My humble submission to all out there... The word passion originally means doing nothing for others and doing everything only for you and the doing keeps changing every now and then. Such life never exist in the world. Because Life is all about the person, his understanding of the social environment and his interaction and outcomes with the fellow human beings. I am also a mechanical engineer, passed out from a reputed college. I got multiple offers including IT. I joined IT and quit in two months then I joined a core mechanical engineering company. Life was interesting only for two years both at workplace and with friends. After two years the boredom started because all the happiness was because of friends but they moved away for various opportunities. I quit and became clueless and got some clue in some other field and travelled. Same feeling happened after 2 years. But didn't quit because there was no option for quitting. Now it has been 14 years and will continue for few more years. Job is a job that's it. Quitting is not a solution to any problem, your quitting should be for a start somewhere else. If you are to work please work where ever you can grow. Let there be passion only in person life. Wishing you all a happy personal life.
