lennon's song not Jeff Buckley covering a Leonard Cohen song. Aside from that she still sucks really bad, but a really nice version of this song is sung by Ben Harper.
Wench??? And its not garbage!! celine rocks!! X
lovely version of John Lennons song
good cover of John Lennon's wonderful song.
Regardless of what you think, her version is better!
I like her cover version. John Lennon would've liked it, I'm sure!
she has a good voice but no one can beat john lennon
Lmao John Lennon/Beatles fans are the most pretentious fans in the world. If Jesus had been singing this, they would have said it was a disgrace. This entire album was a concept album about motherhood--everything on it is soft and breezy.

Jesus is a disgrace...
Please STOP with the hate Trump Adds prior to the video!!!! PLEASE!!!!
@lrh0201 I hope you play him Johns song and not this one.
oh come on... is about parental love...
whatever
theres no genres...
it is strange how you dare to judge the intentions of lennon when you all know he was an open minded man.
he made it personal he is a man singing it so his son...but theres no limits to it...did he ever say there was? i dont think so,
TRUE ARTISTS DONT THINK THAT WAY.
you can sing this to a friend...to your brother..to your lover...you take out it "daddy" and the "Sean" which are the things that make it personal to lennon
Celine rocks! I love this son but I like John lennon's song better :o) I actually made a video w/his song....."Good times, Good times"
@xxxCELINEDIONFANxxx I do Love her, and her voice too, but she's not better than John Lennon and The Beatles ! ♥
her version is better than john lennon's????? are you completely devoid of feeling? good god
Yeah just like I suppose Janis Joplin ruined Bobby McGee because it was 'supposed' to be sung by a man?!?!
I can hardly to see you come of age
My sister bought me this cd, along w/ a blue CD player right after I had my Aidan - such happy memories - all the nurses loved hearing it over and over : )
how is that naive? its true
Beautiful vocals notwithstanding, I prefer Lennon's version.
Also, this is lipsync - you can tell from the doubletrack during chorus.
no she didnt
Love you Celine but this is a one man song namely JL. Doesnt have any feeling.
lmao what would you know about being a true artist gabeeota
Why can't artists stick 2 there songs and stop making amazing songs crap
NIE POWINA TEGO RUSZAC TO PAMITKA SYNA LENONA NIE JEJ SYNA
john is 1000000000000 time better !
WOW way to ruin a perfectly good song...no one can sing it better then lennon
RIP John
Beautifully Butchered
Yeah, if it was covered as horribly as this one.
Yeah I agree. It's missing...something.
It's missing feeling or something. I don't know.
Something's just not...right.
Sorry Celine, try again.
i don't like this
